Tips for F1500T-A GT League events

I've seen a few posts in the forum about getting to grips with this beast (and beauty too) and thought some might find it helpful to have some tips as to how to win the 3 GT League professional events.

As with the equivalent events in previous games, I found it nigh on impossible for me to win with stock settings.

I dropped the top speed down to 180mph using the Transmission and found that, although you lose top end up speed, particularly at Suzuka, that is more than made up for by the increased acceleration and the time you make up at corners.

You still have to drive a reasonably clean race at a decent speed, if you make any significant mistake you won't get it back, but with 180mph I won with a few seconds to spare.

The other tip I have is to come at these races fresh. I did one a day Friday to Sunday. They are pretty intense at that speed so I don't think more than 2 runs at a time is a good idea. Plus you'll psych yourself out after that.

Hope this is of assistance to someone.

Plus I hope they add more races to this event so I can try out more of the billion liveries that went up for this car in the last few days :D:lol:

All you need to know on winning in this car is to always keep the car in 3rd or higher. Yes, for every turn, NO exeptions 👍 Happy driving!

I found Sukuka the one race that was easy to win first time out just use the downforce throu the corners and commit the AI cars cant cope wit you also fiddle with the gear ratios abit, Interlargos was tuff as its a track im not very good at, but did manage a gold after a few runs, I need a setup for Brandshatch as I only got 3rd and did not tune the car and noticed 2 cars running away from the pack.

Lets hope for the 90s Formula One car next ;) or fantasy cars based on the Ferrari F1 Cars from GT5 ;)

Those two at the front do run away with the Brands Hatch race. When I won the event, I had passed them before the end of lap 6. I think they must jump ahead after that. So I would think if you are not close to them by the end of lap 6/7 you are unlikely to catch up.

The issue I had with that race was getting past the other 13 "blockers" quick enough. I used the same settings for all 3 races though.
 
I had zero issues with these races, won all of them with a huge gap :boggled:
I had more trouble keeping an A110 behind me driving a stock C3 Vette in the Sunday Cup Maggiore race :lol:
 
A really good tip is to be confident...find this car's limits and make it your own. If you aren't used to driving F1 cars then you really need to find out for yourself just what this car can do through fast corners.
 
I'm really struggling on the Brands Hatch race. I've managed 7th as a best effort. I won the other two at first attempt, but I've had three attempts at Brands and had a 7th, an 8th, and a 13th! Really not finding this event very enjoyable when I keep getting run off track...
 
I found all the races were easy to win EXCEPT Suzuka. I won the other races first time except Suzuka. Still haven't won there.
 
I was able to do interlagos with racing softs, TCS 2. It was fairly easy because the AI either overshoots corners or brakes too early. With the f1 car you can really brake super late and still make the turn.

This is why I started this thread as I felt that people were struggling on some of these races and the hope that we can help as a group.

Are you running on racing softs and with the top speed cut to 180mph ? It makes a big difference to the acceleration.
 
Love these races. I've started doing them for the $$$. Also, I like making F1 liveries and running them in this series. My advice is to up the downforce for BH circuit. I like the suggestion to use 3rd gear and higher; though I sometimes drop to 2nd, but I've re-worked my transmission. You'll find your rhythm eventually and start to have fun at some point.

No idea how you achieve those gear ratios. They aren't an option for me. I'll try the other settings though and tune the gearbox down to 300kph.

The gearbox works good for that track, took the lead on lap 6 and stayed in front all the time :).

I think you do, as you do with the Suzuka back straight near the end of the lap but any disadvantage you get on these sections, you catch up before the next turn (turn 1 at Brands) and the rest of the lap you get the advantage of the increased acceleration.
 
Just do some time trial practice, once you get to grips with F1500 and can run reasonable pace you will win easily, AI is really slow and I'm nowhere near being fast in GTS
Also don't do that 180mph thing in Suzuka, I think there is more to lose than gain this way
 
I have to agree with the post above ^ Standard tune was absolutely fine, allowed me to catch the leader by lap 4 on my first attempt for all three.
With the really unusual "lumpy" massive-turbo power band, I wouldn't want to touch the gearbox unless I knew what I was doing.

These races especially Brands (and it's thin width) demand concentration because of how much the car unexpectedly understeers through slower corners. You really need to get an early turn in, to get at least somewhere near the apex, otherwise you crawl around the corners. Also if you don't try and be a hero and overtake everyone as quick as possible* you can methodically work your way through the cars. If you come off the track you lose loads of time and about 2-3 places so you do need to be careful.

*This is what I was foolishly doing. I was having flashbacks of Martin Brundle in commentary saying how in F1 you have to keep up the momentum and pass people immediately as you get up to them otherwise you get bogged down at their pace...

There is a tab for it in the game's settings that allows you to join the metric masterrace :lol:
 
I love this car! I know tuning helps, but it’s not required to win the race. I did it using default settings, no TCS and hard tires.

I’ll leave my lap video here. Be super smooth with driving inputs and remember the turbo lag, specially bellow 3rd gear.

^Not really IMO, it understeers in slow corners on its own, 3rd would make it even worse, car is not so hard to control, you can use 2nd in some corners easily, sometimes even 1st around apex's of slow corners and then you may just short shift if you want to.
