I was just wondering what sort of times other people are getting in the lap behind the pace car around the 'Ring. I think this test may be something different for NTSC users, but I'm not entirely sure. The times for gold, silver and bronze are 9:00, 9:23 and 10:00 respectively so you should be able to tell if it is the same test or not. This should give me an idea of how I compare to other players here.

I got a 9:17.676, it was my first complete lap on the 'Ring. I was pretty impressed with that, but I'm sure a lot of you are much faster than me.

9'02".56 on my first completion. Yay for gold :).

I got just over nine minutes thirty seconds. And I got 7 minutes 57 seconds on the final s license test which is on nurburgring.

When I get more than 2 and a half minutes into it before hitting or passing the pace car, I will let you know. ;)

I managed it in about nine and a half minutes on my second attempt (overtook the pace car on the first). I took it very carefully, because up until that test, I'd only gone around the Nurburgring once before and I didn't want to screw up after 8-9 minutes and do the whole thing again.

I got silver the first lap I actually finished and gold the 2nd time by about a second, and I really have no desire to go back and try to improve on my "don't ram the retarded Skyline for 9 minutes" performance. The pace car does make it easier to do without actually knowing the course, though.

I'm working on S-16 and I'm still 11 sec out of gold, but I really don't know the 2nd half of the course. It's definitely the most fun license test.

The first time i did it i didnt go extremely all out cause i just wanted to get it out of the way and not go in the grass, that time i got a 9.05. Then i just did it again last night cause my memory got corrupted, this time i went all out and i got a 8.5xx... i think it was a 8.53 or something, i was pretty happy with that.

8:57 on my first complete lap (Gold).

I bought an EVO II Merc prior to this (straight from the dealer; ASM=TCS=0), and I did an 8:32 on my second lap, but the (early braking) pace car in the license test makes it so much slower....

i gave up, called my friend (he cant drive) but he was less agressiv then me and passed it in his first try with 9'38.278

that really impressed me

I blew by the darn skyline and hit a wall the first time, 2nd time I stayed with him untill half course, then blew by him once I got the chance. Pulled a 8.59 I was like WAHOO!

You can pass the pace car. He kep[t doing soooo slow on the straights...... I liked the test with the Nissan R92CP the most. ON IA-16 or 17 I think. So far. i have been able to pass every license test the first try. But, now I get to do the Super License. Off to play GT4

I was so angry at the pace car, first lap (I've driven the ring a fair bit before) and I got 9'01.Xxx and I knew exactly where I could have gone faster but that damn pace car!

I've gone 8'47.769. Nearly passed the pace car a few times on accident, but got away with it. Really killed my exit speeds for a few corners, so there's definitely more time in it. Might go back and shoot for that 8'40 tonight.. saves putting miles on my garage car, anyway. That car is awesome for the 'ring.

Edit: After bumping the pace car a few times and re-learning his line, my first full lap around landed me with an 8'40.615, just .056 faster than Rudi Raser's time in the database linked above my post. My time is with the NTSC version.

Edit 2: After watching replay footage, I'm pretty sure there's an 8'35 somewhere in this test as I got horribly sideways landing 3 tires off the pavement on the sweeping downhill leading into Wehrseifen, opposite locked half of Karussell after bumping the pace car and put 3 tires off again (somehow?) forcing a drift into Wipperman. Couple of other poor entrances and exits to speak of, but it could've been a much better lap. Not quite sure how it didn't fail me those few times..

first complete lap behind it got gold & i cant quite remember but i think i just scraped into the 8 minute bracket. That pace car is a real slocuh on the straights and needs to get some balls when it comes to braking into fast corners

I got a lazy 9'41.344 I just cruised around, I hate Nurburgring so as long as I got Bronze i didn't care. I got a 7'43.011 on the S-16 Test though, and that was also just cruising.

Yes I just cared about getting the liscense not bothered about getting golds, So I just cruised and just got about a few milliseconds under silver :-)
