I just think that the grind in TTs and Dailies and the game in general has taken its toll and sure cars are added but hardly inspiring…
I do not know what to say. I tried it yesterday. I see myself on a leaderboard and I am super slow compared to people on my network. I need to find around 0.6-0.8 to be competitive. I do not think it is just a controller…like in your case or mine. Some folks on a controller are 2 sec faster. I am truly trying to improve….but for the moment I am incapable.View attachment 1455395
This is one of the harder time trial challenges for me. It's difficult to be precise and keep the car off the walls when you're on a controller. Confidence is the most important thing because the more of it you have, the faster you can go. Learning the ideal lines and braking points is crucial when there's such a tiny margin for error.
Said it before and will say it again, the game is in dire need of more legit tracks. not too long either, like LeMans, NRing, St Croix ... i can't remember 97 corners ffs, just get me real racing circuits with real cars and they don't need to be uber fast. Lotus 7 anyone at Oulton park anyone? Or 60's race cars at Phillip Island? Or Formula Ford at Magny COurs?I see I'm not alone in being a bit burned out on GT7 recently. I've found the last few TTs pretty frustrating. I got the gold the first night at Alsace without too much trouble (although it's not a sure thing yet) but the others have all been quite the grind. I've been stuck around 3.6% in the VGT one for days now through several fairly long sessions. It's been getting a little more difficult to get myself to set the rig up in the evenings rather than just do something else. And if Le Mans is up next that isn't going to improve the situation in the least. I'm going to try once more tonight at Catalunya and see if I can improve but I feel like it might be a weak effort.
Congratulations Mate.Got gold.

Did You see @Tidgney guide lap? All that's needed here is confidence. I think we in general shouldn't care for lap invalidation because otherwise it would make us cautious.I am struggling to get to below 1:37:0. I clearly need to rethink how I approach this track. I know my struggles, just do not know how to master it (yet!):
1. Turn 1 - hitting the exact marker with the exact speed and going through that corner on 5th
2. The docks (last part of it from 3rd to 4th)
3. Tunnel: hitting the exact marker and carrying the speed on 4th without touching the wall
4. Hairpin - hitting the precise marker so that I arrive to mid corner on the 1st, upshift and carry all the speed
5. Last corner: either too careful and too slow or too fast and touching the wall

I love Tokyo in all formats but even I'm about 2 & 1/2 seconds away from the fastest time.
BTW, are You driving the Supra? Try using the BMW M6 for a change. I found that car damn responsive & smooth in turns. I'll be using this car today to lower my PB.
You've to treat every lap as hit or miss. Also even if the lap gets invalidated, don't restart but continue pushing the rest of the lap as You would do. The more You lap around, the more You come into the groove which helps build confidence.I did watch it a couple of times. Also followed Hizal as my ghost. So I know the theory, but I am lacking skills and experience. Maybe balls too to go faster in Tokyo:-)

Also try playing with the assists if that helps. Check the sensitivity level of Your controller too.

2. Take it in 1st, 2nd then 3rd - no need to jump to 4th until you're on the straight.
The lower gears will help with rotation.
Hope this helps a bit???
This ought to be crazy fun!First time we've had the No Chicane version for one of these

This was inevitable, this doesn't help the burnout to be honest 😂Morning folks,
We are ofcourse getting Le Mans thursday and i'm not looking forward to that either.... so, sorry to say but kind of trial burned out here...
It’s actually not like it was on the wheel shake. Did 2 laps before work, not sure if I like this one or not. I think that there are a lot of le man fans who will smash this out of the park.Wrist-breaking wheel shudder, here we come!
You are probl. right on that one, lots of enthusiasts for le Mans i guess,It’s actually not like it was on the wheel shake. Did 2 laps before work, not sure if I like this one or not. I think that there are a lot of le man fans who will smash this out of the park.

Perhaps this time trial isn't as hard as I thought. It's actually quite a fun track to drive around because of the high average speed. There is something genuinely thrilling when you nail a corner just millimetres from the wall.
I remember doing 3 laps on that one and thought nah bugger it, I can't be fluffed.100%
It takes some getting used to seeing through the walls and once you do, the pace and flow gets quicker and quicker. I love the Expressway layouts for this. This TT hasn't clicked for me yet, probably due to the fact I'm not fast in race cars, but I found the 400R one was quite addictive.
