I presume you are going to use the wheelie trick,because there is no way in hell that you can make a car(in GT4) go 400mph and have all 4 wheels on the ground

We've been through this a hundered times, and I cannot delete it on the pure ground of him being an arse. However, once it is no longer the record holder it will be removed.

In fact, it's probably not even possible without a GameShark or cheat coder, even using the wheelie glitch

Here we go...

303.45mph in 1st gear, using the Chaparral 2D [video]

I'll point out that that's not my fastest Chaparral 2D speed (nor even my best 1st gear run), just a run I wen't upstairs now and recorded to demonstrate. I'll make a claim with the Chaparral just as soon as I beat 308mph. :)
 
I think that is very hard too believe Masterstorm,, For example: Were's your nitrous? Maybe I'm just being stupid and you can't put nitrous on the car.. But I was just wondering.. lemme know:)
 
nice speed MasterStorm! and for the Supra, try getting a 6.2mile edition, it should give you more power-output!

my project is on 299,5xmph, so damn close.....

He was going for the no NOS record, it speaks for its self really:sly:

Nice speeds MasterStorm:tup:, even if some are not legit, you should be able to build on and then perfect them. Take my Minolta, I started off using only 5 gears to get to 365. And suddenly, I thought I might go faster with 6. What do you know, it worked!:dunce:...

I wan't really going for the record. You can't put NOS on the Chaparral 2D. The reason I used it and not a car that takes NOS is because I think it's the only car where the gears can be set long enough to do 300 in first and not hit the rev limiter.

It was only the one claim which was not legit, and that I really could not tell from the replay, was thanks to Dark Elite's suggestion that it got caught, and for that I'm thankful. I don't want to hit the top with an invalid run.

I 'm up to 358.40 using 4 gears, or possibly 370.04 (using slightly differeing suspension settings), though I think it's lifting with the latter. :ouch:

Maybe I should try and get that 6.2 mile and shoot for the individual car record! Probably will take a few month's for it to appear second hand though... :grumpy:

I was only offering some encouragement:tup: & I did say some referring to the one speed and any possible speeds like it in the future:). Nothing wrong with honesty either:tup:

No problem! I think I know how I can help you gain an extra mph or two, but you may already have tried/applied it in your setup.

Thanks for the encouragement. 👍

Using less gears makes a car easier to tune as you have less gear interaction to worry about. You can then use the settings from you last gear or two, and shift them down into the higher gear spaces. (ie: copy your 3rd/4th gear to 5th/6th, and adjust the rest as necessary).

My pleasure, congratulations on getting a new car into the 300mph club too! 👍

Why the apology to GT4_Rule? I guess being new here I don't know all the stories and history yet.

Anyway, now I know what the car is, I might have a go myself. Theres several cars which only just touch 300 that I reckon can maybe do a touch better. I think I'm gonna work on the FTO Tourer soon.

If anyone else has any cars which are close to breaking the 300 barrier...

Fixed that quote thingy,, And no problem for seeing me on the board,, I believe I currently have two records.. But it has been a long while since you guys last heard from me.. My data was corrupted:grumpy: So I had to start all over again,, now I have two memory cards... And 900 or so cars:),, So expect something from me in the holidays DE:) (or not)

I've been trying to beat the Chaparral 2D record, but am stuck at 308.71mph (just 0.14mph off the record!). That said, my Chaparral has some 500miles on the clock now, so I may be losing 1 or 2 horsepower. I've got Bob B-Spec getting me a fresh one as we speak. :)

PM me your current setup, and I'll see if I can spot anywhere to improve it. I've not tried taking the car up to 300mph myself yet, but I may at least be able to help you over final hurdle. What speed are you at so far?
 
How can you get those crappy cars (RX-8 LM, FTO Touring) to 300mph???
I'm really crap at this, I need practise.
 
OK, I finally beat that top speed... currently 369.70mph

I took a few cell phone pictures, and saved the replay... I'll try to make a video of it later on. Till then, my goals are over 370mph =)

Who do I need to send pictures to?
 
For records over 350mph only video proof is accepted, to make sure that the cars wheels all stay on ground. Send it to the user Dark Elite, or post links in this thread.

If it's legit, then congratulations! May I ask with which car?

Did you read ALL of the rules??

1) use youtube
2)post the pic using imageshack

I think(wellDE didnt let me:() that you have to have a video that is like the one in my sig. Same format or it wil no be accepted
