I made this video of High Speed Ring CE a while back. Maybe it will help? The line in the first real corner was a new one to me... maybe I'd been driving High Speed Ring wrong since 1997!

Edit - this is before anyone convinced me to actual talk over the lap so it's just a straight replay of a Gold Lap (physics may have changed things a bit since I don't know...)

Hej Blayney,

thank you very much for your effort and support! The line through first corner is in deed completely different but I guess that I lose a lot of time in the 'S' after the bridge. Your video definitively helped me already. So, bring it on!

Hanging it up at Spa. I did manage some decent improvement on my PB by about 0.4 seconds on this last day (sober) but even my optimal lap was 0.5 off the Gold time. So I will accept my Silver and prepare for the HSR.

I've had quite a lot of practice at the HSR in the past. It was one of my test tracks I used to tune in GT4 and GT5. I just finished the CE there and beat the demonstration time by a small margin, so hopefully Gold on the first day!

Guys you are all blazing fast.
Tried for the first time ever a TT in GT this morning and have to tell you that I'm starting appreciating...maybe getting older means mixing races with TT? don't know but my bald head speaks for itself :P
I'll be back in the next days, but I don't have enough patience, got to improve in that :D

Rain in the game is just as depressing as it is in real life. Miraculously I’m somehow lowering my average TT position with a 2’38.737 which is 312th as of writing. As I consider myself an absolute joke of a driver in the rain I’m satisfied with that.

Took 9 laps to get me into silver at Spa.
Nice, I thought it would take longer than that.
Spent a dozen more laps there with no real improvement.

Not going to break my fingers over this as chance of finding 3 seconds there are close to 0.
Hoping for no movement at the top.

Come join the community here and you'll be addicted to these TT's in time

After the only 6 or so laps that I put in to gauge the TT, I did not have the time to try and improve at Spa for gold due to traveling and such so if the time don't improve guess it will be a silver for me on this one. The wife will be away this weekend so I will try to take a stab at the BMB TT and whatever else will replaces Spa.

Yeah, I've been busy taking care of my family too, so I was only able to get bronze on the Spa TT, but that's okay. Family comes first. Hope you and your wife are doing okay and are healthy. I'm gonna work on some more of the BMB Viper TT this weekend, hopefully I'll have some extra free time.

Piacere, I know your Qualifying Times in daily races. So there is no patience needed to pulverize my lap times... 😁

The starting point of this new TT is slightly annoying - you're close enough to the last corner that you can't quite build up enough exit speed out of it, and you don't get to max speed by the line. So lap 1 is never going to be your optimum lap as you lose a tenth on the run to turn 2 every time.

Great, that’s all we need.. our resident alien in hiding returning and bringing upgraded hardware just to keep us all on our toes!! Enjoy the PS5, I absolutely love mine it’s a real worthy upgrade. GT7 is absolutely beautiful anyway and the next gen console really makes the most of it!
🤣🤣, but maby it takes some time to get used to the Dualsense? 🤣, back on sunday, maby buying and instelling Monday if I'm lucky..... than migrating etc so prob in the best possible way I could start on Monday 🤣, 2 days to gold the Viper on the new setup then, or just gold it on ps4 and then switch to be save 🤣🤣

I have also no idea how long migrating takes and what I should or should not transfer... to be fair I only play GT7 now so it's realy all about that 🤣
If I download same version of GT7 for PS5 from the store I think it should recognise my cloud save from Ps4 right?,

And then when I'm all settled I'm coming for you times mate, 🤣🤣

Those are not the numbers of the devil 😈😈 that appeared to me but a sequence of numbers that leaves me laughing 0'55'555 (with optimal time at 0'55'516) the new TT in High Speed Ring 🤣🤣🤣

Congrats, that's a very good time here!
And maybe I'm wrong, but as I remember, "5" is a lucky number in many asian countries :)

Blue Moon also sets you up slightly off the racing line (too close to the left). It still beats the Grand Valley run in where you are 30 seconds away from the start line

Here are some statistics for TT36 at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in the Gran Turismo Red Bull X2014 Junior.

Highlights:
  • Participation was lower than recent TTs; not surprising given how difficult it was.
  • This was a difficult TT by most metrics, with only 3.6% of drivers getting gold, silver below average and those with no reward above average. The proportion within 1% of #1 is on par with the most difficult TT yet, Nürburgring | Nordschleife in the tuned NSX.

@half_sourly: as always many thanks for the aftermath! Congrats to those (few) with gold! It feels good to see that I'm not alone having trouble with these 2 TTs. Looking at my average results I am still improving...

(for completation, I am usually faster with the wheel but do also use the Dualsense controller.)
