I'm looking for lap times on the ring with 100% stock Honda NSX Type R 2002 (no changes at all).

Is there a list somewhere? Or, if you've done it and have it, can you post your lap time?

(it has to be in Time Trial mode - Morning - No assists except ABS Default)

Ok, just arrived back in the house and was eager to test this myself hehehehe I had never driven this car 100% stock before, this was my very first attempt just finished seconds ago... my time was no spectacular at 8:22 ... it is what it is, but being a first attempt I think I can improve it a little just by repetition (I actually skid a bit off track on at least two occasions, and I'm sliding all over the place lol), and then a little more by learning some driving skills (and this topic is helping for sure).

By the way, I'm using a standard controller.

Thank you so much for all participating, it really helps me understand where I'm at and learn more, all having good fun :)

No worries, you're already helping a lot :)

At this stage I think I could only improve my time to around 8:10 if I manage to do a clean lap and fix some of the trajectories/sliding... anything less than that will require really developing my skills a lot, I'm not sure I'll have to time to achieve it :(
 
Ok, took a quick break from work... my second attempt I was able to lower my time to 8:11 and that was with one crash and a couple of turns off track :lol:

Still, dropping 11 seconds on a second attempt, I feel very optimistic that I will break the 8:10 mark and eventually go lower to around 8:05... with my current skill set.

I've corrected a few trajectories, with earlier and harder turn in at several locations, and tried to go easier on the brakes (braking with less power for longer time). Also tried not downshifting on some of the turns of the very first section (despite the game suggesting that I do), that seems to make a difference...

oh well... work in progress ;)

Best time so far is 8:06, I slid off the grass 1 time. I don't think I could push it any further for now haha.
 
By the way, here's the video of my 8:11 lap yesterday. I did try a couple more rounds later on and I'm pretty sure I was nailing it at less 3 or 4 seconds... but those attempts ended up in disaster, it was really very late and my focus was gone, but I know I can improve this time attack substantially, I'm still making too many mistakes :)

My suggestion is to turn on your personal best ghost and try to beat it. That's what I did.

I get distracted easily by the ghost, but I'll try it to see how it goes :) I hope I can find some time today to try a couple more rounds ;)

I'm with ya.. I hate the ghost.. personal preference is just to run & try to beat my previous best.. unlocked 17 last night, now I can finally do the "Ring" solo.. gonna make a few runs with my Golf GTI later, might have to post up to see how I fair vs. that NSX.. looks nice in video, but i'd feel dirty giving in to my German autos.. LoL!

ooooook... got two more rounds in! Finally broke the 8:10 barrier and managed to get 8:09!!! But even better, on my second round I miraculously got 8:07 after a lap that really looked very bad with a lot of mistakes, crashing and off-roading :lol: that was very weird! :crazy:

Now we're getting somewhere.

By the way, for comparison purposes, please state what type of control you're using, Dualshock or something else... that really helps understand the times and performance differences.
 
Got an 8:04 on a first lap attempt. Boy does that thing like to throw it’s ass about. I could definitely be faster but for sure but it means not having a tidy lap. Definitely some areas I was hitting the brake to early because I didn’t trust the rear of the car.
