After test driving the Audi for 50 laps for the past 3 days, I was finally able to break in 1:43s. I've been patient & excited as well so I get the hang of trail braking eventually.

For the past 3 days I'm using Dragon Trail TT as test session as I'm in the process of changing my driving style through the buttons. Always have used the left & right sticks for turning & acceleration/braking. Now I've started to use L2/R2 because that will aid trail braking which I've missed so much on. Also have seen many videos on Youtube related to trail braking.

I don’t know if it would help but maybe try mixing it up for a few laps with a different camera just something to change it up a little and let you try it from a different perspective etc
Yeah, could try the bonnet (sometimes roof 🙈🤣) cam for a change., I'm stuck on bumpercam for a slong as I can remember, maby worth a shot, thanks for thinking with me 😁🙏👌

Was thinking just to give you a break but still practicing, it used to help me when I was at the consistent end of my pace and needed to find that little more, a few laps in a random cam then back to my normal one. It stopped me just repeating the same mistakes over and over (obviously I then learned new mistakes 🤣)

Well...another 300 miles this morning...... fastest was a .6 at seca 😵‍💫😵‍💫
The more I try.....the harder I fail ..
I am about to just give up on it and forget it, I need one tenth....but it just won't work..
The frustration is unbarable right now 🙈😡🤣
OK this is shot in the dark (or it shouldn't work according to sources) but you can still try and see if it gives any results.
Controller sensitivity 10.
Force feedback Max Torque 1
Force Feedback sensitivity 10
Try few laps and then try few laps where you keep controller sensitivity on 10 but switch two last ones, Force Feedback Max Torque to 10
Force Feedback sensitivity 1
Feels like we need to try anything right now so try it, doesn't hurt.
(Also as last thing if nothing helps, try to lower controller sensitivity and see if that helps)
(Not in front of PlayStation so I can't try anything )

Unfortunately I haven't had much time for trialling this week, so I was able to put in a grand total of 48km into the R8 at Dragon Trail.

Shame to have missed out on this one as the car was a pleasure to drive for the brief period I got to drive it. Excellent turn in and mid corner grip. Slight understeer on power but manageable. Sounds pretty good as well.

Not sad to have missed out on Dragon Trail Gardens though, too much corner cutting for my liking. Also I can't stand the quadruple right hander, that is just far too much turning right in one go.

Plenty of GTPers in the top 100, wish I'd have had the time to invest into this to join them.

Now if only I'd have been busy next week instead so I didn't have to attempt the Corvette.
The way some of you are describing that makes it sound like I need to prepare to add an extra silver to my medal tally for the first time since the GR Yaris at Lake Louise. :scared:

My best sector time at Laguna on controller is now at 1:06.495 with best lap at a .595. I’m not sure where that extra .3 is coming from. Getting better at the corkscrew, though.
Also, I just watched the Tidgney vid and it helped a bit. Will have to try more short shifting as well.

Yesterday: 1’43.051
This night: 1’43.002 → 1’42.972 → 1’42.961

To be three thousandths off a 42 was just comically close. I probably would’ve stopped there in most cases but this TT really clicked with me and I kept going because it was actually really quite fun. Another reason I kept going is because that lap (the 1’43.002) had a pretty weak first split (only .740), a good one should be about .500 - 650 or thereabouts. I think the best I did there was about .550 on a properly beautiful exit, that one of course eventually amounted to nothing but still, I knew .740 wasn’t good enough.

Fast forward a bit and it wasn’t just close anymore, now I got it. The 42!

Somewhat questionable if the final push for a mere 0,011 improvement was really worth it but oh well, I did gain two positions from it. If no one else knocks me down one that’ll be me equalling my all time best record. Didn’t really expect that, I have to say.

Anyway, for something different, here’s a direct capture from when I set the final lap, chasing a rare L-Shooter ghost (let’s see when we wake up tomorrow if Holland survived the onslaught):

Oh, by the way @ScottPuss20, maybe you really were joking here but in case you weren’t, let’s bust that myth — when I set this lap the battery on my controller had given me the flashing and low battery warning about 90 minutes prior.

I guess I'm wrong then.

Thanks for thinking along Ninja,

Sensitivity is always on 10 with me, i have tried lowering it but in this case it seems to more work against me, it does work on the more snappy cars but funny enough with it's 100.000 horsepower it isn't that snappy.
Max Torque was at 10, FFB sensitivity at 1, although i think these settings don't aply to the normal controller use except for the motionsteering, i did change them like you suggested...
Funny enough i was not sure there either was a difference or i just did a few solid laps after each other, but had a few .5's and 6'es to start with and eventually did hit a .346 😂

Missed the forlast apex though but don't know if i even ever did hit it 😂

If Shooter has better nerves than me through the final corner, he probably will take it. 🤪
With a dead perfect lap its possible to sneak in the .4s

Who ever of the top guys is going to even think of setting a faster lap before it ends..

The Clio seems like fun!, let's hope i have a full "seca-less" week and full attention for the Yeeet-machine
They are very light on the steering IRL, let's hope this is the case in GT7 too 😁 😂😁😂
