Thank you DaAn. I owe you one for helping this thread out, once again :) I know it's your job, but I still appreciate it a lot. 👍

DE, you need to work on your forecasting skills - it's only early December ;)
Dammit, I was close! :D
EDIT - Actually, I said by 2007, so we're right on time! :sly: :D

By the way, I thought that the correct way to adddress GTKing's double post would have been to move both of them to just above my #4998
And that's your totally unbiased opinion... :dopey:

Well, another huge landmark passes and I'm going to run out of Oscar-acceptance-style speeches sooner or later  so for now, I'll just thank all my members, particularly my unofficial internal mod-squad (you know who you are) and here's to another two hundred and fifty pages!
 👍

I've done 375 in a chaparall 2J but then it cut out.

Man, you've been busy this morning - 9 posts already :) but welcome to GT Planet and this thread in particular.

First, please read the rules in the first post.

Is this MPH or KPH? if it's MPH then REALLY read the rules; if it's KPH then there's not much point to this post in this thread.

Separately - I think I will propose a sticky showing the correct spelling of Chaparral - for what it's worth, topgeardude, this is the first time I've seen it misspelled this way

Had a bit a a play today. Got my Chaparral 2D up to 210.65mph. 👍

I've also been looking around a few new cars. Found plenty that are in the 290mph to 300mph category.

^

well, if I may suggest, try Option Z. it's so close to the border, but somehow it's still lingering under 300mph. and then, there's R32 VSII (6.2miler, close but no cookie), some american/german cars that have power but the torque is in the wrong end of the powerband.. what do you think? is 300mph club ready for 300mph RUF?

So basically you were drafting in it's wake.. which unfortunately makes that achievement illegal.

That is techically astonishing!!!

(sorry about the smile guys, everybody else was doing it!)

(off-topic what else is technically astonishing is that TopGearDude may have managed to post on every thread, bravo!)

Welll..........

Since you acknowledged the fact that you did it, thats fine, case closed

But you could post some more speeds to even out your bad habits:indiff:

Who said MS was being serious :p
He's just trying to cover up his typo ;)

Well, I feel like making some comment about how I would never have done something like that a week after joining this forum, but... OK, let's forget it... Just try to get your grammar perfect from now.

topgeardude
no,its just i was going so fast while looking at the speedo that i was behind him very quickly.
READ the rules in Post #1

topgeardude
Well I like to post.
Do not make useless comments in my thread. Thank you.

Right then... I'm going to training camp with the Air Training Corps this weeked, so don't expect any Leaderboard updates until Monday night at best. That means don't post any new speeds :p

It just occured to me that I'm still not in the leaderbord, and that after 5000 posts. Way to go DE 👍 You did an incredible job on this thread ;) I'll be spending some time in the weekend to finally get into the "club" :D

is 300mph club ready for 300mph RUF?

i don't think that that is possible.......or at least a very hard fight!

i'll give it a go as soon as i get gt4, i'm sure it's perfectly capible

Joining the club! I wanted to join with a road car....and here it is a Zonda c12s 7.3 '02!

Not too bad for a drifter:O btw...hope this doesn't get overlooked I would like to be on the leader board.

There are plenty of cars that can reach 300 mp/h,you just need alot of money to make them do it.

Win the Mercedes CLK Touring car in Mercedes' manufactures cup. Max out its power, run it on bspec in the German Touring Championship. Speed it up x3, and in about 20minutes or so, you'll be through all the races, win the prize car, and sell it. Youll get around 1 million credits this way. ;)
