So improvement has been done, but just in time not in placement.
This feels just terrible... should have used the restart button after sector one. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚
I watched your run today great job on the improvement shame place wise got no where the sector 3 was out of this world amazing. And yeah shame over the sector 1 a 69 does you no justice for your 2nd and 3rd. Also everyone got knocked down a spot thanks to one of RB's late no save replay snipes not that I count them myself.

The results for TT160 at Sardegna - Road Track - A in the Renault Sport Clio R.S. 220 EDC Trophy '16 are over here. I have updated the opening post with the index of all TTs and the second post with the community scoreboards. A reminder that each driver's results for every TT is in the Excel file attached to the latest results post.

No time for interims this week, sorry.

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Gran Turismo 7 Online Time Trial: Nimble Stratos

A quartet of events awaits in the current Gran Turismo 7 Online Time Trial challenges, bringing with them the chance to earn 8m credits for only a few minutes’ effort — if you’re quick enough...

Man, this would have been a fun challenge for me. Especially riding around and exploring the Eiger track every time I run laps. And looking at the crowd cheering me on gets me wound up and excited too everytime. Sigh, I've got to find a cheap ps5 for Christmas, seriously. I miss hot lapping around here.

The latest guide for anyone wondering. I'd argue this one is easier on the controller than the wheel!

Thanks for lap guide, great to see as always, and great quality, thanks for that. Just out of curiosity, how long time it takes you to edit TT lap guide?

Great guide as always my friend. You always explain it well and break each part of the track down with details. Can be helpful for most of the mortal drivers. The aliens might not need your advice, :)

Hope everyone does well and scores some quick, low lap times. Good luck!

What a weird sensation the Lancia at Eiger, it has a weird behavior...
First few things I noticed....start breaking before you even enter the timetrial.... you'll need it... braking for the long left hander is quite tricky let alone handeling the slower turns...exits are tricky too!
But could be fun!, first few laps on the laptop were ok...and I was bummed about beeing reverse, but it actually isn't that bad of layout

Hello! Thankyou for the kind comments! In terms of editing, I've had to make sure my video editing is very structured and sort of "Factory" produced per sey. I still get to do my fun bits and the not so fun bits I've managed to really reduce with efficient processes. So if you discount me enjoying the time trial (Amount of time I get to race can vary depending on when baby wakes up and I start work, to then have a break to do this and if I like it I will play a bit longer), I'd say 1 hour (Including a Pre-Render)? 1 Hour 30 if you include actual rendering time but I go back to work then when it's doing that? Depends on the track of course, todays was less I'd say under an hour due to its length. If you include the racing it's normally between 2 - 3 hours, my limit is 3.5 hours.

@Tidgney that all makes sense and a lot of us relate to that family time balance vs hobby passion.

Streamlining the process and years of practice defo give you more time.

My mind boggles how you dial them in so quickly (ignoring your experience) it’s just so fast so quickly! Especially is VR which you secretly hate ;)

Really good TT but man I find it on the harder side especially in VR
What did you find hard in VR in this TT ?

My VR legs are quite young but the big altitude changes did not bother me, and visibility wise, this car is not bad.

Driving it on the other hand on that track is not easy, I lost it a few times and need to learn my breaking points, only one valid lap after 3 red. Close to silver that will be possible for me I think, gold maybe but the target will move and I need to improve quite a bit too.

The main issue I had and it’s a good question BTW wasn’t the actually VR aspects, elevation changes are fine for me after the amount of racing I do.

It’s actually in managing the car placement and it’s ā€œalternativeā€ handling, the way you have to drive it starts to blend styles of driving a fair bit and that’s a pattern shift. I only did 25 miles or so in it so I’d imagine in a session you would be a lot lot quicker.

The worst/hardest corners for me are probably the easiest on controller as the weight transition isn’t as pronounced I other views be the downward banked left sweeper and the proceeding right left are very tricky in VR for me to balance the slide because I can see more of the stuff I can hit because I’m looking at it!

It’s challenging and a few hundred miles it’s not a prob but the first 20/30 miles it was exceptionally challenging for me

Ye it's a process I do try and refine and continue to, only the boring bits mind I won't streamline the fun bits because they're fun haha!

Haha nooooo! I don't hate VR! Although I need to look into proper cleaning of the VR set now. VR takes me about 3 laps to get upto speed, I've no idea why but the 1st lap I just don't seem to be aggressive at all with the car. Todays for example, first lap I think was a 15.9? and it was all just me not accelerating quickly enough šŸ˜‚. It's habit I'm trying to get out of! I do love it for how close I can get to walls on the drivers side.

Yes...bladiebla.... into the 24's... I'm done...
Nothing to see here....
...this hurts.... šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ‘Œ
There was no joy in this one, only pain! I’d like to get back into the Honda NSX and do better there, whilst it’s tougher to get top 100 that trial it’s a more fun car to throw around even on the ā€˜wrong’ tyres!

Also, Stratos? No thanks, I’ve never managed to get that thing to go round a high speed corner!

Hey folks,

honestly thereā€˜s currently no place in my life for GT7. Not because I have burnt out or anything, but because I, like seemingly half the internet, compulsively invest every free minute I get into Hollow Knight - Silksong šŸ˜…

That being said, itā€˜s Time Trial Thursday, so of course I was curious … and itā€˜s a good one. Very good in fact. Quite satisfied with the first results.

It came together relatively easy as well, and there were enough mistakes in the lap to make me think a 1:14 is possible.

A tip for wheel users: dial down the steering angle. I used 720 degrees, which made the quick succession of sharp corners a lot more bearable.

Now if youā€˜ll excuse me … I have a few bosses to kill šŸ˜‰
