If your aggressive driving style is effecting your smoothness. You absolutely will not be going faster.
Every single little disruption in a car fluidly going forward will cost you time, I was lucky enough to see aderrrm run a 30 some lap practice race, I learned a few things... some of them being my consistency sucked, my setup sucked, and smoothness is the key to being fast in this game, along with using every millimeter of legal surfaces to straighten the corners out.
At one point it was just him an another fighting for the lead, every time his opponents car stepped out a tad, or went just ever so slightly wide, he would pull farther and farther away.
Aggressive driving eats the tires also. Try running 16+ lap stints on nurb gp/f in gt500 cars on racing hards with your last lap of the stint being within a second if your fastest lap. Then after you pulled that off, try and get a 1:54.7xx (<- i think) with a PURE league spec calsonic GTR. Smoothness + racing line + setup is everything in a game as sensative as this. Good luck, this race was a month ago and I'm still stuck in the 55's with the superior HSV.
