Slightly odd that Hotdog got the same time, 4.30.964 (i think) and it didnt show on my timing..........

trying to get a tune from the same person who gave me a tune for the honda before we cancelled the season

08 - Chrisjohnson93 4:43.9 (MIN)

Fastest speed observed 170mph, Furinkazen (VW)

^^^ Not a good time... bad example of the fords capability.
I could get a 31.5 if I got a clean lap, and with a good tune 29s (but it would eat the tires).

Tyre wear off bud 👍

I reckon 31's a pretty good lap - I dont really like Le Mans in such slow cars, takes a long time and lots of errors could be made

Sumo lost 2 seconds in the final sector, I was 0.9 up at one point but lost that...

if i get a good tune i could get it down by around 1-2 secs.

furi didn't have a clean lap so he could of gone qucker

Its very difficult to get 100% perfect lap
Mine was like 90% but I felt the speed was slowing me down, as its more of a speed track then a handling so Im pretty pleased with that and I think theres still more to come out of that car 👍

Yep good setups help
And everyone is probably thinking they could of gone quicker:lol: - im sure no one got the perfect lap or perfect setup

I was screwing up under braking. Strawman was 10mph slower yet he still beat me, I have around 4 seconds to gain I think.

Yup its only testing though - everyone just tuning their cars and getting used to it 👍 Good turn out

my time was so far off as i didn't get any speed down the straights, everyone was at least 10mph quicker

I've got to say that either the Volvo is not that fast in a straight line or my set up is so far off its not funny.

Need a serious look at the Volvo as its pace is not good. 168 down the first third of the Mulsane straight but race pace was not bad.

That or I'm just really crap. Whichever it was Polestar has a lot to do.

I spent a while getting to grips from the Volvo, Akmuq won 5 races and I won 6 in it last season. Keep plugging away. And thanks to all for turning out tonight 👍

Also a note. If no entries are received by the time the week of the first race comes, I will take that spot away and put two independents in, so we will have 4 teams and 8 independents then.

:dunce: :dunce: :dunce: :banghead:

I was tuning to stop my self from eating the front tires up.

I'm OK with RWD cars, but I have a tendency to eat FWD cars tires.

And what is TOCA legends?

Ah well you know now - better then finding out when it actually starts

Volvo - its an odd car to drive, very aggressive but 168 is fast

I think stock Lotus Elises should be the support series, eh Sumo?

I'd be ok with that. I just hated the sports soft tyres in the series you ran. Far too much grip for the car.

Too much grip so you crashed?

:D

The car gets sideways at high speed, I don't think they were too grippy. They are similar tyres to what the Exige comes with in real life, so...

Actually the more grip you have, if it anything like the 86 series I was in, the more the car will want to spin (faster corner speeds).
I'm not sure if SS tires would be stock rubber on the elise.

So the support series is just a series that runs in the TOCA room before the race?

But we have to cater for the Carbonoxes of this parish.

And anyway, more grip= closer racing. 👍

But fellas, you don't need to make it easy now that I'm out due to Nationwide, you also gotta know that the no ABS part only made it definite that I'd stay in NASCAR. ;)

Okay.

ABS will make it a real challenge, so have fun with your ovals and try not to turn right.

Sssssshhhhhh... We're also doing road courses.

How about you come one day and attempt to finish on the podium in a 120 lap oval race, then talk about challenges. :D

As long as no one takes you out, it's not that hard.

It's not like real nascar where the packs are huge..
