First test in Fuji :
Love this combo 😍😍 Get gold in 143'270

A bit sad the Lancia TT is over, pleased with my time though
Same here, and while it's only my 2nd best TT finish I'm gonna spiritually consider it the best finish for me so far. Ranking 153rd globally for the Lake Louise TT earlier this year was too anomalous with its combo, and it always felt like a good chunk of the result was from "chancing" my way around that snow circuit. 😆

This GV TT in the Lancia feels more of a proper effort to me - road circuit, purpose-built car - so I definitely felt like my result directly reflected my current ability.

Hi folks!

First run in the RUF

Mixed feelings.... , sometimes it feels very heavy....and sometimes it doesn't...
It's planted though, but the last sector is just pure 💩 with it... 🤣
That last corner gives me the feeling I need a lot of whiskey ...

Let's say....I like certain parts of the combo 🤣

Not a bad start though!

The results for TT149 at Grand Valley - South in the Lancia Delta HF Integrale Rally Car '92 are over here. I have updated the opening post with the index of all TTs and the second post with the community scoreboards. A reminder that each driver's results for every TT is in the Excel file attached to the latest results post.

I am short of time to do interims, sorry. It's been a busy time with other matters and I'm doing even less on the TTs. Will need to catch up this weekend maybe to ensure the gold streak goes on.

Hello there

Gold at GV with the Lancia was my gold #50! Never thought I could get as many gold medals as this, but the thread.... It makes one faster. It sure does.

Then the Ruf... A car that makes Fuji a tolerable track... It must a hell of a good car!

However the last sector still is the most painful thing ever to drive on.

I’ve been ignoring the TTs recently but decided it time to give the GTO a go. First time applying the brakes I was GTFO! :D

Oh yeah. 80s brakes. It makes you wonder how anyone that was fortunate enough to own one l of these made it out alive. Come on, the probability of dying in a fiery death by wrapping it around a tree must surely have been higher than actually being able to stop at a stop sign

Any ways, I figured it out over a few laps and in a short session, about 8 laps, I pulled this out.

There is probably a bit more time left in the tank as I’m still learning this one

Finally got a silver lap time, which will do for me this time, but at least it's finally TT with a good rear engined car (not downplaying the DeLorean either that one is great too)I'm just not a fan of Porsche cars but RUFs are fine and dandy!View attachment 1463758Oh and I got silver in the delta TT! Only just mind...
You're doing great so far, maybe you'll reach gold territory soon if you run enough laps. Good luck the rest of the weekend. Most of the time I'm not a huge fan of Fuji. Sector 3 always gets me and puts me in a trap for losing valuable time. But practice makes perfect here in this scenario. Keep studying replays and ghosts too. They can help guide you to improving on your lap times. Take care.

@SPOOLMAN Impressive! If you already got gold in your second try, then you will for sure get a time in the 1'41.000's. Just demolish that Sector 3 everytime and you'll succeed. I'm sure the lower-skilled group needs more motivation to get silver or gold. Enjoy the rest of your weekend mate.

Cheers mate! yeah I was 1 second up until that pesky 3rd sector haha.

Have a fantastic weekend man 🙌

1:41.989 is currently placed 23th Crhis 😉, would be a very fast lap! 😁

Just tried the one at Interlagos last night, and got a silver time that’s about eight tenths off from the gold threshold. I find it actually kinda fun to drive the GTO, despite its braking distance feeling like forever.

EDIT: And the GTO is a homologation version of the 308, and thus comparable to the relationship between the Nismo Skyline GT-R LM Road Going Version and the Nissan Skyline GT-R (R33), right? Or perhaps as another example, the relationship between the McLaren F1 GT and the initial version of the McLaren F1.

Ummm... no? The relationship between the 308 and the GTO is "this is crap, can we make it awesome?", and there's ultimately almost nothing in common between the two cars aside from a couple of well buried components.

Nor was the GTO really intended as a homologation car (despite the name) as mentioned a couple of pages back; it was more inspired by Group B regulations (hence the 2,855cc engine which, with the turbocharging formula applied, came to 3,997cc - at the four-liter class limit). The Evoluzione was, but everything collapsed before they really got going with it with just five cars built.
