for the xbox players, do you think that the PGR series is better than the GT series? do you think there is any raceing game better than GT on the xbox console?

PGR has a slew of exotic cars but the racing gets boring after a while. My roomate has PGR3 for his 360 and I ended up going back and playing NFS: Most Wanted on my PS2. From what I've seen Forza Motorsport comes the closest to GT. The thing I like about Forza is that they include a lot of race cars from SCCA which haven't made it into GT yet. They also allow you to customize the exterior of your car unlike GT. If there's one thing GT needs it's a damn paint shop. God I hate spending hours reracing the same events just to get a car in the color I want. I don't know how many times I raced the Hot Rod event to get my Cranberry Red LS-6 Chevelle only to get every other color including like 6 Champagne Gold ones first. LAME.

Forza has a lot of features missing from GT and IMO it would be wise for Sony to copy Forza by including much of what GT has chosen to omit. Forza also contains Ferraris and Porsches and IIRC F2 will features Lamborghinis as well. 3 marques desperately needed in the GT series.

However, racing games on the Box aren't great.

Nothing matches GT4 on the Xbox. Anyone claiming otherwise is either full of "it" or a blind fanboy. 👎

The post above mine is dead-on about what Forza brings to the table. What he failed to mention though... Forza doesn't play as well or look as good as GT4.

Now, about your other Xbox options... Those aren't so bad. 👍
Problem is, you're only going to get the pgr/nfs sort of game. Arcade style and by arcade I mean noting close to GT4.

So, basically, is there a way to get a good game similar to GT4 on the Xbox? No.
I bought a Used Xbox several months ago and with it, Forza, PGR 1&2, DOA:U, Half-life2, and "From Russia With Love." Of that group, Forza was easily the worst game.

Btw, I'm not sure if this topic really goes here in the GT4 forum. It's a hard question since I doubt you will get any views of Forza that are as harsh as mine.
Thing is... Your subject is primarily Xbox and your actually looking for a GT replacement.

If your going to get a system get the 360.
Forza, PGR3, and Test Drive Unlimited make the xbox360 well worth the leap. You wont regret it and all of these games allow you to play online which is something GT4 doesnt allow you to do.
I would say they are all great games and really none are better than the other. Some just have options that the other games dont have. Eventually Forza 2 will be coming out so if you have a 360 by then you will definetly be happy.

If I was to consider to get a Xbox 360 for Forza 2, I would have to have a Force feedback 900 degree wheel (that is fully supported). Is there anything available like this for the 360 yet, or will there be?

PGR2 is a million times more enjoyable than GT4, though not as realistic, of course. 👍

Forza is neither more enjoyable nor more realistic than GT4. It just sucks. 👎
