You may want to listen to your own advice.

LMFAO, I wish I could be a mod so I can occasionally step in and make some snide remarks from my moral high horse. I only posted that because no mod told people to get the hell back on topic and stop crying because they set themselves up for disappointment by expecting GT5 salon to solve all their problems.

Some people on GTP are like chronic masochists, you'd think after 2 years, people would grow to get their expectations in check. Yes, it's going to be tokyo track again, no, there won't be mind blowing announcements, unless you count the night racing, weather being confirmed. But oh wait, surely those are old features since GTA already had them! People here don't even know what they want anymore. All they know is to whine about new features that they don't like.

This wouldn't happen if mods actually... moderated the discussion.

I assume some post got removed? What was it?!

Yulp, not much news out of TAS. But GT5 is making noise outside of the video game world, so I think that is a positive that has come about over the last week.

I know what I want, I want GT5:(

Once again, there is no reason to get so angry. Your attitude is the problem. This thread has been on topic. You are the only person with a problem. Keep it up. I was nice enough to send you a PM instead of issuing another warning (hint, 3 and you're banned)

Keep pushing. If you don't like GTP, you know where the door is...

EDIT: Bye Bye

Off topic. Has anyone notice the suns location in FT 86G video? I was watching it earlier and I notice this.

The one in GT5p is that the sun are around north west or west of the Fuji track, but on this one it's on the east or north east. Go figure.

Its the same in Prologue:

I love GTP, and I love the freedoms I have over the official boards. But I would like to think I would have a little more leeway and mods wouldn't get upset when I laugh at the fact that they hand out infractions over a careless 'lazy grammar' post. I mean, seriously?

However I would like to see this special build of the Demo, or of GT5 whatever it was with the professional drifter. Why has nothing surfaced from TAS?

The professional driver was Super GT and Formula Nippon driver Juichi Wakisaka, not a drifter. I'm going to bet that the special build was his Super GT car (Petronas TOM'S SC430) on Fuji (Toyota owned track), neither of which would be anything new.

Nooo, I believe I read somewhere that there was a professional drifter

Juichi Wakisaka is definitely the man the public are getting a chance to race against. There's also usually a drifting show at TAS with a lot of the pros in attendance, this year is no different. Maybe that was where you read pro drifter?

Actually when people started talking about breaking PS3's, it got way off topic. But seems to have recovered nicely. :)
I was referring to the time of her posting. No matter. She's gone for now.

Thank god we're off of that topic. Now I'm scared to death because of one's reply to my question.

I was wondering if with this GPS functionality that was revealed, it would be possible to download the ghost replay from other people? Imagine downloading Michael Schumachers ghost and "racing" him! Now that would be a way this could have been useful for everybody... Sorry if this has been mentioned before, haven't read the entire thread.

I would think that it is possible but after some thought I can't imagine it being more then a ball or static car as the "ghost car". If the car is being tracked through GPS then there really isn't anyway that it could pickup oversteer and such.

^^

Yes it look pretty good, it's a nice added detail. I wish the player chose pro physics but I guess they left it on default which is "standard".

Yes, you're right, from the driving setting I saw, the player was using AT, standard physics and S2 tyres, while the ASM and TCS were switched off. :)

It does look gorgeous! My bet is there's gonna be a lot of photo mode addicts going to be here. I want to drive that SLR!!!! I kinda hate the SLR in GT4, because of the ugly look in-game and the modeling. Plus the engine sound! It's terrible, but the GT5 models makes you wanting to drive them all! I hope the sound is right enough to love it.

Not sure if this has already been pointed out, but has anybody else noticed in the latest Nurb video that there are 12 cars on track, not 8 as shown at CES? I couldn't see a time limit countdown either, but that could have been slightly off-camera. Anyway, it's a step in the right direction!

Yes I made comment about that in news part. I think that is first time that we see more than 10 cars on track since E3 trailer...

Right, and you know what? I'd probably be happy with 12 to be honest, if that's what it took to maintain a steady frame rate. It's double what we were used to, and 4 more than Forza. Still, if they can up that to 16 and maintain the same hi-fidelity that we are seeing now, all the better.
