Chaahlie Murphy! Hey, welcome to GTP, rickjames! I built the Tamiya Skyline V-Spec II R34 a few weeks ago. It's a great kit, but the wheels don't look that good stock when you put them on the model. I sprayed them with Tamiya Primer (Gray) and then painted them with a mix of Titanium, Steel, and black to make them look darker. I only use acrylic paints, from either Tamiya or Model Master Acryl (by Testors). My best tip for you, if you don't already know, is to spray EVERYTHING you plan to paint with Tamiya Primer first. For the body, if you're painting it black or silver, use Gray primer. For any other color, use the Gray first and then use the White, which is finer. It will make your colors look way better, believe me!

Post some progress pics if you can, and feel free to ask any questions because I'm happy to help!

Yeah. The modelshop here had nomore Porsche 911 GT3's left either. The owner had to have one sent there for me. Hopefully when I come home from work tommorow it'll be on the table for me.

You should give us some updates on your progress if you have a digital camera, I'd like to see what it looks like. What color have you decided on for the body? Personally, I would have gone with black.

I am posting pics as I go. They won't be in this thread though. Look in my sig. The first link you see saying "My baby (Don't laugh)". That's where the pics are gonna be. I posted some already.:)
