I found the code to see how much grip the tire the AI use.

05 is farthest opponent.

This is what I know so far about what tire the AI use:
Sunday Cup & clubman cup = normal tire
345hp Mid engine challenge = Sports tire
591hp Mid engine challenge = Sports tire
Muscle car cup = sports tire
394hp pure sport car = sports tire
591hp pure sport car = hard tire

591hp grand touring = medium tire
tune NA no 1 = hard tire
Gran turismo all stars = supersoft tire
super touring trophy = medium tire
GT300 = supersoft tire
GT500 = supersoft tire
197hp japan national = sports tire
295hp japan national = sports tire
345hp japan national = sports tire
GT Euro league = medium tire
GT World league = supersoft tire
Grandvalley 300km = mixed, hard to soft
apricott hill 200km = sports tire
seattle 100miles = mixed, normal to sports

trial mountain 30 lap = normal tire
rome circuit 2 hr = medium tire
laguna 200 = medium tire
altezza cup, normal = normal tire
altezza cup, racing = sports tire

AI hp on post no 6

I always wondered what type of tire was used by the AI. Sometimes it seems like they were using Normal tires, other times, it seemed they had adequate grip from using race tires.

Great work, sucahyo.

Yeah, that helps a lot. 👍 My GT2 days are few nowadays but I'll keep these stats. I may put them on my website if you don't mind.

Ok. Just ask if you need other track info :).

edit:
I kinda figure out how to know the AI car hp, I found the AI car multiplier address. It seems on every race GT2 will try to balance the car power by increasing weak car power.

On VW Beetle race where all car have the same power, all AI have the same multiplier.
same power on normal cup.

higher power on racing cup.

1000 equal to 100% of original (standard) hp.

On BMW race, the power multiplier is higher for slower car:
Code:

SEE!!! I knew the power got upped in the race-mod version of the manufacture races. That's why I always give myself either a stage 1 NA or turbo for these. :sly: I've noticed for GT4 races if you click on "preview" instead of just entering the race, it will give you the power of a single AI car. Preview the same race a few more times and it's obvious the game is being kept within a certain power range. I guess this is the way it goes for all Gran Turismo games.

Yes, although on some small carrace stage 1 turbo a bit too much.

race car or car with no power upgrade seem all use 100% power.

I see.

So if a Venturi gets 1080 to race at the Grand Valley 300km, what is the final horsepower? How does that work or do you know yet?

Also, what is the multiplier for a GT40 at Apricot Hill 200km? What is the multiplier for a Shelby Series 1 in the Seattle enduro?

I race against AI few times using "AI have our car power" code. I race few time by trying different multiplier. It seems the final hp of AI car = stock car hp X multiplier.

So in case of Venturi with 1080 multiplier it would be = 405hp X 1.080 = 437.4hp

Also, what is the multiplier for a GT40 at Apricot Hill 200km? What is the multiplier for a Shelby Series 1 in hte Seattle enduro?

Apricot Hill 200km, all sports tire:
1130 Shelby GT350 '66
1010 TVR Griffith 500
1250 Lancer Evolution VI GSR '99
1000 Aston Martin DB7 COUPE
1130 Ford GT40
1240 BMW 840Ci

Seattle 100miles - multiplier, tire, car:
1530 150 Plymouth Cuda '70
1420 150 Camaro SS '97
1390 150 Shelby Series 1
1560 150 Camaro Z28 Coupe '97
1040 145 Plymouth Superbird
1050 145 Plymouth Muscle Car

That is so cool, bro. I wish i had this info 2 or 3 years ago when I was more heavily into GT2 👍

Good work, I must say.
I've always wondered: What were the power ratings of the GT All Stars cars? Particularly the ones at Red Rock Valley with the GT40 that destroys everything else in the race.
Also, what is the power multiplier for the Tuned Turbo Cup at the Test Track?

GT All stars, Redrock valley, super soft tire:
1000 Toyota GT-ONE '99
1010 Nissan R390 GT1 '97
1040 Lotus Elise GT1
1000 Alfa 155 Touring Car
1300 Ford GT40 Race Car
1000 Venturi Atlantique 600 LM

No wonder Ford GT so powerfull .

Tuned Turbo No.1, Test Track, soft tire:
1980 Tom's Supra
1430 Mine's Lancer Evolution V
1000 Mine's R32.5 Skyline GT-R
2260 Mazdaspeed RX-7 A-spec'96
2110 Toyota Altezza 280T
1000 HKS Drag 180SX

I know...that Ford GT40 is one hell of a fighter, too.

Say what about the GT40 in the Historic Race at Rome? That's the one that TAKES OFF

Historic car, rome circuit:
1000 145 Lancia Stratos
1560 145 Lotus Europa
1000 165 Ford GT40
1890 145 Lotus Elan S2 '64
1560 145 Lotus ELAN S4 Sprint '71
1270 145 Toyota 2000GT GT '68

GT40 have normal power, but have racing tire while everyone else using normal tire. That car is cheating .

Man no wonder that GT40 smokes them all at Rome. I always assumed the GT40 got so far ahead since it has downforce and better tires & suspension....

How about Historic/Grindelwald? How about World cup and GT300? sorry I keep asking for more.

No problem :).

1800 150 Lancia Stratos

GT world League
1000 175 Lotus Elise GT1
1000 175 Viper GTS-R Team Oreca
1000 175 Audi TT LM Edition
1000 175 Alfa 155 Touring Car
1000 175 Toyota GT-ONE '99
1300 175 Ford GT40 Race Car

GT300
1000 175 Momo Corse Apex MR2 GT
1000 175 Cusco Subaru Impreza GT'99
1000 175 BP Apex Kraft Trueno GT
1000 175 Zanavi Arta Silvia GT '99
1000 175 Taeivon Trampio FTO '99
1000 175 Weds Sport Celica GT

The first column is multiplier, the second column is tire grip.
Tire grip usually:
145 = Normal
150 = sports
160 = hard
165 = medium
170 = soft
175 = super soft

There some exception on most race car (LM, GT, rally car etc). For example, Ford GT, even though sport tire have tire grip of 150, normal tire have the same grip as medium racing tire!

So, if you need to handicap yourself when using race car, use sports tire. normal tire is not a handicap if you use race car.

What about the MR Cup race at Red Rock where the GT40 walks the Vector with double the power?
It must be the tires; the other cars can't handle worth a damn through that first turn. I'm usually in 2nd place by the exit of that first banked turn, if the GT40 Road Car shows up there.

Again, awesome work, Sucahyo.

Thanks :).

here, MR Cup race at Red Rock:
1000 150 Vector M12
1610 150 Acura NSX Type S Zero
1260 150 Lotus Esprit V8 SE
2210 150 Lotus Motorsport Elise
1450 150 Ford GT40
1000 150 Wiegert Vector W8 Twin Turbo

All Ai use sport tire, and I think Ford GT40 use stage 1 NA upgrade. Maybe GT40 become so powerfull because Ford GT40 is a lot lighter and the W8 only has 3 gear..............

Other thing weird is the multiplier for motorsport elise. With 200hp stock a 2210 multiplier will make it have 442hp !

Other thing about race car, even with the same tire grip value, race car will have better grip because it usually has bigger tire diameter. So I guess this what make Motorsport Elise inferior to Ford GT40, even with better power to weight ratio. Maybe for Vector too since Vector seems categorize as road car.

Full race cars often have racing suspension and downforce too. Vectors have good downforce but you can't adjust it, which makes it not handle as well as others.

Hey I got one for ya! How about the FF cup at Tahiti? I always wondered why the Renault Clio 16v can keep up with the rest of the Ai even tho if I buy my own Renault, I can put maybe 128 hp at the most. I always assumed it was PD messing up like they forgot to give us engine upgrades.

Also, the '82 Toyota Starlet and Nissan March in the 80's races? Those little cars boogy!

I know. Well I just clicked on the red arrow (several of them) so let's all do the same. I think you only need like 100 red arrows.

 , I don't think I enjoy a mod's job too :).

But still, I'm suprised that sucahyo doesn't have one of those Green "Quality Posts" Badges yet. He most definately deserves one IMO.
Thanks, I would love that badges :).

Thanks :D. Just knowing that make me feel happy already :).

Full race cars often have racing suspension and downforce too. Vectors have good downforce but you can't adjust it, which makes it not handle as well as others.
It is possible to see what downforce setting the AI uses too. It seems the AI will always use default setting.

FF car, Tahiti Road:
1000 145 Mirage Cyborg-ZR '97
1210 145 Volkswagen Golf GTI 1.8T
1220 145 Renault Megane 2.0 16V
1060 145 Peugeot 306 S16
1070 145 Honda del Sol SiR '95
1640 145 Renault Clio 16V

You are right about the Clio 16V! with 1640 multiplier, it will have 173hp! Do this value has some relation to the power displayed in dealer (171hp)?

80's sports car, 197hp Trial Mountain:
1000 145 Mazda RX-7 GT-Turbo '83
2080 145 Toyota Starlet Turbo S '82
1340 145 Nissan March SuperTurbo'89
1070 145 Toyota MR2 1600G-Ltd.'86
1160 145 Toyota Corolla Levin '83
1160 145 Toyota Corolla Trueno '83

PD also boost starlet and march power, still at achievable power upgrade though.
