I've just claimed "Fastest Supra in 300mph club".
Congratulation 👍 !!!
Make me want to hurry try adding wing to my 299.01mph supra .

And KING Of ROCK, you have fastest Viper SRT-10 👍 !

Let's keep trying everyone 👍 :).

Thanks. :D and I think I shall start hunting some other 6 cyl car to tease. maybe I could snatch 3000GT's top speed record as well.. :trouble:

oh my. look what i did.. :D

:sly: Sorry DE, but you need to revise two records under my name!:O

No.
For 300mph, you need to test it at max speed test. Using test result from 1000mph or 1/4mile seem useless in here.

I was saying that since it worked on the 1/4 mile sprint, it might work here. After I did that treatment to the downforce, the final speed went up by a few mph.

Ok. I am saying that it is useless. Although it may give coincidentally the same result.
I use lowest final drive for my 349mph R92CP despite the fact that it give 1 second slower time at 1000m compare to higher final drive.

So, it's better to use high speed knowledge than drag strip knowledge. Although for some tuning it can be the same.

Err....its the last part that I meant. Although for some tuning it can be the same.

Since I never compare it, I don't know if downforce is included to that.
I do all my run with maximum downforce, with slightly reduced front. From what I remember in my R92CP test, higher front (compare to rear) reduce top speed. Since I think my top speed is decent, I consider my downforce tuning good enough. If I get left behind too much, I surely consider this again :) (*cough... TS020 ... cough*).

Well done Leo! 👍

Try for 306mph anyway :) I'm sure you can do it!

Hi KingofRock. Yep, what Crimson says is right - we usually use the Session Record screen for screenshot verification. Thanks for the speedy response to that, and running it again meant your speed increased anyway :p Well done with the Viper - it's given a few people a lot of trouble in this club!

*reading on*
That made me laugh, Leo! Not that you were over-confident of success :sly: Congratulations!
**Can Anyone Stop This Six-Cylinder Speed-Freak???**

That's an interesting comment on the downforce you use, Sucahyo... It's interesting for me because that's not what I do with my R8. I have my R8 on minimum front downforce and as much rear as I can manage without wheelieing, but maybe your method works better... Comparison Time! :p

Leaderboard Updated - Beneath the Hall of Fame, you'll find the new Recent Records section - I thought this needed to be added in, as a lot of records have changed hands in the last 24 hours!

It's definitely faster on R92CP :).

Hmmm... I found the R92CP to be a bit of an oddball, but just about any car behaves oddly at 350mph  So I'll try it out! If it works, I owe you big 👍

We now have more replies than the GT4 General Discussion Thread - Meaning that this is the largest GT4 thread on GTPLanet!

Hi guy´s after 4 hours experimenting with the setup and gearing i got it...
the 370 miles with the Toyota Minolta.
I hope this time i made everything right:
The Photo at the end and the video.
First part here
and the second part here
I had to make two one´s because my cam doesn´t rekord long enough.

it seems like your driving a wheelie down the straght in that 2nd vid. i don't remember looking at the sky in my GT-ONE.

that is correct. Wheelie = disqualification. all four wheels MUST touch the road as much as possible.

zocker_16
Wheelies are allowed i thought.

Three people answered your question last time, to say that no, they aren't allowed.

So given that you've already asked if they're allowed and been told three times that they aren't, what would lead you to think that they are?

I've actually worked with the tips of Team 66:) (thanks a lot mate:tup:) And I managed to reach 329.xxMPH in a Minolta,, But now I can't post pic of proof because I can't find the cable I need to transfer pics from my Digital cam to my pc,, So frustrating:( Oh well,, thanks again to team 66,, and congrats viper for reaching that speed with the supra:cheers:

Just to refresh everyones memory...
EDIT 14/10/05 - Rule 1 adjusted 19/02/06
The Rac3rX Section - Advanced Rules
1. All speeds must be proven by photograph to go onto the leaderboard. All record-breaking speeds and any speed exceeding 350mph must be proven by video.
2. At no point in your run must any of the car's wheels leave the track
3. All speed runs must be made at the Test Course in Max Speed Test mode.
4. You must not at any point in your top speed attempt travel backwards around the course.
5. Nitrous is allowed where available.
6. Whether a car is catagorised as road or racing class is usually very clear, however in some situations it is not. My decision is final when there is doubt on this.
7. No cheat systems or cheat codes are allowed.
8. You may share settings if you wish, however nobody can force you to do so.
9. Please act with courtesy and respect at all times

You have a nice speed Zonker but I dont think that it is legal by any means. When I got my minolta to around 345ish, I was looking at the ground, not the sky.

Skyline Squadron members and Skyline lovers are going to worship me for this one..

yes.. that indeed is 300.40mph in a R34 Skyline GT-R V-Spec II Nür!:dopey: :D

I think i just reached greatest moment during my GT4 career.. :O

I was just like  after doing this run, and I took multiple pfotos with my crappy webcam.. but there is the proof: Skyline GT-R CAN go 300mph!

I believe that there's mile or two to be found via gear ratios.. but I'm still shocked.. thus, I'll keep a small pause before I continue working on it..

OMG dudes,, just after I posted the above post,, I found the frigging cable I needed to transfer pics to the pc from my digital cam:crazy:, I couldn't add a pic to my last post so that's why I double-posted,,, Sorry DE

Sorry for the ****ty quality DE,, I've fot a crappy digital cam and a little Tv, so I had to twist and bend to make a pic where you could even see the speed:)
 mates
