After seeing multiple people rave about the Supra at RBR, I decided to try it. At first it wasn't any special but I managed to undercut my 911 time by a single tenth:

Since then I tried to find the silver bullet (as in several other cars) to gain those last few tenth to reach gold but it seems that I have to bite this bullet. In any car I tried I could reach 1:31.9 or a very low 1:32 but can't even get close to my PB, not even in the Supra. It is what it is, I super happy that I can silver more or less with normal effort. Coming from barely reaching bronze this is a big accomplishment for me.

Speaking of attaining silver, I also tried the AMG/Monza TT. Gold isn't far, yet so far away:

I saw in-game that there's an ACC part of this competition on the PS5, as well. I loaded up ACC but didn't find it. Nevertheless, I created a practice session with the '20 AMG. Oh boy, I couldn't even put together a valid lap...
If you are using automatic transmission then I’d recommend the GTR and the M6 but lift fractionally at the corner exits so that it doesn’t over rev/torque

If you are using manual gears I’m not sure the Supra is the best car, it needs short shifting and a lot of trail braking/dragging (for me) just really busy work.

The Supra's party trick is top end speed and a VERY safe rear end on exit for a FR car. Around RBR though it feels a touch heavy and reluctant to turn. I'd certainly try the beetle for something with stability and agility.

Speaking of which, gave the Mercedes a run at Monza, managed a safe gold of 49.3, likely have another half second in me but that's 2 million credits so I am out.

it's quite ok to drive except for the exit of T1 Retiffilo ...2nd gear seems boggy and first gear hits the limiter immediately, but very grippy Merc'y
I couldn’t find a happy place that was a smooth exit in first and obviously like you Its hitting the limiter, 2nd wasn’t fast either but that’s my gear change rather than car so that’s a me thing.

That's it for me at Le Mans, Gr.1 and soft tires make it difficult to be precise with the pad so i didn't push this TT a lot.
Tomorrow is time for the real LE MANS 24!! 🏁

I’m using manual, haven’t even crossed my mind to use automatic. Actually tried all 3 (GT-R, M6, Beetle), couldn’t gel with any of them. Of course, I’m not a good driver, so that’s not a surprise :) I certainly will try some more though, at least the silver is safe.

Speaking of being close to gold, tried my luck again at Le Mans:

Managed to shave off 1.1 seconds. I’m happy with it but mad, as well, forgot to save the replay while I was busy screenshotting…

Mate if you gold lemans you can't be half bad!

Looks like Friday the 13th was good to me today! Just made this run in the 458 😎 (watch on YT for 4k and like)

And usually the 13th of any month on a Friday is unlucky. But I'm glad everything worked out for you, keep going! I tell ya, RBR is a tricky course to master and get the hang of. That's why I don't enjoy doing time trials there. For that specific reason only.

I understand. However, in the real world turn 2 is the left kink on the straight leading to the elevated right hander which is turn 3.
Thx for that info. This may be a case where the "fake" world has a better understanding of what a turn is. Somehow a full out stretch with a 5 degree kink hardly seems to warrant notation as a turn.

But, I get that you are pointing out necessary consistency in track feature identification. Thx

Well you can always use the assists and replays to better help you understand a hard turn or corner on a specific track. Just giving you an extra bit of advice if you're new to a certain track of the game. Good luck mate out there. That is one of the keys for being consistent and accurate on braking/accelerating.

Morning folks,

Started today with shredding EVO tires at the RBR, but man I had a hard time even sub 30 it this morning, it just didn't work, I loose about an hour on Chafe at turn 1 alone.... not even funny....

Did PB in the end with some thousands 🙈🤣

Then went back to Monza to find some time,.
My the 2 Lesmo's are lapkillers everytime 🤣
Should be some time left if I can figure out them two 😁

Today played the Monza TT with the AMG GT3 '20 car. Absolutely loved driving the amount of laps I did mainly because of the RS tyres. These tyres made it feel as if the car is on rails. Plus, love how the car handles the sausage kerbs making You want to go aggressive even more.

20250614_174057.jpg

Managed to Gold the TT with a time of 1:49:416 which is about 2 Tenths within the Gold category. I'm sure still a lot of users who're better than myself have to play this TT which is why I'm not getting too excited just yet with my ranking. I'm surprised at myself not just for golding this (for the time being) but even golding the other 2 current TTs (RBR & Le Mans). The previous 2 TTs even I had golded (Alsace & Tokyo). Either I've upped a gear or the TT's are real easy for an average driver such as myself.

20250614_174136.jpg

BTW, waiting for @Tidgney 's lap guide for the AMG Monza TT. I'm sure his inputs will help me lower my PB out there.

P.S. - Hats off to Polyphony Digital for providing TTs with the best tyres (Racing) because that's when You can concentrate just on pushing the car to it's limit. When on Sports tyres, it's more about who can control the slide & braking more than just pushing the car to its absolute limit.

It's a decent start. Have another quarter second in the optimal time. No way I'm reaching top 24. I bet we see a 46.3 by the end of this. Maaaaaaybe a 46.2.
I am hoping to just dip into the the 47's (currently at 48.3xx). It's a big adjustment for me to jump from the Ferrari to the AMG, so we'll ( usually race the Ferrari in everything I can).
That's a smokin' lap bro!!!

Morning folks - Had a quick couple of goes at Red Bull Ring the last couple of nights to try a few different cars, and despite this being a bit of a meme event (I think that's what the kids call it), it's nice to be able to post competitive times in different cars. Ferrari and Aston Martin were both nice and fast, but this morning's run I switched to the Lancer and got into the 28's. Seemed appropriate to use an old DTM livery for this one. Le Mans on in the background, family all asleep 🤌

Then moved to Monza... not sure if there is a reward for this, but I do like the track and the car on RS tires is very nice to drive. Optimum of 47.8, but for now, I've a four tenths to find. Will keep ducking in and out of this over the next month as time allows, but will jump back to Le Mans for my next session.

First test in Monza :
Get gold in 1'48'476 with optimal time at 1'48'118

You are getting faster and faster each new timetrial on you first tests, first it were only just golds, nowadays you run sub 2% on your first laps, realy big progression buddy, hats off! ( how do you say that in french? Tomber le chapeau? Instead of la chemise? 🤣)

Well done!

Hello there

Precision my friends, precision....

Then I got to improve my time with the Viper.

Most of the time I'm in the 22:9 for the 1st sector, sometimes I see a 22:8 and even few 22:7s, but I'm never able to convert the rest of the lap into a good one when I see the .7.

One thing I changed today was the exit of T1. Now I do it in 3rd, never going down to 2nd just like I did yesterday. Other than that I adjusted some breaking points here and there by breaking a little bit later once I got more confidence with the car.

The optimal tells me I have a 30:3, but I guess I'll settle for the 30:4. Maybe, maybe.... I'll try a different car another day.

The lap:
