Hi everyone, I got some chance playing PS2, and I use it fully for 300mph quest :).
R92CP color 1152 hp?, 340.070.

Team666, I can't get access to your setting (forgot to take it with me too) when I test this car, so I can't test the gear. But It seems lower final drive do behave like lighter flywheel, more spin at start. I did the test using wheely trick with 12/12 spring, 2.000 final drive and 70 nitro (maybe it's too short, I run out NOS before finish :ouch: ).

amazing...

maybe I should try doing the test with my colored R92CP, my black one lost so much hp due to the engine wear...

This is half an hour before

I get this when not using nitro (still have problem finding which button is NOS trigger :ouch:), and the front wheel lift all the time on 4/4 spring, also hit the fence few time because the car won't turn (R5/R5) :dopey:.

If your controller is in default setting, the Special button should be your NOS button, which is in default, the O button. Go to options and under Player 1, check which button your Special is. That should be the NOS button. Give it a try!

Good record w/o using NOS...I'm surprised.

Thanks, I already found it, I use it when I make 340mph. Thats half an hour before I can make 340mph.
Isn't airborne front wheel against the rule?

It just says that at no times must your wheels leave the track...which...Im not sure, you can take it both ways I gues...ask DarkElite for clarification :indiff: Do you know for sure that it became airborne?

When I use 4/4 spring rate, the car begin nodding at 200mph, the car nose is seen goes up and down (I drive from rear view), at higher speed the nose goes up more than down, and when I reach above 260 the nose keep goes up. I don't save the replay so I can't see it from the side.
Because of this I make the spring rate stiffer on my later attemp. On 12/12 spring rate the car nose is stable, when I watch the replay the car seem going smoothly. The acceleration seem not affected by stiffer spring rate.

So are you saying that setting it stiffer doesn't affect the record? Then go with it! You have the photos to prove it, so...*shrugz* it should be fine.

I am not sure, I don't try it again. I conclude it from the same speed before the last straight, which is around 270mph, just before I start using NOS. Seeing from the rule, because my speed is bellow 350mph, I think I don't need to proof it :) other than picture (no need for video). If I have to proof it I think I will post half of my setting (the part which I think can't be optimize more).

Yup, you should only post the picture. No video necssary. =)

Is both the R92CP and the Minolta going up, or only the Minolta?
They both already have, R92CP and 88C-V

Hi sucahyo, and a nice start here! That'll be on the leaderboard soon, the third fastest R92CP. Provided the actual speed you posted was on the ground? (I didn't really understand all of your post :dopey: ) *reads on*

You'd better believe it Opendriver ;)

That's odd, for me it was L1 default. I've never heard of it being anything else, except when I changed it to L2 :p

True, but if you're in doubt about it a video would be best. If you want to find out for sure, do a run and save the replay. Then, in Photomode watch the replay, and zoom in on the front wheels as you're at maximum acceleration and speed (aka the last point you had nitrous flowing). Take some photos and see if it's down or not. Here's a good example:

Cool!!

Thanks DarkElite!

Edit: another one of my record of 311.67mph in my R92CP wasn't up there! Oh well, I may be breaking that record anyway since I got the fully colored version of that car (my original was the black one) so I may go faster. I'll come back and report if I went any faster.

Thanks :D. From normal replay it seems so. Seeing that my front wheel at 306mph run seem flying, I use 12/12 spring just to prevent that from happening. The car seem running solid on the ground.

Thanks, I don't know that I can watch replay in photomode 👍. I will try that if I get the chance.

Hellu Sucahyo! Too bad you couldn´t find my settings and test out the gearing, but you seem to do just fine with your own theories, so I say, don´t bother using anyone elses settings, since your own way of tuning seem to work very well anyways. Wich surprises me, because a 12/12 spring is, as far as I know, unheard of in these situations, simply because a 4/4 seem better for top speed.
I know that you have great interest in the physics of GT, and 300 mph tuning is a great way to learn how you can "override" the normal physics, that usually apply to GT4. It is also a good way to learn how the tuning works, ie how the setup physics work in the game.

As for the replay, just push "select" button when watching the saved replay, found in the "replay theatre".

Cheers suchayo. Let me know what the Photomode replay shows up 👍

I think I know why it helps, though. I'm not about to spell it out, at least not until Dad gets back with my digital camera so I can take a video of a new, improved R8 speed :)
It seems pretty obvious now you mention it, suchayo... You've brought some new light onto my 300mph tuning already! ;)

dont want to pressure you or anything but if you get a MAX drive you can see replays froma bunch of other people that have it that want to show you their top speed without getting that whole capture card thingy. Im going to catch you tornado(that damn sauber speed)

You're probably right, but I don't think that'll be happening any time soon, sorry :guilty: We're not quite that official anyway... And only one or two of us actually use a capture card, it's not necessary to get a video that way.

Let us know how it goes, NurbFanatic 👍

In my opinion, that is blasphemy... But whatever you wish. :p

The code for that image isn't right, but I've got to it anyway... Not bad 👍

Lazy, Ghost  there's a couple, I think the only one you missed is 335mph in an R89c, credited to Opendriver ;)

Yeah, going to see if I can get 349ish with it. Also in the future im going to go for the lowest 300mph speed. Dont know if I can go lower than 300.03 though:nervous:

I use 12/12 because it has the same 1000m time as 4/4 (20/20 is slower). So I figure using it for max speed test wouldn't hurt.

Yes, I hope I can get the chance to play GT4 again soon.
Can I add member of 300mph club to my signature ?
