After a week off I come back and find the Swift round the ’Nord. I’ve only done 4 laps so far but what a joy this car is. So chuckable and balanced. It’s very entertaining in its slow way. Oh, and I can take a drink of tea while driving down the final straight 🤣

Yesterday i had another go at Monza. I started making little steps into 1:48,6.
But after watching some laps of the top 10 aliens i did this:

The things i've changed were
  • exiting the 1st chicane in 1st, not 2nd gear
  • a downshift in both Lesmos to 2nd for rotation (works realy nice!)

Still not yet achieved my goal of a gap less than 2s to the leader, but less than 2% is already better than my average!
And there's more time to find! I start dreaming of a 1:47 ...
 
Well, after going to the ring for about an hour I got from a 8:31.8 to a 8:31.639 :lol:
Feels like I'll let this go if the new TT on thursday is a good one.

I'll leave the Red Bull Ring as is, happy with my time there as Gr.3 isn't my strong suit. 1:30.386 with an optimal of 1:30.1xx so little to gain...

Finally got into gold at Monza. 1:49.114 with an optimal of a 48.8xx
I like this one a bit better than the RBR, so I'll give this some more attention.

I always say to my self "relax and concentrate for beeing as smooth as possible with my inputs"....
After a half lap i have to take a break because there isn't any blood left in my crampy Hands, while they try to squeeze the pad into pieces. 🤣🤣🤣
 
Was able to lower my PB from 8:25:124 to 8:24:877 after driving many laps around the Nurburgring. Today again I was lacking rhythm but didn't want to give up on playing. So I followed my preferred trick - restart if the lap gets invalidated & start afresh.

Happy to enter the 24 category but I'll still keep trying as practice makes man perfect.....:cheers:

Yeah that was my original approach too.....be smooth as silk and prevent any squeeking.....then @Dan_Tes uploads his lap and yeeets the thing all over the place 🤣🤣

I'm getting faster though but not fast enough 🤣, and the last backstraight is just to long to build up the nervs from heaving a very descent split 🤣,

But.. you are not alone.... my Duelsense squeeks too 😵‍💫🤣

Tried some laps after work ... did find 3tenths, I should be able to sub 22 it maby, depends on what we get next

Well, there you go.....

I've done it again on the right account this time.....
the 47th, 48th and 49th gold medals approaching.....😎🥳🥳

I've improved a little, but I'm going to keep my fingers crossed until tomorrow evening because I really struggled at the RBR. ....😡🤬😡

with the Lancer, I can't do it, the Beettle, I've done it but I can't do it again, I tried the GT-R: gold from my launch lap...!!! 🤔🤔
then, no way of getting near that time....I was going crazy.....😂😂

Jéjé and Tidgney recommended the 458.....I tried it: not easy......but I insisted and after 300 kms on the 1st day and 140 the next day, I got it........finally.....pfffff 😂😂

if an alien takes it away from me, so be it....I already didn't like the RBR, now it's even worse. ....

the Schleife was easy and Monza only took me 1 hour.....this time.....

hey yes, I understand quickly, but you have to explain it to me for a long time......😂😂😂

I'm going back to Nurbur for the 3rd account, just for fun......but not to Austria....

Knowing that this is the final edition of this wonderful car (in november it goes off production line) I have some strong desire growing on me to purchase one as my daily IRL.
This TT on VR isnt helping to mitigate that growing whim :D

Tha bad thing about this lap is, that the split around 6:30 was 1,2s slower than my personal best. 😭🤪😂

(I did see you went faster by a tenth anyway). A poor last two sectors cost me over two tenths but there’s something about the perfection of that lap time that’s satisfying. It takes awhile for me to key in but when I do god it’s good! I think there’s another second at least on the table and I would love to grind this one to find it!

@Gomario JSP its a yeet but a controlled yeet.. strange handling on this car, it seems to enjoy an early turn in/turning the wheel too much as you enter most corners, definitely a car that suits motion steering @Barareklam !

Hoping I can get back soon but it might be a few days before I can go again. I can’t wait!
