Quick question.

Does the grip lower at night?

Doing the 24h enduro and my braking points now have to be even further back it is quite hard with the track having 100% water on it.

I would imagine it has to do with the water, not nighttime.

Man doing the le mans 24h in a Ferrari 330 P4 is bloody hard with no TCS and having a fully wet track(but the wet track is why i am 2.5 laps infront of an Audi R10)

I am 6h:30m in and it has been raining since the start and it is pitch black.

I just wish I knew what time it is during the race.

You can use the suspend option when going into the pits, which will allow you do shut down the system and restart the race when you start GT5 again.

I am doing this with out suspending it, in the end if I win I will have a massive replay file.

That shouldn't be too hard.. Since people say that after around 5-6 hours nighttime comes in, which would make sense since the real Le Mans 24 hour race starts at 16:00h, so in your race it should be 22.30h, meaning you still have around 7 more hours in the night.:)

Night = cool ground = less grip

Day = warm ground = more grip. Surely?

I always thought a cooler track allowed more grip as long as the ambient temperature doesn't drop too low so that the tyres cant reach optimum temperature.

Actually Le Mans starts at 1500h in recent years. Unfortunately in GT5 the starting time seems to be random - they're been reports of people experiencing night just an hour into the race.

Back to the topic of tires, does anyone else notice that just after resuming a suspended night race, grip seems unnaturally great until you pit again. Makes me wonder if PD built that in to "ease us back into the car" after a break from racing...

I'm not exactly sure how much will be captured for a replay or if a replay is even available after a 24-hour Endurance race, but I do know that the entire race will not be available for replay when you finish. Just FYI.

I guess this is true if you live in a hot country like Spain. If you live in a colder country then night time should have no difference in grip compared to day time. I think it's where it takes place which determines how much grip you lose at night.

Its not available for saving replays
