So much for live competition, I thought you said you were going 'soon'

I'll go back to playing with my R8 with the NOS back in play, chasing 345 or even 350 :)

Oh, and by the way, the 300.4mph without nitro was in 5th gear :D

EDIT - Leaderboard Updated... The largest update ever. There's now 98 speeds on the 'board.

EDIT2 - Ran the R8 around the test track a couple more times, no settings changes this time, I was working on my technique, with this result... a 345.13mph run :)
(Unusually high-quality image, must be having a good day ;) )

Leaderboard Updated again.

Just for the info; I´ve done extensive tests with the C5R, and I´m pretty sure it´s not capable of 300. In fact, the ´63 Z06 seems a more likely candidate. Although I´ve done extensive testing with that one too, someone might get it.

Seems possible... I'll have a go right now in fact. I'll keep exactly the same settings, just turn NOS off and see what occurs :)

You can't buy the R92CP except as a Black, and you can't buy the 88C-V at all, so I assume you mean money for the races to win them :p

EDIT - Evil, evil, evil... Just done a run with the exact same settings, and got 299.93mph! Going again...

EDIT2 - Same settings, just a repeat run, in the Audi R8 Without Nitrous, 300.40mph.

DE

Will keep on going with the Audi Non Nos Then,

I Have Both the R92CP and the 88C-V but have No Money for the Turbo or to Test it Lol,

All Sorted now Though,

So Will be Testing on :D,

Hear are some of the Bently Speeds,

Know i can get it Faster For Sure,

:D

Thats a rally bad picture but I think that it says 343.53
Ill be trying the BMW V12
btw it the V12 a turbo or NA?
I NEED TO KNOWotherwise it bye-bye 4.5mil and ill have to start over again with the german touring race....best way to earn money!
900,000 for 4 races in Bspec!

Alright, that settles it then, I´m really scared of you now! :) How on earth did you do 347 in that car??? I thought my 330 was good...
The V12 LMR is still a very good car, and fast at that, so a try couldn´t hurt, could it?
Wait a minute? 347? No no. That was for the R8, not the Pesky. My Pesky got 332+, not 347+ Also, I found that oil really does kill your speeds, as I dragged out the Lotus for another go and nearly got it higher (315.97!) when the oil started to go. And that was a perfect run too!

Oh, man that was good to hear! Now I´m not scared anymore! :)

What do you mean with the oil? I´ve always gotten more power (and speed) with fresh oil. Fresh oil means about 1 mph if you´re running 350+ speeds. Say you´ve run the R8 for 200 miles on the testtrack, without an oilchange, and your speed is 350.xxx. Change the oil, and your speed will be 351.xxx with the exact same setup. Refresh the chassis, and you gain another half mph (unless you´ve fitted a rollcage, then the car will be screwed up badly). Maybe roadcars have a different way?

That is a very foolish descision *grins menacingly* And I was talking about how the oil sarted to get dirty. Soon, oh so soon I will need a new Lotus. *sob*

yeah, maybe there is a peak in power just before the oil gets too dirty and sags the engine. I don´t know, but it´s a possibility I guess. Now that I think of it, the top speeds are usually achieved after a lot of runs. Well usually, that is. I ran my new Bentley at 354.xxx on the first run, and I haven´t been able to top that speed yet!

I might give the C5R a go... Although if you want to have the oldest 300mph car, try the '63 'Vette ;)

Yes Ghost, that photo is evil but I think it reads 342.53? Keep going :)

Do the Deutsch Tourwagen Meistershaft in A-Spec, ya lazy... :p
The V12 LMR is 3,500,000 anyway.

Huh... In the McLaren, it was 3mph at 297 :D

That's true, but I think that's just learning the best way to drive the car.

Good to hear that you're not God, Toronado! Just very close  I'll have to catch you! Seems possible, my R8 has 2050 miles on it (all mine of course, gotohell Bob), and I can't remember the last oil change

DE

Yes Ghost, of course I will. The fact that I am the one running the leaderboards doesn't make me exempt from submitting verification for the rest of you :)

Hi jamaican... If you don't want to read the whole thread, I recommend you at least read the first post... All four black cars are capable, the Toyota 7 is nowhere close and the Jag XJR-9... I don't know. Maybe.
DE
Yes. The XJR-9 can. By such a small amount that it makes the 2D seem like a rocket (let's just say it doesn't get 301). But it can do it.

use minolta 88v race car, max out settings including nitro
slaam down the nitro on the back straightaway and you should be sitting pretty!!! at the test course of course. my top speed is 339.29:dunce:

Is it really that close, Toronado? You can say what the speed is, so long as it's faster than 300.03mph. If it's slower than my 787B, we can't have it

DE

Alive Ghost
Probably the new one because I don't think the black one capable of doing that!
thats what I used and got it to 313 but did not have a camera
tried it again and got 309
oh well...
looks like I got some racin to do to get some cars!

Yeh that is quiet annoying when you don't have a camera ready and you do v.good speed and when you go back on to do it you have a camera but your speed goes down!:ouch:

*wonders if anyone else is testing out The 6.2 mile 300ZX* say.. DE, I'm going to ignore SS:n internal challenges. I want to make this bad mother ****er going past 300mph.. because, it seems that I'm far behind in the driving skills when compared to others.. after that, I'll try to learn how to drive with my DFP. or then I'll just return to DS2..

The Black 787B probably can get near that speed, bear in mind that I did mine a long time ago! No, I won't do any testing with it :) I'll retain my bottom spot!

OK... But not for long, right? Otherwise you'll always stay behind. Keep on going with us!

Toronado
The black one has 100 more BHP. Don't know why, but it does.
*re-reads*

Well, that's a turnup... Why does i- Oh, I know! It's the only car we've discussed with a Wankel rotary! Maybe they don't lose power, maybe they gain it! Oddballs  is yours a Black?
