New TT is great. I think I'll be taking a hit to my DG Edge score but this is a really enjoyable drive. PD have nailed it with the combos recently. I expect the true aliens to redefine track limits here because if I can go faster than P1 in S1 by cutting more corner, they certainly can too.

Edit: @Famine usually I roll my eyes at your corny/clever thread title puns, but today I laughed at my phone and thought "W8, that's actually pretty gR8!"

Drove the Audi R8 around Dragon Trail - a track that I love in it's all variations. For the first few laps, it felt as if the front tyres were flat for not letting me turn when I want to (SH tyres in their element LOL).

So after getting to grips with the car, I was able to set a PB of 1:45:695 which as of now is in Gold. All this I achieved without seeing @Tidgney 's lap guide which he has to still post. Hoping after seeing his guide, I will be able to shave off a second. Even though the SH tyres are a pain, it's fun lapping around Dragon Trail.

Have you watched one of the professionals Youtube guides to get a better idea of what to do? There's plenty of options. Tidgney, Thekie25, SuperGT, MetalGear, Mistah_MCA, etc. They might be able to help you with your issue.

I would think it's harder to get the car to rotate using a wheel, I can't play gt7 if I don't have a controller available.

Why yes Chris...I did indeed 🤪 While not particularly speedy, I did get into the 2:03s in about 10 laps then call it a quit. I certainly hope this will be enough for gold by the end 🤣

Weak ABS used, pretty much the best I can do here except for a slightly nervy final corner, but that corner can go wrong in so many ways so I can't complain too much. Very good hairpin after sector 1.

You can cut T2 far more than you are btw. There's still time in this for you yet.

Can't really get the car to rotate out of the fjnal corner yet. Think I may have peaked early.

S1 is quite difficult due to those crappy sausages again but doable! but the hardest part of the combo

First look at the R8, very interesting combo, first few laps I though it wasn't all that great, but once you get the car to rotate it's quite fun, the last two corners of the supa-dupa-quattro-righthander is a real treat, full send.

The Ring turned out to be a „gold and run“ for me. The car is fun but the track just never really clicked for me. 🤷

The new one though … that‘s my cup of tea ;)

Managed to squeeze myself in-between @A_Higher_Place and @Gomario JSP for now. Although obviously I did it sweating my butt off in the cockpit while our Dutch friend probably played with one hand on his Nokia while holding a Heineken in the other. 😄

Anyway, comparing laps with others I realise that I lose a ton of time in S3. Hope I get a chance to fix this in another session.

I very much like GTPlanet, don't get me wrong, but the joke with preposterous purple colour is getting old, you are just ruining all the beautiful cars with it, like this R8.

I think you hurt someone by saying that. To be fair, it's not as bad as putting a spoiler on a Miura.

@crome Great lap! It's S1 chicane and the quad corner in S3 for me. Exiting both of those seems to be hit or miss. I am not sure i have much more in my lap at the moment as my time was my opt so I anticipate you and the Nokia fanboi to get a good run on me here :)
 
Another very enjoyable combo and I already seemed to have hit a highly optimised time on just the first session with a 1:43.326 but with a few error fixes I can push this down to .2 or .1 for sure. As for the car it drives a lot nicer than I was expecting, despite being on SH tires it's quite nice to handle once you get the hang of the track.

Well done!, and to be honest i did set my time on the Nokia fanboi setup ( thanks @A_Higher_Place , that did make me laugh 😂😂 )
yesterday evening, felt like there was still some time to find!

Yet.... this morning i did some miles on the TV and could not get close to my time, fastest was a high 6xx😂😂
If you can't get a descent run up through S1 you are toast 😂, quite difficult to place the car on the sausages on the pad

So it's not going to be that easy to progress here i am afraid,
