I reakon we have more grip than they did in 1992. One of the all time great "leave nothing out there" laps from the late, great, Peter Brock. 5 litre v8 like baby Jesus intended. Watch it.

Thankyou! Enjoyed watching that. One of the funniest things I have ever seen on TV occurred at Mt Panorama Many many moons ago….

The TV company had a swivel mount camera attached to the roll cage in a black car (driver and manufacture unknown).

As the car descended the mountain, the poor driver clipped a wall and totally destroyed the car. Wheels off. Bits of car all over the track. The driver, unharmed, is now being interviewed by a very excited pundit while reviewing footage of the wreck on a big screen.

Pundit asks, at the first point of contact with the wall….”So! What’s wrong with the car now mate?”

Driver - With a look of incredulity and disbelief - “Its out of control you stupid B****r!!!!”


Slightly more on topic….

I am away from home for a few weeks. I have several TT prizes to claim. When do the prize tickets expire please and can I claim them “Remotely” if they are to expire before I return home?

Morning folks,

Did take a look at the Mustang, and yes it's exactly what i expected it to be but kind of worse..
Such an epic track with those elevations, those walls which you can scrape so easy and those long straights where you can only loose whole minutes when you stuff up your exit on T1 or T-gazillion ...

But then you have the Mustang..... i just hate it here, i have absolutely no feeling what so ever, don't know what it is, it's very predictable on it's behaviour don't get me wrong but the line just isn't feelable for me, maby it's the racing hards??
It's like riding on ice with grip ( on cambered corners ) without feedback

I even tried a different Duelsense this morning :confused:

Maby it needs an other approach or something but i'm not feeling this one yet,

Gave the Corsa another go. Man I am about to give up...
This car I don't know. It just feels slow and heavy for the power it has...

Drove around 280km, at least 50 laps abandoned after S1, being too slow...
Got the hang of T1, but T2-T3 is just... I lose around .9s to Tidgney in just that corner...
My time is now 1:08.421 and I'm as little as .112s from gold...

S2/S3 are fairly consistent, if I continue after S1...
S1 time is 25.1-25.2, if i got a 25.4 I reset...

I like the Hyundai more lol...

Ha, yes I know about this and I bet a few aliens do as well! I'm guessing most will post their final time near the end.

I will try and nab a $25 gift card, would be nice to get some TT reward.

Cheers bud, appreciate that. I love this circuit so much. Still waiting for the day when I'm confident enough on the wheel to make the switch for TTs so I can hopefully get even faster. My dream is to be in the top 100 just once lol, It's control pad for now, using the wheel on this game isn't for me as I keep spinning!

I think you could do it, there’ll be 23 winners but not everyone will apply for sure. I bet most in the top 100 have no clue.
 
For those who have time to spare - this is my lap. I knew it was quick for me at the time, but watching it back in chase cam I'm quite proud.

Obvs you won't learn anything vs watching the likes of Tidgney etc but I'm sharing anyway as it's probably in the top 3 laps I've ever done on this game, one of the others was also at Bathurst in the Clio TT 🤣😂

He was only using 75% of the grip available, hahahaha. He still needs to get some heat into that front left.
 
Well..... the wife was doing other stuf in the house so I took the opportunity to sniff walls at the mountain again, about 90% of my laps ended up red by hitting the right wall at the full send left handers on top of the hill, I either get airborn when hitting to much curb on the inside or I am understeering into oblivian and scrape away all the orange paint I had....

It must be Salem haarballing his spell over this combo.... stare down did help a bit though 😂 😂

Finally had a not scraping hill and drift slided my way downhill...... even went to fast in and yeeted into second for some delay.... 🤣🤣
And a very reserved last sector cause I realy wanted a laptime 😁🤣🤣

Not very pretty but gold secured 🤣
