Just watched @Dolph Drago lap and noticed that the brake bar is completely empty, when I was running laps yesterday and the night before mine was showing a very small white bar which I thought was normal, maybe my controller is broken then and that's why I couldn't get back in the 49s 🤷🏻‍♂️ I hope not because out of my two controllers this is (was) my only good one 😬

Will have to have a look at this, really want to get back in that top 200.

Though I have mentioned many times that force feedback settings affect motion steering, I hope brake calibration settings don't affect the triggers when using it because I have taken the deadzone off the brakes via the g29 settings 🤔 guess I'm going to be doing some playing around with settings tomorrow then.

Not normal at all. The brakes are catching. It is definitely a controller / dead zone issue.

Damn it 😂

I have seen a few people mention this issue recently, could it be a bug on some systems with the recent update 🤔

I noticed it when I was lapping but thought I've just not paid that much attention before, but watching that replay just made it stand out 😕

It could be a a bug if multiple people have this issue.

It should be a quick fix by setting the dead zone a little higher in the brake calibration. However, I am uncertain as to whether these dead zones apply to the Ds4/Dualsense triggers. I have never calibrated the controller in these settings.

I've never thought about the wheel settings affecting the controller until I found out they affect motion steering, that's why I'm now thinking the pedal calibration deadzones might too.

If that's the case, then I have had this issue for a long time and not noticed it until now 😂

So does that mean we are just witnessing the birth of a new alien in real time? 🤣

Holy Guacamole....

I was sure it would happen soon or late, that's an impressive score (for me, an average one for you).
Bravo mon pote !!

we still remain friends ...???🥰🥰🤣🤣

Dunno yet, my heart is completely broken and I'll need lot of time to recover and heal from this painful situation....

I just popped on for a minute with my other controller just to see what I have on the brake bar, this is what I have on the brake and accelerator bars, is that normal?

I watched my PB replay and it it doesn't have any little white bars at all, so not sure if just replays don't show it, anyone be kind enough to check theirs for me please 🤗

Not normal.

Mines looks like this with zero input

Thank you.

I'm going to have to change my deadzone settings with the wheel plugged in tomorrow then because both have zero deadzone since I started the AMG VC 😬
This should be your best bet.
It should work in resetting the deadzones.

If I hold my accelerator to a point as shown in your image, the car moves slightly forward, but in your instance there is an equal amount of brake being applied.

Hi,

@Jeje6410...

Thank you for uploading that video. At the 1 minute and 40 seconds mark - give or take the nearest metre or millisecond, depending on your persuasion, is exactly where it all goes splat, poop, bish-bash-bosh for me! I am wayyy too far "in". I should be wayyyy further "out"!!! I simply cannot believe I have missed that in my countless attempts.

@Pesselles...

Watch this space! Please re-package the "fighting spirit" and return it as soon as you can! Thankyou. :)

@ My Wife...

"You know I said I would take you out for dinner this evening? Something has cropped up! Is a Chinese takeaway OK dear?"

Yikes!

Best regards to all here.

Ian.

Well everyone seems to be having so much fun at the Dragon that I thought I'd jump back on, did about 8 laps and got progressively worse, then took a break and studied some replays from you guys and pinpointed a couple of areas I was doing it wrong and had simply got into the habit of doing the same thing over and over... so I went back out and after a few laps chipped in a 1:50.080 and then on the next lap improved again by 3 tenths only to hit the penultimate kerb the wrong way and off I went into the hedge 😭

So @Ian JB I'm afraid I did return and now I pass the gauntlet back to you 😎

Also got acquainted some more with the Aston Martin @ Interlagos and after several laps of grass-tracking and facing the wrong way I registered a time of 1:27.726. This is another fun TT so I'll be returning to this one.

All in all a good week, so long as no one gets alien-like with the Lake Louise combo

I had a poor corner to start sector 2 which hurt a touch. But sector 1 wasn't too bad, and I finally got a good exit off the final turn. It was only a tenth of second pickup overall, but it's difficult to gain time here so I'll take it.

Edit: Also, @crome, is the plugin still not working or is it my computer? It very well could be my computer. This one is on its last legs.

Edit 2: Many hours later I realize I post the wrong screenshot...

It is working in general, although I can imagine why it would not work for some people. Could I ask those of you who use it to vote with a "like" or "sad" emoji under this post, depending on whether it's working for you, so that I can gauge how widespread the problem is? I might send you a DM later. Thank you!

Sorry I'm a little stupid maybe, but what are plugins ?
View attachment 1401349
Technically the term plug-in is not correct, they're user scripts. Provided that you have installed an appropriate browser extension, these user scripts can enhance the functionality of a website by running code inside your browser. The links you marked walk you through both the installation of the browser extension and the user script itself, it's pretty straight-forward.

For example, the "GTPlanet TT Assistant" that we are currently talking about is activated every time you visit a page of this time trial thread, checks which users have posted on this page, then calls a backend service (on my own server) to get those users' current time trial results and displays them under their avatar, like so:

However, now might not be the best time to check it out given that, after my switch to another internet provider last week it seems to have stopped working for pretty much everyone except me 🤣

I have a plan already though, it could just take a few days to implement it.

Stay tuned ;)

BTW my other plug-in "GT7 TT Statistics" is unaffected by this.

So... My wheel still shows the little bars for the brake and accelerator even when I adjust the pedal dead zones

1000015131.jpg

But thought lets just go for it seens as @Pesselles told me not to, yes I saw that 😉

1000015092.jpg

So I did a thing
1000015132.jpg

Still wasn’t happy being in 206th place with this... so I carried on....
1000015133.jpg

Didn't improve but became more consistent... Look at that optimal 😱

So went again and well...
1000015134.jpg

1000015135.jpg

Happy now 😁 except for one thing....

@Gomario JSP do not try again 🤣
1000015136.jpg

What can I say, I always do best with slidey cars 😁

I would keep going to try to get an alien time but I really need to get ready for the AMG VC 😅
