Drivers with gold in all TTs
The number of drivers with gold in all TTs dropped to 29, with J.Morgan - RRR's time of 1:18.766 missing the gold cut-off by 0.014 seconds, maybe as a result of that late charge by Andrew Lee and L-Shooter. The remaining 29 drivers are listed in the second post in this thread, along with a data table and graphs.

If you want to say thank you
(record scratch) (freeze frame) Yep, that's me. You're probably wondering how I got into this situation.
I'd imagine J.Morgan is pissed right off this morning! lol.
So here's the story. Only session I put into the TT was the last two hours before the deadline. I did hear through the grapevine that the Xiaomi was stinky to drive but not how stinky. In truth, it was pretty stinky. Something in how the car shifts the torque laterally on power, how the equivalent to a differential is working on accel and decel and how clunky the ABS was meant I couldn't string a lap together. You really had to lay off the throttle entry to mid for it to not want to plow, and it was a case of I'd nail it in the first sector and flub it on the double apex left before the run up the hill or vice versa. Sport softs was probably not the call here, even with Sugo being narrow not helping matters.

My optimal was maybe half a second clear of the gold threshold, but couldn't put it all together and simply ran out of time. On my best lap i lost so much on the first half of the double apex left, but up to that point I was keeping up with a ghost that was a 1:18.0something. It is what it is, wish there was a bad beat bonus in case me or others did get bumped in the last hour but it doesn't change a thing with how tight to the deadline I was.

But you know what, I did pretty good for myself these last few years with the all gold streak. 232 golds with one of those being the platinum for the Olympic Deep Forest TT. It's quite the accomplishment to be able to do that, and it's been quite a priveliege to be able to use all those 2 million stimulus cheques to be able to fully enjoy the sandbox that GT7 has on offer. That 100 mil I have from doing these sure comes in handy when making Sophy carsets, like a F3500 set I'm working on rn.

If anything, I'm relieved that The Streak for me is finally done. The pressure is off and now I can just do the ones that seem fun to do while enjoying the rest of the game for what it is. And hey, GT7 is pretty good when you take the pressure off. 🫡

Quite right and well done. I reckon for those of us left it will be the same; time will be the issue. We'll drop out either because of a longer holiday, or PD springing a one week TT on us while away or busy.

Thanks for dropping by and enjoy your pressure free driving.

Great post, i've no idea how folks can gold so easily. I gold more often than not but generally have to put in at least 20 laps or so and I cannot gold the weird stuff like the Chinese spy barge from last week, so kudos for the run.

I think there's been maybe 3 or 4 of these that I've managed to gold in the vicinity of 20 laps. Most of them take me at least 40 or 50 laps. My primary goal is to not end up with bronze lol...

We are pretty close on pace you and I, and seem to struggle with the same stuff at times. I tend to do well with the Group 3 and 4 cars, struggle more with road cars and I am absolutely useless with EV as I just cannot get and sensation of speed from the sexless things.

Yeah I seem to be able to do well with cars that have some grip, brakes, and predictable characteristics. Cars like the Xiaomi - which has none of those things - I have a tough time with.

Man that Maser trial is tough, after 40 laps FINALLY managed a 22.9 but man, it is one of those ones where I have absolutely NO IDEA where more time comes from. Yes I watch replays, yes I watch Tidge, yes I use the data logger and use ghosts. I see where they gap me but how they rotate the car is totally beyond me, it is like they are on SS not SH.
