Glad to be of help and congrats on your 37! Wasn't sure if I was in a position to even give any tips at all, as I'm not the quickest here

My advice was motivated by wondering how can he be so fast on the first half and lose so much in the last part...
Watching your video actually gave me some pointers for the first sectors where I'm a bit slow, helping me lose that half second last night.

I was 6 days abroad with work, managed to put few laps in Ring, say only 5-6 valid ones , you know how it is. I am waiting to see statistics from legend @half_sourly but what I am interested is how much of people are inside 1.5% of gold, I know it is not Olympic TT, just thinking if it was, I think we would only have @djolliea being inside 1.5% so it seems tough one for many. I maybe find some time for weekend to put some laps into Ring, life got busy

For me personally it's not doable within the timeframe... maby if i keep hamering on it i'll eventuelly could get there cause there is so much time to gain or to loose, if you look at the first to sector alone, if you are a bit off on the first "s" es you can easly hit 48.4...
but when you flow it the right way you can hit 47.8 ( my fastest tho ) that's more than half a second on the first sector....
and it has A LOT of sectors :lol:

Fun but difficult challenge, good luck lapping with the Porsche mate

This is something i ask myself a lot , cars often are well balanced on TT's, and more fun to drive compared to my garage ones, but i think there is no way to actually extract that data after the TT is done?.... @half_sourly ?

You wouldn't be able to replicate it because you are likely to not have same time of day or, more importantly, wind conditions in a self-made time trial.

Not sure what you mean. The only data that I know of that is available is that for the TTs; things like time trials at circuits (whatever the game calls those) and circuit experience I don't think is available.

haha, I do not think I can reach 1.5% time should be 7:36 flat and on motion control I am constantly making small mistakes and on such a long lap mistakes pile up to few seconds. I was constantly overdriving it but starting to get grip over it. Yes I agree it is as you say, sector times can vary alot, small overshooting in only one corner , half a second gone

I see. No, settings are not accessible. I guess you'd have to go into a live TT and open the settings page to take pictures, then replicate them afterward.

Great time for my PS4 to decide to **** the bed. :banghead:

Tried to turn it on late last night to see if I could grab a gold at Brands Hatch and I get nothing but a black screen. Did all the usuals and tried again this morning. Same thing. Noooo.... Need to get back to the Nordschliefe and convert that bronze to a silver!!!

Gives me a lot less corners to stuff up

but indeed, let's be honest, the Ring is just a phenomenal and insane road/track/toll-thing, and when you look at that image it realy shows it size...
But man, what a joy if you stuff up the last corner at Tsukuba and still be there again in about 1:12.... :lol:

i live a few years less now due to the invalidations i did at 7:30.xxx on the ring past days.... :lol:

I figured I should try Brands Hatch again before it closed. I've ignored it since Nurburgring TT came out and was barely in the gold time. Was getting down towards 1:45 and then ran out of time. I should have put more time into it, just started getting the hang of the car and track before it closed.
That was on wheel and VR.

Then I checked the new TT out and did a quick few laps on flat screen with DualSense and auto transmission.
Very early.. That time is like 1.99% and 744th now. Who knows if that'll even end up being a gold time. 🤷‍♂️
I'll have to try it out with wheel and VR soon. Seems like getting into the 1:11s would be possible with a wheel for me.
