242.39 in my Toyota Minolta
I finally got it over 316:)
i know the picture is big but my computer randomly sizes stuff like that

Ok I got 1 more MPH out of my GT one but I CANT GET IT TO GO ANY FASTER!!!
it satarts bounceing and the speed lowers on every bounce!!! I know i can get another 20 mph out of this thing but i slam into the barrier during the corner and that lowers my speed from 280 to 250 and AHH im frustrated. I took a picture of my suspention and tranny settings too so if you could look at them and give me some tuning suggestions Please
Thank you.

(Sorry for the bad quality my Canons screw'd up)

There's the speed

There's the tranny

Und there ist das suspention

Your front spring rate is harder than I would have set it. Not sure in that alone would cause you to hit the barrier though, it might just be that you are entering the corner too wide. Note that despite being one long curve, it's a little tighter at the entrance and exit, and this can throw you wide. If a softer suspension doesn't cure the problem, then you need more front downforce and softer front tyres (though you should already be a maximum or near maximum downforce). On a side note, if the car hits then the barrier the run is not valid for the 300mph club.

Your gearing looks OK, but it's not a car I've done much with due to it being somewhat slower in the PAL version, and thus unable to take the record. Anyway, if you're reaching 340mph then I don't think there's any major problems with the gear ratios.

Hope that helps! 👍

OK now im mad, I just took a clean run after tuning and screwing around with the suspention settings and got the car to hit 364!!!! BUT i cant find my video camera soo is there a way for me to take a video. Unles.... I can save the replay and use a flash drive to put it on my computer?? Or something along those lines. WELL heres the pic but I know it's worth noting without the video.

DE, my Skyline speed is listed on the board as 324.xx instead of 334.xx. Up to you if you want to change that though, as with any luck I'll be posting an updated speed later today (I broke 336mph in preliminary tests yesterday morning). :nervous:

Update:
I spent a good few hours working on the Skyline today, and managed to take the speed up another notch. As always with the Skyline, I'm anticipating a range of reactions from the Skyline Squadron.

I understand some of the more recent techniques for high speed in certain 4WD cars a lot better now, so I'm thinking of trying to raise my Tommy Kaira speed even further.

you're so crazy MStorm, i wish i was half genious like you in 300mph-tuning...............well done with the Skyline and i'm curious about the even higher TommyKaira speed 👍

Check out the first post of this thread. You will see that in the rules of the 300mph Club, wheelies are not allowed (look here if you want wheelie trick speeds). Additionally, speeds over 350mph require video proof (which is easy once the PS2 is connected to a computer, just as you intend to do). Speeds also need to be of the session record screen, and shown in MPH. I don't mean to sound harsh or aggressive, it's just that the 300mph club can be quite competitive for some of the regular high speed tuners, and so rules are needed to make sure that all members have the same chance when competing for records.

Raise the front downforce until the car doesn't wheelie and change your game display to MPH; then you'll be a legitimate 300mph club member (You won't lose 50 odd mph from doing this). Looking forward to seeing what you can come up with! 👍

Thank you. Never knew that. I'll have to try harder. :)

:scared:   you've passed my original 300mph GT-R speed with 40mph?! I knew that the car had more left when I finally let it go from my twitching hands, but full 40mph more..? at this rate, we'll see 350mph GT-R before GT5 comes out.. :trouble: :O :D

Hey guys, it feels good to be back!

Wow O.o Skyline at 340mph!? This is just insane. Pure insanity. Holy crawp!

You guys are just crazy, man!

Keep it up

...and i'm curious about the even higher TommyKaira speed 👍
Work on the Tommy Kaira went a little better than expected, but I'm waiting on a private response from DE before I announce the new speed.

He doesn't seem to have been online in the last few days though. :nervous:

Sorry about my lack of response to the thread, I have indeed been extremely busy - and I've just returned from a two-day expedition, during which I walked 32 kilometres with a 20kg pack on my back.. Evil. Anyway, I should be able to walk without wincing as I crush blisters soon
I'll get the Leaderboard updated as soon as possible, which will probably be Friday night. Nice to see a lot of new speeds, and some very good competition going!
