isent there any serious guys racing the f2007 car online at daytona road track almost every one takes short cuts so they dont have to brake inn the fast corners...

even the fuiji track are there guys that takes the short cut over the gras..

whats the fun in cheating

its fun to win but not if i have taken short cuts to do soo..

come one guys try to get better instead of taking shortcuts

Theyre probably use to Midnight Club and Need for Speed... Dont pay any attention to it... as long as you know youre a good racer! 👍 I use to get worked up about it too... but if they cheat in order to win then theyre not worthy...

Indeed people who cheat in Online Races have Need For Speed & Midnight Club in mind lol. If you know your a good racer keep at it 👍 People will notice you are and sometimes people will even say Goodrace. Keep up the good racing at least you can justify yourself when one time you cross the line 1st even if you've had a hard time getting there 👍

well, on Fuji the shortcut usually doesn't gain them that much time, so it's pretty useless..

I disagree, the ones that cut both turn 2 and the first part of the hairpin/chicane can gain around 1sec/lap, especially in a close race. If they're fast, it gives them the edge.

Not to mention the ones that cut the hairpin/chicane often go right across my path to do so, if I've got a run up the inside of someone behind them.

I always try to race clean, or at least by the rules. By that, I mean I let 2 wheels go off on the chicanes on Daytona, but I never kick up the dirt and just ride straight over the grass like I see everyone else do. I'll occasionally come across someone that drives nicely, but it's rare indeed. Same goes for 800pp on Fuji F.

Sell you,r GT5, AND bay Ferrari Challenge. Ther is the good driver, cher mat:)

Recently was racing at Fuji pro 800,I noticed he cut the chicane on backstretch. So I really pushed to catch him on approach to chicane took away his cheating line into chicane so with his entrance blocked onto grass watched him sail into barriers with glee.:sly:

I thought it was a 205MPH curve in the track. you mean it is a chicane?

People cut and cheat almost on every circuit ive played on, they will bump you off at times as well. Kind of lame if you ask me but thats something you cant control. It's kind of weird that they didn't come up with private rooms from the begining...I guess there is no way to be able to join a friend and race together online right now, its pretty much random.

Reminds me of my days in software development. One of the things testers often forget about is human nature -they'll make sure the SW works when used sensibly, but don't have "typical" users on the team (i.e. the equivalent of punters and corner-cutters). Maybe we should send PD a list of punters and cutters who can be invited onto the the test team...and unwittingly help get the penalties right for the way they drive!

I hate it too. But they make me cheat too. Cuz it is not so possible to win without cheating on that track. If you are lucky you can do good but those god damn cheaters dunno how to drive and crash in to you if they sense that they cant pass you. One of em made a hard brake while i was drafting him and i went out of the track as a sense of not crashing into him. This is wierd. We need real racers.

It depends on physical engine of the game. If real F1 car stomp fully into grass, it'll probably upset the car and it will spin wildly. Drivers in real F1 cars are even barely touching the rubber strips around the curves in tendency not to upset the car. We'll see how physical engine development continues in this area in the future...

You re half correct on that. Yes entering the grass on that speed will effect an F1 car and it also does in GT5, but if we look at the speeds done on the grass, it would be fatal for such car in the real life. You would probably lose your front spoiler if it happens. But we must not forget that GT5 doesnt have a damage modeling. Thats why you can enter the grass, lose your grip, try to control your ride an if you are lucky or skillful enough yo can get out without any problem.
No matter what they say but i want to race with stronger and more experienced drivers. Especially fare players.

I raced all day, and everyone raced the same way, gas on the floor through the bus stop. it is a public game so when in Rome, I am going to eat Italian. you guys need to loosen up a bit and stop trying to police the world. when the game add penalties at that corner or damage is added it will change MUCH in the game and online racing will go on

well the only thing that is going to set this straight is by haveing privat roms if some one is cheating its just to kick them from the room
easy as that..
but untill that happens whe maby have to live with what we have or like this one guy said play another game instead untill it is fixed

That's why I race mostly at Suzuka, cheaters don't have much to cut there.lol

All you cheaters moaning about cutting the chicane only to go on and say you do it too. I have raced this event many times but, I refuse to cut the chicane as it just takes the fun and point out of it. It also makes winning that little bit sweater knowing you beat a bunch cheaters but, thats me, you guys just join in.

Guess I won't look forward to seeing you guys out there.

Let them cheat , at least I feel good when the race is over knowing I ran a good clean race , reguardless of what position I come in .

One more point. It is also fun to do what they do and let them follow me 15sec back of me. :D Most of them dunno how to drive tho. :)

What makes me laugh is that you guys moan because they take shortcuts that YOU can also use.

Why bring your level of competition down to their level , if you finish second , and the guy in front of you finished first , (only by shortcuting) , you should feel pretty good about it , knowing that you did it cleanly .

Btw , you would not shortcut if you were doing a GTP qualifier , because you know it is not allowed and would be vetoed out of the event if you got caught , so just do it to the best of your skills and be happy with it . 👍

I did the funniest race ever. I made a clean race against cheaters and won. But the point is that at the end of the race there was 17secs between me and the second and the rest was not able to finish in the given time after race ends.
It was really funny to watch them trying to cheat and crash into the wall.
I dunno how they did but all of them sticked to the wall in the first lap :D
I wish we were able to take SS

Like I said before , it can be done cleanly , so why lower your standards to theirs. 👍

I seem to remember penalties for cutting corners a while back. What the hell happened to them?

Maybe I'm wrong, and am getting GT5:P mixed up with F1:CE

No in F1CE you actually get a penalty for corner cutting.:dunce:

Whats wrong with racing and mowing the grass at the same time?
lol
