I was keeping an eye on this. He was still second with two minutes to go.

...Aaaaaaand just like that my hopes of getting my 9th gold medal are dashed.

Originally I saw that after 5 hours of trying on 22/8 I was only ~0.5 secs off the gold threshold, and thought to myself that a Gold was doable this time, so I decided to give it another try. Yesterday after another 4-5 hours of attempts, I finally got a 1:45.690. That seemed safe enough to me, but I thought, "ah well, just to be sure" and spent another 2 hours TT-ing and got the time you guys saw above. I knew there was still another tenth or two up for grabs to me, but my eyes really weren't willing to go through that ordeal anymore, so I called it quits for the day, happily thinking to myself that tomorrow I'll bag my gold medal and the 2m reward.

Well, today came, and after the TT has ended, I decided to head over to this thread to see if there's been any change to the top time, and well, yeah. :indiff: I mean, I should've seen this coming. Usually it takes a lot longer for me to get into the gold region for the TTs I've actually got gold on, and the time holl01 set has remained intact pretty much since the day I first tried this TT. But damn, it sure feels disappointing. Maybe I shouldn't have tried to aim for the gold time; I probably shouldn't have, if I'd known how it's gonna go (i.e. down the drain).

Netted a comfortable but uninspiring Gold in the Audi at Dragons

Went into Laguna Seca, did a few laps, left soon after, an absolute abomination of a combo, the car is ok (it looks cool) but to drive is just stupid, they should have put it on Special Stage Route X. I will usually persevere with the tougher TT challenges, but this one sucks, so I'm out.

Hello Mr Renault Clio 🤗

Sucks when that happens...but, you ended up with a nice high silver. Nothing wrong with that!

Yeeeeaaahhhh... I actually told myself after this setback that I will no longer dedicate that much time into GT7's Online TTs, given they're usually a huge time-waster if I actually tried to go beyond my limits and after a target.

But we'll see how that quote fares when PD decides to give us a Fuji/Suzuka with a 4/RWD real road car! ;)

The results for TT158 at Dragon Trail - Gardens in the Audi R8 4.2 FSI R tronic '07 are over here. I have updated the opening post with the index of all TTs and the second post with the community scoreboards. A reminder that each driver's results for every TT is in the Excel file attached to the latest results post.

Here are some interim statistics for TT159 at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in the Chevrolet Corvette CX.R Vision Gran Turismo Concept.

Hang on, what’s the deal with @peniu there? P11 & P16 with the former on controller (which is seriously quick)?

What a fun fun fun TT the Sardegna TT is!!!!!! Set a PB of 2:05:588 (A/T surprisingly)!

A real smooth, flowing & scenic location which didn't feel taxing even after spending 1 & 1/2 hours. On laps 31, 32 & 33 I kept improving my PB on M/T. I was able to go faster to my current PB in A/T though.

I started on my own & after a few laps I was about 5 seconds slower than the fastest time because of having no brake references. I then paused the game & switched to Youtube to see if @Tidgney has posted a lap guide & he had rightfully so. After seeing the lap guide instructions, bit by bit I kept lowering my PB. Was following Tidney's ghost & in this TT, the ghost doesn't feel much of a distraction.

I still haven't touched the Laguna Seca TT & won't even now as this TT is super fun & is vital in helping me gain confidence in using L2/R2 for braking/accelerating respectively. Just excited for the times ahead.

Well, there you go... when you have 220 hp instead of 2067... I can do it... 😂😂

I'm enjoying it, I'm in the 1000s... um, as I write this, probably more...😂

and not far from Jéjé...
I have to get under 2'06...
as for Pesselles, he's definitely left our galaxy...🤔😂

in fact, only turns 4 and 5 are problematic to get right on every lap...
I often enter 4 too fast and I'm in a bad position for 5 and therefore the straight that follows... and my S1 is bad...😡

Getting knocked out of gold is a rite of passage! Such is the GT7 life… trial by fire makes us faster 👍

Did the time trial featuring the older Audi R8 @ Dragon Trail Gardens yesterday, and although I only was on the track for about half an hour, I got a time that was around 2.77% off the top at the time, so I think I’ll be collecting another gold when I check in today. I love the way it drives, too! The brakes seemed very good, as well.

So should be some more time to find but not to Shaabbyy of a start in the little yellow b*stard

And...very glad my first weeks time stond ground for the top 100.... 93, I'll take it 😁🤣

Improve my time at Sardegna Road at 2'05'691 with optimal time at 2'05'380
My optimal time suggests great things to come. How nice it is to see real cars again, and French ones at that. 🇨🇵🥰🥰

Follow @Tidgney 's guide! Find your braking points, use throttle control, turn in earlier than you'd think, pray, use countersteer strong, yell, scream, smash things, repeat, post on GTPlanet.
I did improve a bit. My optimal is now 1:05:5xx and honestly I'm happy with that. Currently sitting at high 6s.

I was following the number one ghost for a while. Switched to @Tidgney and immediately the whole thing flowed much better. IDK what's about his lines, but I felt much more in control following him.

Turn 1 is my worse. Can't get a nice exit no matter what.
