Time Trials funner than Racing vs.

That's enough.
Disagreements are fine. Not everyone shares the same viewpoint here, but you do not get abusive while trying to prove a point.

Get back on topic and take the petty squabbling outside of this site.

Regarding your sig, I agree that less is more fun when it comes to HP. Momentum driving/racing is a lot of fun.

TOOL. You STILL haven't answered the simple question of what other car in GT4 remotely resembles a F1 car. I never at any stage said it was a F1 car.
Answer the question which car in GT4 remotely resembles a F1 car

Just to poke fun at this and answer the question. The Toyota Triathalon car resemebles an F1 car. Closest thing I can think of off the top of my head.

Also, poor guy. He's banned. I thought he might've been trouble when he was arguing with me the other day. I quickly dismissed him and went on doing what I do best on here. Things.

There's never been a single Formula 1 car in the entire 50 or so year history of the sport that has been built with fenders.
I agree with you that the Toyota 7 looks nothing like an F1 car but, for your information...

I'm more interesting in that weird-looking red car in the background (No. 5). I take it that massive engine isn't actually attached to it? :)

I do enjoy the TT's but, for me nothing is more exciting than racing. Racing is what Motorsport is all about, yes people get in your way, slow you down and it can be difficult to overtake but, nothing for me comes close to a good clean race. I don't want to relax, I want it to be intense, I want the thrill of beating someone on the track. When I want to relax i'll have a beer and watch TV. Imagine how boring Motorsport would be if there was no racing, only individuals going around the track trying to be the quickest. I do like to watch the qualifying sessions but, if thats all there was I would be a little disappointed and wouldn't love the sport or game as much as I do.

Believe it or not, the Toyota 7 DOES resemble certain F1 cars. It was merely a closed cockpit, closed fender design, a great many of the 70's Ground Effect vehicles were of similar Toyota 7 design, except they removed excess wheel moulding and cockpit enclosures to save weight.

Daan, thank you for the photo of that beautiful car, and I stand humbly corrected.

I usually like to have certain goals to shoot for and currently the Online Racing in GT5P isn't as organized as the TT is . While winning a race is a tangible goal but with no statistic to follow, it rings hollow. Apart from the mutitiude of Online TT Challenge, I'd usually set a goal to achieve. Just this week I finally broke the 1:55 sec barrier with the F430 at the Daytona Road Course.
It would also be nice if PD would tabulate the TT leaderboard not only by the pro/standard physics but also by the different sets of tires N1-N3 and S1-S2. Right now, it's pointless to be able to pick different tires if everyone would gravitate towards the stickiest compound. Or if that proves too much, at least a Normal and Sports tires category.

I love time attcking, can't get enough of it. I mainly time attack in the F2007. My aim is always to get in the top 10 in the F2007, it can take a while but I tend to get their more often then not.
The other reason I like to time attack is because i'm not exactly an expert at setting up a car.

I have found that it is more fun right now to just practice drifting than being punted around. But I will always do a full GTP race no matter how good(or lucky) I've been drifting that day.

Is there any racing game out there right now that has a better system of Time Trial than gt5p? The lap times and top 10 replays are extracted automatically, the interface looks slick, you get pop-ups letting you know when you've improved your ranking.. to me, tt is the strongest part of gt5p. Its the most complete in its functions. Compare that to something like f1ce, and the f1 tt mode really blows. It barely even works, while gt5p's is already outstanding. Yeah I'm a big fan of tt, but only because PD did such a good job with it.

I do TT all the time, and i battle with it with my dad and my brother. We spent all day yesterday only on Eiger reverse with the Integra and it was sooo intense(too bad we couldn't get below 1.18). For all these guys who say TT is boring, believe me, challenge someone else and fun will never end.

Not boring, just not as intense or fun as a race. If your challenging others, it does make all the difference but, I would still rather be in a private race and competing head to head. This would be infinitely more exciting than chasing a ghost.

time trial mode and ranking in online is the most exiting option PD put into gt5p...
i spend hours to play in such a mode...
now im focus in drift mode, and is very very nice...

Time trial can be quite addictive, I spent hours on them for the IFTC event (https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=208). But I still prefer online racing. Yes, there are a lot of punters, and a few glitches here and there, but the best moments I had in this game (by far) happened during online races. I've had multiple races decided by less than a tenth of a second, races where 3 cars came within the same second... this is unbeatable to me.
