Nice work MS, I thought you might have some sort of response ready :p Fear the vengeance of Crimson's Jaguar, though...

Hmm....By .1 you took ma' title.....

we'sa gonna dance!!!!

j/k nice job, mang. I'll be back with a higher speed.

so, i have a new speed with my first long awaited 6.2mile-car, but i'm not happy with it, so i think i'll have to fiddle around a bit and then post it (currently @ 314,xxmph).

congrats to all with new speeds 👍 and to D.E. for getting premium 👍

Do I smell a skyline?

Do I smell a skyline?
*head snaps round* Hmm. Hadn't thought of that :p

2078TM, I give you... Six hours from now ;)
But good work anyway 👍 I think this is a legitimate run, and I'll let it slide for now, but do try not to let the car drift left towards the end of the run - it doesn't do this on its own, and the camera angle means the best view I can get is with the car hard over by the right-hand barrier - so try and get it there next time :dopey:

This battle of the Bentleys is amazing, keep it going! You're fighting your way up the leaderboard side by side, and getting so close to the magical top bracket...

Actually, 360mph isn't the top bracket any more, so you need to get to 361.90mph to be there ;)

Well, DE, so far the Bentley's speed has lasted more than six hours :nervous:

I finally went out and bought another memory card so I am now the proud owner of a fresh R89C. Amazing what 6500 less miles and 42 more HP can do - I picked up 5MPH over my previous best speed:

After your comment regarding the position of the Bentley I did notice that I have been tending towards the inside of the track. So although the above run (which I did last night prior to your post) was further away I added a couple of tire shots this morning when I uploaded just to make it easier to judge. I think what happened in the case of the Bentley especially, and to a lesser extent with the Nissan is that I was watching the NOS indicator to see when it ran out rather than watching where I was going.

A little pushed for time at the moment, so I'll get your video verified ASAP 2078TM :)

It seems MS is indeed late responding, so we'll see how long your Bentley speed stands for :dopey:

*posts at exactly the same time as Opendriver* :D

nope......haven't got the 6.2mile R33 GT-R V-spec yet :sly:

still fiddeling and still not happy with my current speed........ :indiff:

Still trying to figure out what it might be...

A 6.2 mile SC 300 maybe?, same engine as the supra

Both have the 3.0 L 2JZ-GE I6 in them, why not?

Woke up about 10 minutes before that 6 hour deadline...

I might have run 360mph+, but it's a close call in regard to wheelie-ing, so I'm gonna do a safer run when I get time to. The setup is massively unloaded at the front (beyond the normal threshold), so the difference between a run where it wheelies and doesn't is really down to how much the body lifts (and I think it may wheelie briefly between 355 and 357 because of this). Solving that for a safer run will slow the car down a tad, but on the upside, I don't think I've been fully using up my NOS. 👍

It's all alright for some, MS, waking up in the afternoon  some of us have to be outta the house by eight :dopey:

Thanks for trying your best to keep it legitimate, anyway, it saves me a lot of doubt and trouble :) just changing your timing and gears can probably get you there! 👍

I'm in the same boat with the R92C-P. After spending maybe 10 minutes with the R89 to see how much more I could get (I went 1.5MPH over the record on my first run with the new car) I went back to the R92C-P and spent who knows how much time trying to get a clean record run. While I had countless clean runs within 0.20MPH of your speed and a best just 0.10MPH short, the same setup generated six runs with record speed but in all cases there was some small wheel lift.

It may just be that we have gotten very close to the ultimate speed for both of these cars. On the other hand I felt the same way about the Speed 8 3.5MPH ago so who knows.

Very nice, Crimson, I knew you'd come back with something like that ;)
You held that record for more than six months, making it one of our longest-standing ever, and I wonder if a fight is about to break out... :D

Watching 2078TM's video...
Legitimate run, nice work. Had me worried for a second there:
*sees car drifting to the left*
*strangled curses*

Ah, good, tyre zoom :p
(What idiot built a barrier there?)

what do you mean with SC 300 opendriver?? it's a car that has been used many times, but i hadn't got it, got it now, so it's a "new" speed for me.....

congrats Crimson for taking back your record 👍

viper

Here's a run with a car I tried for the first time last night. I beat the record by only 0.02MPH; I'm sure there's more speed in it but it was 3:15AM and I really needed to go to sleep.

Pescarolo '04 346.19MPH (I even managed to stay in the middle of the track)

When I tunned mine I got around 720 ish with it, and it was used. Dont know about anything else though... have'nt testes its top speed yet

The picture you posted is in kilometres per hour, which means it is not an accepted form of verification. All screenshots posted must show miles per hour accurate to five significant figures from the Session Record screen - converting it ourselves is not possible as we don't know the exact conversion rate GT4 uses.

Nice work MS, I thought you might have some sort of response ready :p Fear the vengeance of Crimson's Jaguar, though...

Sorry DE you're right:guilty: , tomorrow I'll put a picture in miles, in Argentina we use km/h to messure speeds, reason because I play my game in kilomiters...

Here's a slightly faster speed in the Pesky - not much more but it was obvious thet I could get a better speed just by improving my line.

So, here is Pecarolo '04 at 346.41MPH

OK, now, back to work

Opendriver
I said it had around 720hp not 270mph
Ah, I actually misread that post as the 720 meaning miles per hour with a typo as well... Oops. Sorry :p must be an easy mistake to make, that's two of us so far :dopey:

Nice work 2078TM, I'll get that watched and judged soon :)

I think I might be fighting an up hill battle with that car. The power band is so low, and it makes gobb's of torque in the low end around, 3600RPM and 5500 for power
