I've rolled through the posts and seen some new people liking stuff! So if your new and lerking in the shadows come on out, we are friendly people. If your interested in joining us see page 1 post 3 for the first enduro event. You will need to get friends request to tiger so he can get you in room when we start up Sunday night. The driving level of this group ranges all over the place, so don't hesitate to join us. We all practice together and tune together. We don't hide much from one another, pretty open group here! Sunday night getting closer!
 
Holy Lord this game is _______.
(I'm not sure what I'd even say... I'm grinning ear to ear even though I know I have 147 things to calibrate - and whatever the last thing I just did was THE WORST possible choice)

I got my gaming PC today and have been diving in....

Everything thing is a disaster, nothing drives right, nothing feels right, triple monitors don't work, nothing is right...
And there is overly dramatic music blaring at 500w in my ears...


But yet I'm in heaven.....

....and gaming purgatory at the same time!!!!!

This is not a drinking and driving game!!!!!!!!!

This game might be the most stupidly awesome thing ever....

Sad I can't race with you all... Will keep you posted of my PC madness and any help on how to spend the first week in the game is welcome.......
 
Dont be mad ole i found a superb group of racers allready. just had a 25laps race around silverstone in the formula gulf. Were i fought my way back from 20th place to third. With really nice driving. We got a few problems in the few corners but its hard to avoid with a 25man field of open wheel cars going into a superfast right hander.
 
Ole congrats! Get with arveena in a pm. He has a good headstart in this game plus he can get you involed with a group to race with. He has helped us with some tricks n tips to get started, absorb his knowledge!
 
Thx man.... If I'm 8th on the Brands Hatch leaderboard after 6-7passes = lots of people must be struggling!!!

So I'm going to be patient....

After every race I shake my head at how awesome this is........
And going from 3 monitors to 1 is sooooooo bad!!!!!! But I'm still in heaven.....

I jacked up so many settings it will take me a few months to get this dialed in I'm sure.....

Soooo hard coming from gt6....
Where you just recover from a mistake.... Here... You're DONE if you goof up... Here you can't even get it in reverse or start the car back up if you screw up....

SO GREAT!!!

Hopefully I can find as good a group of fellows to run with on PC....

I'll stop by from time to time to see what you guys are working through....

My weapon of choice for sun nights main event. Wish i could change my # to 77??? Either way i love this car, its a challenge to drive and if you fall asleep on her she will show you the closest wall to wake you up!
 
Ok gentlemen.
Our first race is fast approaching.
If you want to practice without everyone monitoring your session. You can.
When creating your own room turn the human drivers down to 1.
Note: This will let you create the room, but it won't let you start the session because the game is going to wait for THAT additional human driver.
To work around it.

Add AI drivers. Doesn't matter how many.
The important thing is to set a session before going straight to the race.
In other words the AI want some time on the track too.

I suggest at a minimum 5 minutes for a practice session.
So now you have your own practice room without someone sneaking in and watching you...
If you find someone lurking outside the door. You can still invite that person in without creating a new room.

You never know who's out there.

And dont forget never give up. I have a video for Ole. This is the kind of race you are going to get in a league. Most of the time without the horrendous lagg. I got smashed into place 18 and drove back to the podium finishing third.
So dont quit if you get hit ever :lol:




by the way if someone wants a video of a track/car combination. I will do it and go for the P1 in the leaderboard all the time.

Is that debris all over the track ?? I'm watching on my cell phone and it looks like tires and stuff laying in the track!! Nice run!! Can't wait to put some more time in today....
 
Its a fictional copy of the real circuit.
Could that change in the future? Who knows. Project Cars is getting a lot of attention that may change track owners opinion about allowing their circuit to be included in Project Cars.

Alright gentlemen
We are within the 24hours before our first race.
Like smcinnis mentioned. We will probably run into a few bugs.
Take them with stride and press on. Slightly Mad Studio is working them as best they can.

What's important is we enjoy this game to its full potential.

Things to keep in mind:
-You can get penalized if you try and jump onto the track too early after a pit stop.
I was hoping to post some pictures, but if you followed my posts in GT6 you know why I did it.
To prepare you for Project Cars. ;)
-Respect the AI. Plan your passing wisely. Learn to time your move. Either slow down early at a corner and build up speed to over take them at the next corner or draft and hope for a clean pass. ;)
-Make the best of your qualifying session.
-Take care of your car first.
-There are no ghosts in Project Cars. :eek: If you hit someone.
Expect a collision and the rest of the pack passing you.

Finally, Project Cars will not reward you or save you for making mistakes.

This ain't NO GT6 ;)

Just doing a check in here, I don't have the game or a wheel yet, but I'm watching. Also don't forget, tomorrow if you want to watch Spinning Arrows in the next GTP Endurance race, it'll start at 8 am Eastern. Driver order is myself, Alex, and then Fan.
