Has anyone tried the Honda NSX-R LM roadcar for 300? That car will actually go into production, or *ahem*, a NSX (Honda NSX-R GT) with a similar body, that is. The specs are no where near those in the game.
Anywho, my first attempt rendered 295mph, so I do think it can do it.

I tried the race car breifly, and it almost did it. I should go back to it sometimes.

Anyway, to business! At long last, I've made some effort and added a new car to the 300mph club! The BMW McLaren F1 GTR Race Car was a car I always thought deserved to be in this club, and when I was garage-surfing I spotted it and gave it a try.

I put about 100miles on it thrashing it all the way up to 296.xx, and then gave it an oil change and voila...


I was in pretty serious doubt, however, about whether the car was actually on the ground or not! But, I've put some shots in for you to check. The first two are at 295mph...


And this one is at 300mph. This swings it in my opinion - it clearly shows the front right wheel on the yellow line at 300mph, in fact if you look closely it's actually below the line! Are we in agreement?


I'm glad we've got a new member after all this time, and I'm glad to see that, maybe, I've still 'got it' :)

You do realize, that by doing something I couldn't do about a month ago (granted, I didn't have my Universal Car Setup™ then), that I am going to have to one up you in your time of glory, eh DE? Good job on the speed though. :cheers:
 
Well, I did manage a whim over 300 with the NSX-R LM Roadcar...


Edit: I wouldn´t know if this car is classed as race- or roadcar, though, so I leave that to DE. It´s labeled as a roadcar, but since it doesn´t really exist, I´m not sure here.

:) Add the TVR to the list because i can do, it im not joking, you will have pic in a few hors (gotta plug PS2 in :( ) and i wanna play most wanted so i wont get pic for a while

Ooooh, am I angry now! :banghead: I´m trying to get the Dodge Viper SRT-10 over 300, and I´m so close I´m screaming here! 🤬 299.88 mph!!! I WILL make it!! Been at it for about three hours now, and it´s very, very frustrating! :ouch:
Will post a pic as soon as I have achived 300!

I did it! Seems like I will share bottom spot with DE...

Man that was hard! By far the toughest tuning I ever did! Imagine my frustration when I saw 299.97 as top speed... :D

Maric, I really do hate to burst your bubble but that car is on my leaderboard, and in Toronado's garage, well past 310. And the number of gears really is irrelevant... Chaparral 2D, anyone? Well done anyway.

Well, here we go again... I decided that my nice shiny new Pescarolo Peugoet 2003 needed to join this party, so I took it to the test track today with a mahoosive turbo and a little canister of laughing gas to see what happened. The gearing on this car is extremely strange, so that took a lot of messing around with, but after a while I hit a sweet spot and pulled off a 315mph run. After a little more tweaking, I pushed her a little further with a pleasing 320.45mph. I don't feel that she's at her limit yet though, and I might be able to catch Toronado with his 325.25 :)

Interesting that the 3.2 litre V6s of Toronado's and my Pescarolo are both 5mph clear of the 6 litre V10s of the newer models! :dopey:

Thought I'd attach some pictures as with the McLaren, first of all the proof -


This was shot at 315mph - she's showing a lot of 'Churchill Effect', but there's no wheelie there...


This side shot is at 320mph, just as she hits her peak. Again, the nose is quite high but it's well planted.


This was taken from the same camera as the previous shot, showing the front wheel almost glued to the tarmac at 320mph.

I have a 354mph replay. I will get pics of the wheels so its somewhat "verified"
But I can not do video- I just dont have the time or money at the moment

The only thing about wheel photos is that there's no way to include the speedometer on them, but here's an idea - in the normal replay playback mode, not in the Replay Theatre, you can freeze-frame the video with the Select button and the display stays up. If you can do this, showing the car at a decent angle, then photograph the screen that might be ok đź‘Ť

I don't think I could accept just a wheel photo from Photomode, though.

I'm downloading your video now FormulaGT, I'll edit this post again when I've watched it. For reference, I'd like all replays and photos to be in miles per hour - after all, this is the 300mph Club :lol:

EDIT2 - OK, now I've watched it - the run's legit! Well done. On-screen in the run (I know this is never accurate) it displayed 567.0kph, so I'll count it from that (that's what you get for not letting it go to the Session Record screen :p ). Converted, this is 352.33mph. Well done!

EDIT3 - Leaderboard Updated again.

Watching that video again FormulaGT, I noticed you use very unusual gear ratios - I think that's the first I've seen in the 300mph Club that doesn't use all of the gears! Well, credit to you for going so fast without using all the cogs :sly:

I have just bought a few of the LM cars. (thanks to b-bobing the NUR 24hr six times. OOohh 20 million is SOOO nice. Shame its gone now:nervous: )

Opendriver, you can only do it with a Maxdrive or something similar, normal USB drives won't do it... Hell, isn't it?

With the lotus none of the gears were maxed out...:crazy: shall i do it again and max them right out?

I messed with that one a while back I should have a crack at it again but its so annoying when its all souped up (hard to control, even those banked bends proved challenging for it). The latest one I'm working on is the LMR V12....I'm stuck at 297.9 mph. If anyone can get this car over the mark let me know, I'm pretty sure its possible, just difficult. I need to get started on the road cars, I'm thinking about trying it with my beloved M5 but I doubt it can do it. It can do 250 w/o nitrous though and most over the cars I got over the 300 limit w/ nitrous topped out at 250 w/o nitrous and w/o tinkering w/ the gears so we shall see.

How does it work?
is it USB or through the memory slot?
I have never seen or heard of one of these so dont go all nooby on me....
