He speaks the truth, look at the FTO LM SuperTourer versus the Gillet Vertigo (which seems to be back into competition, so I'll use it) - 400bhp difference, and only 5mph :sly:

True, but that is because the FTO suffers from the same downforce glitch as the Skylines and 3000GT's. And the FTO has torque.

No, the Saleen suffers a downforce glitch. The FTO and 3000GTs are blessed with it :p
Anyway, I was just using that to show that power or weight is never the whole story. The Vertigo doesn't have torque :lol: I didn't realise until the Tuning Competition how peaky it is.

i find it very interesting, that some cars that have the power and the torque also can't break the barrier......like CTR2, Saleen and so on!

Hello to all, I made the prove with the Toyota Gt1 RC full tuned nitro also and pushing a couple of times I achieved 540km/h (335mph).
I think is possible to go faster entering in "Like the wind" race and getting vacum with the other cars in the correct moment may be we can earn more speed, the problem is to reach the othe cars when they are in the middle of the strait part of Test Course and with enaugh nitro...

PD.: Hello DE I agree with you, the GT1 is the fastest car in GT4, no regrets..

:boggled: No idea. All I can think of is that the throttle pedal isn't allowing quite maximum output? Make sure the blue throttle bar on the HUD is full when you've got the pedal all the way down. That's all I can think of, bar asking the rather obvious question - did you do an oil-change? ;)

Please read the rules in Post #1, I won't quote them myself as they're not hard to find - we do not permit any runs made outside of the Machine Test - Maximum Speed runs at the Test Course. Slipstreaming other cars is strictly prohibited. Click here to see just how much faster the TS020 is. :)

EDIT - By the way, I will be away from now until Monday - just carry on as normal, and I'll hopefully catch up when I get back.

Please don't call it a holiday, (Viper knows damn well it wasn't ;)) I've rarely been so worn out in my life :lol: Anyways, back now. Nice worth 2078TM, I will (with luck) get that on the leaderboard sometime tomorrow.

Ok, I improved my last speed record (under the rules), I made 581km/h (361mph) with my GT-One TS020 and I'm still working on it, now the 2078TM's record of 371mph seems imposible, I don't know what to do to get more speed, but who knows?, I reached this speed using long gear box and get the maximun in 5th gear and nitro, tomorrow I'll put fotos.

yes, i have something new/old on the horizon FormulaGT, but it needs some time. also in the next few days should my long awaited 6.2mile-edition-project-car arrive and then maybe another new speed from me...

Wonder what it could be???

I haven't really been chasing after any speeds, mainly been playing around with the 120d. That is such a fun car to drive and race. I can pull low 7 minutes on the ring, run mid 10's and has a top speed of.......

I do have 2 new records though, but I'm moving back to university tommorow, and so if I don't get a chance to record them today, you may have to wait another day or two.
 
Argh. I managed to read 120d as 1.20l instead of 1-Series 2-litre. Ignore that random screw-up, I'm better than that with car designations. Usually.

Anyway, it's about time I updated the leaderboard...
