I think that applies to a lot of us at the moment. Summer's here so we want to get out and about and honestly, GT7 is getting a bit stale.. I still love it, but come on, it needs an update and some new content. Otherwise, I may as well try Forza :confused:
Maby that has something to do with it indeed, suns out...
Plus, I cleared the game ages ago, have no cars left to buy and don't do daily races, so I'm only running timetrials and occassionaly ill take out some garagecars for some laps around the Nordschleife or something.
So icould use something new indeed 🤣
Luckly a few weeks left then 3 weeks France vacation.....detoxing from gt7 🤣

I'm not a big fan of this combo 😂

A few things here. The RSR is not going to cut it, you need to be in the Supra or the M6 Sprint, maybe the Lexus if you're struggling for pace.

Without being harsh, at 2.02 you're leaving a lot of easy time on the table, watch Tidge's guide and you should be under 2 mins pretty fast. After that it gets tougher but a sub 2 should come quite easily. No more than TC1 or you get hammered on the exits and carry that all the way down the long full throttle sections.
Thanks for the encouragement (although I would have tried anyway :) ), I did try the TT with the Supra and the M6 Sprint. At one point it looked I could do a very low 1:59 or a high 1:58.9 but I messed up the essess at the end (that was with the M6). Alas, this is it for now, silver reached, I believe it may stand but at least I know I have the potential to further improve. Gold is far but I graduated from a barely bronze to a barely silver in the last like 5-6 TTs, so my goal is to reach silver as many times as possible.

This yearning for reaching silver... I was very close to give up this with the Alpine VGT at Catalunya. I managed to improve to 1:31.86 or so, could feel the taste but also felt that it wasn't going to happen. After some further desperate ties I did slip into the silver range, so please-please stop improving the gold time!!! :D (My optimum is now 1:31.014 but I really don't want to get into it...)

As such, all 3 current TTs are on provisional silver, fingers crossed they stay that way! 🫰🫰🫰

Improved a bit at Alsace, into the top 600 (for now). It's a little frustrating, I can see where those tenths of time are, but getting the Fairlady to do as it's told is a challenge, but I'm still enjoying it, the final curved corner is deceptive, it eats time if youre positioning for the lift is off and timing for acceleration is proving inconsistent for me, the short laps are kinda welcome though.

It felt to me that I had hit the ceiling for the Alsace TT. I then on loop kept seeing the fastest lap time set by holl01. I wanted to see what he's doing that I wasn't. Kept seeing to understand the apex speeds, gear shifts & racing lines. I was mainly struggling in the deep down hill slow right hander & the long right hander before the finish line.

After a few runs myself, I was able to shave off 3 tenths to just be shy of the 52 second bracket with a PB of 1:53:001. Will try again as I feel I can give some more to my PB getting lowered.

A handful of laps trying out the Lexus this time, got me to cut almost a second and a half off my Bimmer time. Weird because it didn't feel as planted as the Bimmer.

I did my first laps at Tokyo at all and it is as difficult and also as joyful as I expected. Never used the bimmer before but it is nice. The Lexus is often a good choice and I did like the Lambo despite a lot of understeer. In other words: it is a lot of fun and something I will go for again and again... Even gold might be possible. Happy lapping everyone!

Today gave the Alsace TT another shot as was positive I could lower my PB.

Yesterday had managed 53:001 but today after 30 laps, I was only able to shave off 1 thousandth to have a flat 53:000 as my PB. I didn't give up as I knew I wasn't nailing the lap entirely in the long right hander.

Finally on the 63rd lap, I was able to nail that turn & lower my PB to 52:842 which felt more of a relief than joy. It's not a hard route to master but the Sports tyres really make You grind hard to make You earn the PB.

Cause of the new PB, my ranking got cut in half as I was 3000th+ in ranking otherwise. A very satisfying day for an amateur such as myself.

P.S. - One thing that's astonishing. When I lowered my PB to 53:000, my Optimal Lap was 52:842 which eventually became my PB to the thousandth....that's a shocker!

Hello again fellas,

I have some days off and unfortunately we had to cancel our journey. That means on the other side more free time and less stress - and more postings here...

I went back to Alsace because I have a weak spot for Fairladies. Similar to @Uday9479 I could improve my best lap and sit in save golden territory with a 53.0X. That was a nice surprise but didn't change the big picture of my friends board... Adding you didn't help, @bigfluffy888 ! 😉

At the moment it looks like this and it is obvious what to do. (Praying that the Alpine stays golden...)

Is there a reason why we cannot use the Jaaaaaag? I've got a second one in the Roulette and wanted to give it a nice time trial livery but now I have to paint the M6 instead...

Thanks for reading and I am afraid there will be more during this week... Sorry and good night!

It’s mirroring the upcoming GTWS London event, hence the limited selection in cars.

I’d guess the Jag has a BoP advantage on this track which will be why they removed it
No, it's the representative cars of the 12 finalist brands in the GTWS event at London this weekend, just like the post above yours says.

It's the same combination for the Time Trial/Daily Race and both of these pieces of information are in my articles.

Yes I understand that - it’s the why I was opining on. As in, why isn’t it on the list of cars for the GTWS event?
Jaguar didn't qualify from the six-round online qualification held a few weeks ago.

Now I understand - thank you.

This is one of the harder time trial challenges for me. It's difficult to be precise and keep the car off the walls when you're on a controller. Confidence is the most important thing because the more of it you have, the faster you can go. Learning the ideal lines and braking points is crucial when there's such a tiny margin for error.

Improved slightly again at Alsace, still losing time over the crest of the hill to the aliens, can't seem to make the corner without understeering slightly off line, making the left hander at the bottom of the hill tricky to take flat out without hitting the inside barrier or running wide on exit.

It might be my imagination, but it feels like on the controller, I can't turn the car as much in Turn 4 or in Turn 5 (the big right curve); it just won't seem to grip in the same way as the top ghosts do. Lots of fun though.

Yeah, played 8 days in May and offline from PlayStation since 10th of May.... so 25 days so far, I guess I will join to do some laps on weekend... probably with target "gold and go" :)

Well... what to say about this one? Quite frustrating, to be honest. Took me longer than I was hoping, roughly 600kms...! So it was quite a challenge to put together a nice lap. Had great amount of failures in the final corner (sometimes it’s like it refused to turn) mostly at first when starting the lap, T2 (kept losing it on exit) and “TV3” section (the low point where you gotta ride the kerb and track limits are pretty strict) but after what felt like an eternity I put together a pretty good lap.

We’re about F2 pace here, by the way:

I see I'm not alone in being a bit burned out on GT7 recently. I've found the last few TTs pretty frustrating. I got the gold the first night at Alsace without too much trouble (although it's not a sure thing yet) but the others have all been quite the grind. I've been stuck around 3.6% in the VGT one for days now through several fairly long sessions. It's been getting a little more difficult to get myself to set the rig up in the evenings rather than just do something else. And if Le Mans is up next that isn't going to improve the situation in the least. I'm going to try once more tonight at Catalunya and see if I can improve but I feel like it might be a weak effort.
