Hello there!

I'm afraid Laguna Seca is where my gold streak ends. 😔

I love this car, I hate the track, and also I disagree big time with the decision of putting racing tyres instead of the sport ones.

I just can't drive the car fast enough. I find no grip (odd thing to say about racing rubber), no lines and it seems my biggest problem is that I can't hit the throtlle as early as I should be.

1:28:9 it's all I could clock in my first (and long) session. Don't have the motivation to keep driving there.

Similar to one of the recent posters - I’m far from great at these Time Trials, with one non-freebie gold to my name so far at Deep Forest a while back

For some reason these last two TTs have felt really achieveable for me. The Deep Forest reverse in the Delorean I set a silver time immediately and then spent a few hours before finally getting a gold time that should be fine (3 tenths under)

Willow Springs is a track I don’t really feel comfortable at but I liked the Alfa and managed to scrape a silver time after a lot of effort. I didn’t think this would stick, so I went on it to improve it and managed to beat it quite easily once I figured out the last corner, so well that I knew a gold was doable again - and after a lot of runs I finally did it!

Two golds in a row, more than happy with that!

Unfortunately the Laguna Seca TT looks to have me beat. I’ve put a lot of time into it and have finally scraped a silver time but I doubt it’ll stay that way. Gold seems unreachable, I can’t seem to carry the same speed as others after any turn…

For the ones who have trouble getting gold on seca,

Most important thing on this combo if you ask me... if you can't floor it.....don't.. 😁
Coast and make friends with 4th gear
Even after the corckscrew...4th is a good friend.
be extra gentle on the throttle, better to have a better exit than hard in, so trailbrake ....coast....higher gear and slowly throttle up 😁

Funny, I went out today and drove behind another shelby 🤣

After another 10 clean laps doing 1:29s I give up. 1:29.0, I just cannot find the spot for those 0,7 secs, I tried TC2 but it makes me slower because I kick the gas earlier
You can throw on your lap here and maby we can give some advice, and are you chasing a ghost?, TCS is by all means not necessary for reacting gold, ran my lap without all assist on the pad exept ABS weak 😁

Thanks for your support @Gomario JSP, always I follow best ghost or @Tidgney’s because I like his lines and simplicity with a 0,2 secs difference

I’ve tried ABS and really don’t feel difference.

This car is quite the handful. With that said, I found some corners much easier with it than the others we've run here previously. The Corkscrew in particular has been much more stable, along with that horrid quick left hander before the hill leading to it (the track limits are horrendous there, though - if your right rear even touches a grain of sand or gravel, the lap is invalidated). I'm guessing it's down to the racing tires. Oddly, I'm struggling a lot more with the second to last corner than with this thing than the previous cars here. Either sideways or pushing straight into the gravel. There is no in between. :irked:

Got the gold. Combo is surprisingly fun. Hitting apexes is insanely hard for me though. A 27 is definitely in the cards for me, I just don't know how long it will take until T2, T3, T4 and T5 finally click for me. Hardly ever get them right. Did I count that right? With T5 I mean the weird left hander through the dip before the corkscrew.

Good evening. First go with the new TT having been off the console this week. Based on my first couple laps I was thinking I might end up with a silver on this. I spent more time over rotating and crashing into the pit wall before I even got to the line than I did completing laps.

Then I started to figure this car out. It requires a general touch and you have to caress it through the corners. It also likes you to go down and stay low….. In the gears I mean :D Oh ah.

Then I surprised myself.

The joke is that driving this down in the revs feels slow, but it’s fast. 😁

GT7 | Leguna Seca Mustang Time Trial | Gold run

I feel a 27 should be possible.

I am normally of the gold and done crew but I kind of fell in love with the Mustang. To me it seems like you need to be kind of gentle to it, literally like a wild mustang that needs to be tamed.

And gentle I was. Finally hit my goal of a 27. If the stars align a 27.5 could be possible I guess but that would take me hundreds of kilometers. I am satisfied as is.

I found this cool livery via the livery search.

Only when watching the replay did I see the Need for Speed Most Wanted number plate. I am pretty sure that I played this game eons ago.

(Please ignore the missed apex 🫣)

Somebody even built it in real life.

Hey everyone… not much time for lapping these days. Work feels like it’s busier than ever, and my kitchen renovation still isn’t finished. However, early Saturday & Sunday mornings are still reserved for some time trialing, even if it’s only 45 mins while the family is asleep.

Task #1 - get under 1:48 at Deep Forest - mission accomplished. Absolute optimal splits for the entire event was 1:47.833 and I’ve come pretty close to that so considering this done!

Task #2 - grab some time in the Mustang. It’s quite the menace, but I think the RH tires are a good match for this and allow you to attack a little, without being scared that there’s a slight breeze on the throttle in the next town that might create excessive wheel spin and spit you off into the nearest wall! Track limits are a pain here though. Still getting the hang of it, but lots of fun…will keep running this one when I get the chance, with a goal of 1:27.250.

well I think I've about had enough of trying to get this tank around the course any faster. I can run laps all day long within half a second of my PB but anything I do to try and go any faster just ends up with me off the track - often completely un-expectedly. Its infuriating to take a corner in what feels like perfect comfort thinking you're about to gain some big time only to lightly touch the throttle and find the rear tires are apparently no longer in contact with the road surface. On Saturday I felt like I was going to hit gold without too much trouble, but instead I hit a solid wall and haven't improved since..after a lot of laps! Looks like it's silver for me on this one.
