No, I meant that the 787B in particular of the Blacks must be making it's own rules. The other Blacks seem to go by the laws of used cars... Unfortunatly :(

Nice going! Why the two pictures at the same time, by the way? Whatever  working on the leaderboard now!

Is the V12 LMR 4,500,00cr., then?

EDIT - Leaderboard Updated - There's now 99 speeds on the 'board.
Fun fact - Opendriver's BMW V12 is the smallest possible margin ahead of Lowizle's 88C-V, exactly four months on. 👍

yes, it really is
and a preview of what im going to do in the future:
get a stock audi streamliner and run it around the test course for a while!
doing the GV300km.......:)

That Audi streamline is one weird but good car!

Nice speeds there opendriver!

That Audi R8 I think is reaching a limit for me now i got 344 but I think there may be some more in there!

I will post a picture soon...💡

can one of the mods or whoever you are fix this thing with the posting pictures?
I post, come back later and cant edit it and put a pic in
anyway, a new personal best for me :

EDIT:

will post pic later

Don't expect it to offer much over 200mph stock.

Opendriver
just found out it can only be ran in the topspeed hall and the nurb. in practice or photomode
Yup. Special car. Nice going with the Esprit 350. So that you're not disappointed, I'll tell you now - a photo of your GT-One speed won't help, it's too fast -> need a video. Sorry.

Keep on trying Ghost, you might think you're close to your limits but the car says otherwise! Go for it!

EDIT - Leaderboard Updated.
There are now one hundred speeds on the Three Hundred Mile Per Hour Club's Leaderboard.
Well done guys!

Hello!

First let me say, to the 340's and up. You don't have to worry about me competing for the leaderboard.

Well tonight after aqcuiring most of the rest of the cars I want, I decided to go ahead and hit 300 mph. I figured first I'll try a not-so-popular car, so I grabbed the purple Jag racer... no nitrus but I though I might barely hit 300. After a few attempts I was no where near and it was pretty late already. So I switched to the Toyota 7... closer but I wasn't getting enough progress between tunings for my tiring patience. Not nearly defeated, just exhausted and determined to reach 300 tonight, I grabbed the Minolta... trusty Minolta. I'm so tired now that I can't remember if I broke 300 on my 1st or 2nd attempt... either way, out of about 12 tunings I was getting 310 - 14 most of the time, right in the middle and the last couple were around 325, session record being 326.17 mph.

I don't have a way to post any picture or movie... yet... and it may be a while, maybe even a long while. So having that in mind when I went for 300, I'm not expecting any celebration or any ranking on the leaderboard, just the ability to remove "Future" from my signature. And so that when I try to get other cars up to 300, and discuss my findings as well as those of others, noone goes "hey who is this punk, he's never reached the big 3-0-0."

Also, I'd be happy to discuss my tuning changes with an established member if that would help to remove any doubt.

P.s. Awesome thread!

Nope. The R390 GT-1 is the same way. 100 more BHP for no particular reason. The the black TS020 is only marginally slower than the new one, so it might as well have the same power.

That's is really strange Toronado, the R390 should be a pretty normal car... But whatever. Perhaps I should've bought the black one, but I didn't really want it... Anyway.

Hi Ben_jamin, and welcome to the thread! The Jag XJR-9 is generally said to be 300mph-capable, but it's not a very friendly first-time car to be using - not having NOS means it won't get far past 305 easily. The Toyota 7, it is agreed by most, is not 300mph material - it just doesn't have the top-end power and torque of the heavier cars. Great drag car though!

Anyway, well done in the Toyota 88C-V! That was, as you probably know, my first car as well :) it's a good flat-out racer, as the leaderboard shows! If you can get a photo of the Session Records screen, you'll be up on the 'board, but if you can't, don't worry - we believe you ;)

Hope you enjoy being a part of the club 👍

there is you proof DE:

btw that pic was taken at 359 and NOT 349.53
eather way I have proof that in both cases my wheels where all on the ground:crazy:

Toronado
DE, I've beem itching to get that TS020 speed from Rac3rX, so soon I should have a video up of my 372
 Go Go Go!
Then we'll have to bow to you as Lord God Toronado, with ALL of the records!

Opendriver, what photo are you referring to there? (Post #1513)

I think you may be right daan. That does seem a little far-fetched.
When you say 'specially tuned', it's gonna have to be seriously special. Photo please.

"Special tune" could be gamesharking perhaps?
Seems likely... :odd:

That photo has only just appeared in your post Opendriver... That's been happening a lot recently :irked:
I can't take that as proof though, it doesn't show the speed, sorry.

I think that you mis understood me, that pic was proof for the 349 run and not the 363( getting a max drive soon:)👍 )

Greetings all, long time no visit. Thought I'd check in to see how it's going. Wow, hasn't the thread grown! Well done, DE :)

And a special hello to Toronado, who's managed to get quicker in all sorts of categories. So I thought the least I could do is give you something to chase, if you feel like it.

Chaparral 2D. 307.84

Yes, but it still doesn't show the speed...

Yo Ozmac, and thanks. It's been a long time! I don't think Toronado will be able to say he missed you :p

Updating Leaderboard...

EDIT - Nice easy update, all it involved was swapping Oz and Toronado around :dopey: I think I might be doing a lot of that in future! That is, if you'll be sticking around, Oz?

DE

Toronado can rest easy in most cars. I don't have a video thing to confirm the entries in the fastest categories, so I might just have a crack at a couple of the easier, 'slower' cars if and when I get the time.

I'm really busy with work these days, and so I haven't done much GT4 lately, other than having a quick spin in the Ring every now and then at the end of the day (love those Family Cup 2-lappers at the Ring, setting the difficulty to 4 or 5 - a great way to get a quick racing fix).

Personally, I find all the top speed tuning in GT4 sucks pretty badly, it's nowhere near as intellectually interesting as it was in GT2 and GT3. In fact it's just downright weird in GT4, doesn't make much engineering sense at all.

However, I got out the PS2 the other day, spied the Chaparral in the garage and wondered if my record still stood. Time to visit DE's thread. When I spotted Toronado had slipped by me, the idea of annoying him was simply irresistible. Might annoy him again somewhere, sometime. Hope that doesn't disturb his sleep or anything ;)

I agree with you, Ozmac, when you refer to the speed tuning being less 'intellectually interesting' and 'correct' as previous GT games, although PD have made some worthwhile improvements.

Anyway, back to business. I pulled out my trusty & seemingly limitless Minolta and squeezed 365.10 MPH out of it this time (Will it ever stop?:scared: ...). I focused specifically on the timing of shifts this time around (as i only use 5 of the 6 gears during the run) etc.

As usual, pictures can be provided if need be.

update on the clk-gtr picked up over 5mph

 Ozmac... I don't think he'll let you get away with it!

Keep on pushing with that B_B_B... :)

OK FormulaGT, I'm downloading your video now.. Hope it's a good clean run, it'd be nice to see the GT-One knocked off the top spot - I never did like it much. The 88C-V never ceases to amaze ;)

EDIT - FormulaGT, I've watched the video... it looks like it's OK, but could I have some photomode shots of the wheels at a few different angles? Just to make sure, because the car isn't displaying the Churchill Effect in the final stages of the run, so a close-up or two would be nice. Cheers.

EDIT2 - Leaderboard Updated
