Yes!!! Proper TTs with proper cars and proper tracks, and there's 4 of them!!

This is almost the perfect mix of TTs for me, I like them all with a slight caveat on Suzuka, wonderfullly technical track but just a bit of a chew for me, and I agree with @Gomario JSP the GT3 cars feel heavy round there (although I did go fromthe Porsche at Monza straight to Suzuka so the impression of speed and agility was probably more pronounced. Looking forward to pushing in some of these after my hiatus with some of the more recent TTs

Great session in the 956 tonight… 35 laps in total and almost called it a day at 30 laps after picking up 6 tenths from this morning, but then gave it another quick go (just too much fun), and found another tenth. Early days, but 44th is quite exciting!!

Man you're quick at Monza!!

I have a love and hate relationship with this track. I genuinely think that the second chicanes and the two lesmos are my worst turns in the whole game 😆

I just get terrified before attacking the chicanes.
Currently about 1 second slower than you. Any advice?

I have until Tuesday to win gold in the four TTs currently underway... so far, I'm at three out of four...

I still have Suzuka left, where I'm in silver with the M6... at 2'01.504... ouch, I need to find at least a second...🤔🤔

For Monza, I have to thank the French:

Pesselles for recording a video,
Jéjé6410 for pointing it out yesterday,
and Lomic for explaining how to use it as a ghost...

and for once, I understood everything... 😂😂
it helped me a lot...

I don't know if it will be enough to stay in ‘gold’ during my holidays, but I'm going to focus on Suzuka first and see if I can improve at Monza and Lago Maggiore with the NSX.....before I leave....

Hi folks!

Fresh from the high of taming the wild Corvette at Laguna Seca, I’ve been brutally humbled by the two ‘official’ time trials. The Honda is fun, but I can’t help but feel that Racing Soft tyres would make it better as grip levels are just a bit unpredictable, I’ve set a time but getting into world top 100 feels nigh on impossible here

As for Monza… yeeesh. Considering my history it feels weird to say I don’t like two high downforce trials simultaneously but here we are! The 962C might be a classic but it just feels like an understeery lump, throw in completely inconsistent sausage riding (ahem); Variante Ascari exit sausage for example, how K De Bruin gets through there without being yeeted I do not know. Saying that, my current PB was set by seemingly hitting it but I did lift.. I don’t know how that’d make a difference but that’s the joy of the GT7 physics randomiser! Aaand track limits we could talk for days about them..

But yeah a time has been set, had it been sub 1:25 I probably wouldn’t have returned but that time is tantalisingly close!

Anyways off to work for the weekend, see yall midweek next week!

Brake early, get on the gas early!

Is the second gear even useful in the Clio time trial? It seems too short for anything above 80 km/h and i had better results just using third gear in the corner exits
Second gear is useful but only in 2 corners - the left hander after the third sector line and the second last corner.

Is there anyone here that agrees with me that Sardegna is the best track in the game?

I know it's street circuit style, but it's got everything I personally love (the 90 degree style corners rather than the long ones) and the barriers aren't completely in your face, they're just there to act as a deterrent rather than there to completely ruin your day like Monaco etc. I really love this circuit.

I suppose I also love Baku in the F1 games so maybe I have a Naz meta but credit to PD for creating this!

Had a quick go at Suzuka last night - used the 911 with some romantic notion of ‘racing for the same team’ in both events. Unfortunately it’s a bit lethal and not fast enough.

Switched it up a little and avoided the meta cars (for now) and tried the WRX - still a bit lethal but in a different way, and a lot faster….

Morning folks,

Started with the Porsche 962 this morning, if it only could take some more curb it would be a very pleasant TT, but for me there is only one corner that works with this car..Ascari.
First chicane is just annoying, I can only eat the first sausage, no matter what I do I just can't eat the second one what compromises the exit speed hugely, sharpened the PB a bit but can't imagine going back, case closed.

Then of to Suzuka again, against the odds i grew a little on me, thought it would be the other way around with Monza.

Didn't try any other cars so commited to the yacht... or M6...
Once your brain understands that it's not a yeeetable car and you start to work with its weight it's very drivable.
I just wanted to go to fast, so step back and focus on weighttransfer seemed to work well.

Not a world lap but it was surprisingly more fun than I had expected.

Dunlop is the most fun part if you ask me ,up in 4th and just full turbo your way up to Degner.

Made a few faults on the PB lap, had a descent S1 but my exit out of the hairpin wasnt the best, and i think i shredded the two rears to the canvas exiting Spoon.

And seeing the split before 130R made me a little cautious so the chicane was a bit save

Added the Ghost lap after the normal lap, very clear to see that exits are not my strongest point, Ghost is Chafe at 0.3 with reset

Ran some stints last night. Initially I struggled to get into gold with the older GT500 cars (R34, NSX, Supra), as they seem to lack aero for the faster turns and were an understeering mess both on pad and wheel. Switched to the BRZ and instantly lost a full second. Then tried the M6 and lost another few tenths.

The 962 C is a charm to drive. Was expecting a better lap time though and need to work on less braking and sooner on throttle. I coast too much.

@Jeje6410 great Suzuka lap time. I see you nibbled some of Naz's and Marcus' HP sauce... 😅
