Best i can do on 2-4 is silver by about 0.9 secs off gold. Any tips. I am using a T500, manual, Abs 3, ASM.
Cheers!

Jesus, turn off ASM quick. I'm sure you will make gold then
ABS 3 is probably slowing you slightly aswell. ABS 1 is fine.

I kept oversteering without it! You are talking to someone who races with SRF always on!

If you oversteer too much, then try braking earlier and keep your acceleration smooth until in the begining of the turn.
Try to turn off ASM, really. You get used soon and finally will be faster, it's just practice.

Hmm, ASM although it may help keep control it slows you.
I'm nearly 100% sure i would struggle to make gold on 2-4 with ASM.

You must be gentle, do what you must to take a smooth line,
Modulate your acceleration or Coast to keep your car from oversteering.

i guess that beside what PR1VETJOKER said your solution is just practice.

Thanks for the advice guys!

Try to use top10 ghosts and follow them.

That's likely to be a hindrance at this stage; you don't need a top ten time, just a gold time.
With a bit more practice, a top ten time may be assailable, but for now follow the racing line and be smooth.

Lol, the guy is trying to get gold, he's miles off understanding driving techniques used by the top 10.... sorry to say it like this Scottish, but you have a lot of practicing/learning to do with that beautiful T500 of yours.

Brake early, you want to get on the gas as soon as possible. Turn on the driving line and enable Traction Control (To say 5). Also try a higher setting of ABS, Like say 4 - ABS is personal preference.

I ran with ABS 1 and ASM off. Learn to induce instead of react. If you react, you're already too late. If you induce the car's tendencies, you'll be golden.

Just be gentle, the car is going to rotate itself, wait for the car to make the first move then adjust to it.

Also remember to keep to the inner most part of the turn. Try not to oversteer, and try keeping your line smooth. When you get to the slight "S" bend, don't brake or you'll go crazy, let off the throttle, turn a little early, then get back on it (try not to use full throttle/brake all the time until you get the hang of it). One last tip is to keep one gear higher than the one recommended, BUT don't let your RPMs get too slow or you'll get sluggesh.

brake in straight lines until you start getting a better feel for it - start turning a little earlier than you think you need to - and let off the brakes a little earlier than you think you need to - it can help bring the back around sometimes :)

and yeah, like evryone says, everything off except abs 1

Whenever you have a series of alternating curves, you want to work to hit a very late apex on all of them, otherwise you will get behind and find yourself off line for the rest of the section. Use all the road you can, turn in early, but progressively so that you hit a later apex than if you were just taking the curve by itself. This will allow you to continue to hit late apexes until the last curve which is a bit more of a traditional apex.

I had a few tries with the controller on this yesterday and no issue to get gold, so indeed it is no matter of settings to keep control (I actually drifted a bit) it is keeping it smooth and not brake a lot.

Wait till the cones slalom will come as the video promises, it will be subtle brake and steering that will make you fast, together with the "right" throttle input.

It doesn't always have to be 100% braking either. Very small amounts of braking during turn-in or mid-turn can help you. It takes a smooth control of the throttle. My first try with my other PSN gave me 32.450 by just doing that.

i always get anxious on the last turn when i see the finish, usually oversteering out and across the line :(

sure, but on that last turn i always feel like i need to get on the gas ASAP even if it means crossing the line with two wheels

Hand brake, gave my time -0.5 I'm now 32.022 with plenty of room for improvement.

Continuous S bends at Eifel IIRC.

Thanks guys I managed Gold by 1.5 secs I think!
