Leno does this sort of thing all the time. Apparently it doesn't take long walking around on the street to find someone stupid. If 10% of the population were that dumb, you'd only have to ask 10 people before you found one to give you a bunch of clips. Then the trick is to play all of the clips mixed up so that it's not clear exactly how many people you interviewed.

Actually...Central and South america, and most likely the carribean, consider themselves "americans", and thus why they resent the usurpation of the term by the US.

we come off as "that stupid" because we teach a General cirriculum, rather than specializations and going by a person's natural leanings, go to school MUCH less than the rest of the world, and have all the time in the world to vegitate when we DO get time off from work. believe me, your education drains out of your brain when your too busy trying to pay 10 zillion bills by working your butt off 7 days a week, and only wanna come home and sleep, or on days of, go straight into Zombie mode.

We all learn history and geography at some point in our education, so there's really no excuse for how stupid some of these people are. A 'general' curriculum hasn't stopped people from getting a great education, and once in high school (depending on where you are) you have plenty of freedom to choose classes that focus on your specializations to get you ready for college. What you do with that vegetation time is what's important.
