TOCA INTERVIEWS #1 - The Two Champions.
21 wins and 802 points are shared by these two drivers. Two contrasting personalities, with different backgrounds, racing styles, and recent success. But also Two TOCA champions. This season Sumo098 and Driftking18594 are amongst the favourites as TOCA returns... what do they think of what lies ahead...?
So, its been a while since the end of Season 3, how has the off-season been?
DK: To be honest, crap. My FIA GT1 car is an absolute pig that munches tyres.
Sumo098: I've been a little less active recently, though I've been giving fairly solid performances across a small number of events. Just don't ask about Dax's Elise series...
TOCA has had another major rules overhaul this season with the banning of adjustable differentials, rear aero, and ABS. How do you think this has made the cars to drive and how do you think it will affect the racing?
DK: It's a good thing tyre wear is off, then! I think the ABS ban will make kamikaze dives a lot more interesting - is it worth locking up if you want to pass someone?
Sumo098: The lack of diff adjustment has made the car a bit understeery, otherwise all seems well. The lack of ABS is a surprise, but I fully support it. MORE DIFFICULTY SEPERATES THOSE OF TRUE POWER! ONLY SMALL FISH CAN'T DRIVE WITHOUT ABS!
What do you think of your car for this season?
DK: It's my first time using a FF as my main car (The Honda). It does suffer from a bit of wheelspin, but then again I guess it's the same for everyone on the track without an LSD.
Sumo098: It's the only FR in the lineup. This automatically makes it the best. Front wheel drive is foolish.
Who are going to be watching out for this season?
DK: Probably Sumo, akmuq and carracerptp. Akmuq seemed really fast in pre-season testing.
Sumo098: Akmuq mainly. Possibly Neljack, Dax and Carracer depending on their ability to drive without ABS.
You're both great TOCA champions, with fearsome reputations. Does that affect your thinking on track?
DK: I've never really thought about that.
Sumo098 But of course! I have a title to hold and IT SHALL NOT FALL IN A SINGLE SEASON! I fully intend to defeat DK's 2 series wins and achieve a hat trick supreme.
What car would you love to see in future in TOCA?
DK: Nissan Silvia S15.
Sumo098: Anything that send its power to the rear wheels. Perhaps an RX-8 would be nice. Dat rotary.
Spa, Cape Ring South, and night races at Le Mans make there debut this season. What are your thoughts?
DK: Cape Ring South is a bit tricky with that final hairpin. I've had a few offs when approaching it. 
Sumo98: Spa is good, Cape Ring South is better than Inside and Le Mans is something I associate with any of your races.
The original TOCA cars are the support series for this season, looking forward to it?
DK: Yes I am, it would be interesting. They seem really grippy!
Sumo098: Yessers. I like the Mazda 6 Touring Car. Though the main series takes top priority.
Any final words?
DK: Not really, no.
