First throw at a top 100... such few corners....so much inconsistency...
You should have been here when Jeddah/Ebrahim randomly rocked up 🤣Naif is RELENTLESSY fast
Bloody hell Dan 😲Alright fellas!!
Well, I wasn’t going to even attempt the World Series TT but given the meta is one of my favourite Gr3 cars I thought I’d just drop in and see if it was fun. I don’t really like Tokyo, I don’t really like walls… but on Racing Soft tyres I hit the wall more on turn in than I do on exit so at least it’s not complete understeer city!
I’ll upload a replay in VR for a POV following the (at the time) WR ghost. It’s actually a lot of fun, I love the Supra!

I can only use the labels they give me, my alts are both Aofficially you're a B driver
Yeah, I can’t dodge this one and it’s true. But I can explain it a little. I set my QT/TT times through the day and I do my racing of an evening…and I drink more that you should and more than you should. The definition of functional when drunk (not functional drunk!!)YOu are within 2% on the first day and I am guessing a few laps of each TT without fail
Honestly is just letting the wheel do its thing, thinking the car is gonna shift or reading the camera queuesWith RWD road cars I know what the issue is, I am not able to control the weight shifting as well as the better drivers
Don’t drive so hard, if you are 1 sec in gold already it’s just a clean lap you need.Which brings us to Tokyo, this is quite the ride and far more fun that expected, especially the final sequence which is really butthole clenching stuff. I am a tenth of gold right now but was on a lap that ended a full second under the gold time but JUUUUUUUUUUUUST shaved the wall on the 2nd last corner so lost the lap. This will be gold, just gotta get it all together.

And in VR FPV (whoops I missed a wall kiss, at the start there, just skip through that if anyone wants to watch an actual lap lol)
EDIT: quick go at Alsace, so close to a 51.xxx! I probably won’t have time to improve before the trial ends as I go on holiday tomorrow so that might be it 😊

Don’t focus on the noises or anything just flow the lines. It’s easy to run the gold pace I promise, don’t over brake the wider corners, brake hard for the hairpinsYeah ran a 57.6, that outta do it for Tokyo, a surprisingly engaging TT. Ran a 10th slower in the BMW but I really dislike driving cars with such muted engine notes.
A few things here. The RSR is not going to cut it, you need to be in the Supra or the M6 Sprint, maybe the Lexus if you're struggling for pace.Just for fun I also tried to RSR with the wheel, managed to shave off almost 5 seconds from my controller time:

Current silver is ~2.32 seconds away, not sure I have that in me. I will certainly try some more and maybe try other cars, plus I haven't even watched @Tidgney's guide (but thanks for the 370Z tips!), so there may be some improvement possibility!
One thing I have to revisit though is the Alpine VGT at Catalunya, silver is still ~1 second away...
I did the same and back with a wheel I am 0,1 away from gold, for the moment... Don't see myself returning with the Fairlady, so it will be a very safe silver.Managed to do a wheel session with the 370Z and the RSR. As expected - although at some point I was ready to give up -, with the wheel I reached silver (for now) on Alsace. Not sure how long it lives but hope dies last. Optimum is 53.99 but I'm happy with this:

I am heading in the opposite direction. I spent the last 30 years driving a range of reliable family cars culminating in a beloved Subaru Liberty (Legacy). I just upgraded to a new Giulia. The joy it gives me suggests it’s my gateway to increasingly impractical performance monsters.Such is the life of a family man. I owned a 1969 Giulia Coupe when single, had to sell it when family arrived. 15 years later with kids aged 11 and 7 went with a 911 as it has 2+2 for the little blokes.
That’s pretty quick to be fair….My optimal is 3 milliseconds faster and I'm not even sure how I found myself here. I felt like I was doing the same thing until one lap I was magically up 0.135 up on my best... So I'll take it!

We are always very close in times and the type of ones we are good at and struggle with. In the end I managed to gold the Alpine and Tokyo so I reakon you could get there as you tend to match me to a tenth. 370Z is another story......Last time out, I barely managed to gold the NSX at Autopolis, and silver the C5 at Dragon Trail Seaside (like the car, like the track, didn't like the combo).
Having a pretty rough go at it with the newer batch of TTs, but managed a trio of silvers.
Catalunya: Alpine VGT - 1:31.528 I'm just... slow
Alsace: Z34 - 0:53.775 Curse you, awkward tight downhill left! /shakefist
Tokyo Expressway: NSX Gr.3 - 1:59.370 Curse you, walls! /shakefist
