oh my god, this is gonna be fantastic, this is a true rival to GT4 no matter what anyone says, 35 motorsports! holy ****! 100 circuits!! new story (woohoo) the screen of damage made me dribble, i need this now not november

This game sounds incredible. I hope that it turns out to be realistic and have a good variety of vehicles. I love the idea of a story based game. It just ads some more depth to the win a race get money model of GT4. Damage is a huge plus, but I really doubt that it will be done realisticly, I guess we will see though. I'm looking forward to this game.

Codemasters have been doing this for a long time now. They get so much better with age.

The damage on the F1 is nutz, does that mean corvettes will shatter like that too :).

it sounds nice .... and the graphic looks nice
hope they make the physics more sim as well

This might be an interesting buy since GT4 left the door open. Why did they make RD2 and this game so close together though?? :odd:

It wont be out untill Nov-Dec. well over a year since RD2. But then again look how many Colin Mcrae's that came over the span of 2 years. 3, 04, 05 in about 30 months.

besides, toca 2 came out much later on PS2 than on xbox and PC.

and Codemasters does almost yearly editions of their motorsport games sort of like EA and sega do with their sports games.

if the physics are tightened up and the damage is refined, this will be a definite buy for me. especially if it's priced competitively like codies games usually are (I got CMR 04 and Toca 2 for 40$ CAD.)

I've heard about the game when I was playing Toca 2 Online on PS2. I hope it will be more balanced in the online part.(In some series, the car seem to handle better with the wheel...)

So you are saying they should separate wheel users from controller users? Yes and no i guess? Online play was great in RD2 for PS2.

wtf. this game is going to have a real f1 car (williams BMW) and gran turismo has to use an f1 car based on the A1 GP(A1GP.com) car. come on PD spend a little bit of money.

I thought EA/EA Sports did...

Anyway, I'm definately getting this game! I played RD2 and fell in love with it. I love the story line, and the variety in series. One thing that I'm definately looking forward to in this one is the F1 car, as are most people... I'm also looking forward to the offroad races... I just can't wait till November, either...

👍 👍

If you choose to pursue a career as an open-wheel race driver, for example, you'll start out racing go-karts, and you'll have to prove yourself in Formula 1000, Formula BMW, and three events before you're even considered for a seat on the BMW Williams F1 team.

that is AWESOME

toca > GT for sure :)

OH MY GOD, Please say that is NOT a render and that is IS in game!!!

is that a lamborghini?

The one on the right looks like it is, the left one is a Koenig though not a Ferrari, I get those email newsletter things from Codemasters and that's what they said.

How is the physics model in Race driver 2, i haven't played it.. i've played the first Toca race driver, but then i didn't have a wheel, and i don't know, it feeled kinda arcady.. But i really like that story that follows you throug the game, i wish GT4 have that...
So, how is Race Driver 2 compared to GT4 in simulation terms.. the driving feel??

Rd2 is quite a bit more realistic than race driver 1 but it still feels sloppy off by a long shot in driving feel compared to gt4.
