If I'm not mistaken it's about 2 a.m. at night right now in Tokyo. I think it's safe to say we shouldn't expect anything over the coming hours. :)

right, but it's 2 am on saturday, the 16th. Meaning the 1st day of the show ended a while ago and nothing GT5 related has been announced.

all they mentioned was the GPS with denso and the new toyota car. Nothing very important...

Yeah but there's still time for that. Although to be honest, I wouldn't expect too much from this event. GT5's announced showings have been a major letdown time and time again.

I'm just hoping for a world release date, and it's better to be on april....:grumpy:

I actually dont really need the windtunnel as windtunnel, i want it as animated photostage, that would be friggin epic.

who ever said it was AWD?

No they don't. They said a week back that having a RWD car in their lineup wouldn't work since they only sell AWD cars.
I thought the whole point of the collaboration was for them both to make two smaller sportscars at a lower development cost. Besides, who said Subaru's has to be rwd. I can't say I've been monitoring the situation though, but if Subaru have dropped plans for thier car based on this platform then it would seem to make the whole point of sharing that engine with Toyota moot.

We don't need skidmarks, we have a wind tunnel. I know they're completely unrelated, but one matters and one doesn't.

I don't think that's any confirmation. The Forza 2 intro had a wind tunnel but there was no wind tunnel in the game.

Wind tunnel at :50

That's great news on the wind tunnel, excellent.

What is also great news is when Kaz mentioned in the Motortrend interview that skidmarks on the road don't matter.

The system works!

Fair point, i'm getting ahead of myself a little. But we have seen it a few times now. I'll be disappointed if there is nothing like that in the game. I suppose it wouldn't (Or rather couldn't) be used in the same way as real life as we are not designing cars, the downforce figure is likely to be just a number that is added onto the car when you add a spoiler etc.

It's the second time we see a wind tunnel/dyno in gt5 videos. Why would they insist?

But when he said it he just said don't get caught up in the little stuff, and laughed, like it was apparent it was already done. Knowing PD it's not, and they're going to delay the game some more when they realize they just should've put it in.

Did someone say wind tunnel?..... :D Oh, the fun I will have with that...

***crosses fingers***

one of the biggest GT5 displays ever built?????????????

When?
It's only the video of the Toyota, the GPS and the 3D????

I wanna somthing more, something like a real gameplay of the final version, with night cicles and rain and collisions with real damage.....

Please Kazoury give me somethig

That's CG only made for the opening. The wind tunnel in both GT trailers are clearly gameplay. Would be odd for them to take the time to do it in gameplay standards just to drop it in the final game.

I wouldn't count on it being full featured or having any use in the game though. My bet it's only a menu background like the ones on prologue.

He didn't say skidmarks don't matter.

I'm hoping our players won't be caught up with minor details. If they pick at every little thing, nobody will be satisfied. It's the overall evolution that will impress. Skidmarks should be of no concern.

That could be taken a couple of different ways, either KY reckons players should not be concerned about something as trivial as skidmarks, or players should not be concerned that skidmarks have been overlooked.

As ambiguous as most of the information regarding GT5 imo.

I would say the one in the GT video is CG as well.

Which doesnt mean we will get lots of news. lol

You seem to forget that this is not a gaming show.

Wind tunnel - see some air go over the car and adjust the spoilers in real time do get the best drag 'co' -efficient number/downforce/lift - exciting for about 20 seconds, then after as exciting as watching paint dry.

How can they they not include skidmarks in a game calling it self The Real Driving Simulator?

I think Skid-marks are closer to the 'driving experience' and add to the realism and fun than a load of geeks in white coats twiddling knobs in a wind tunnel.

PD will include skidmarks because they have been working on the game for 5+ years.

Facepalm if not to PD.

Trust me, I'm a CG enthusiast and I have a keen eye to identify such things. I can see from the smoke, the dyno where the car is sited and the overall look, that the dyno in this trailer is no more CG than HSR or fuji in the rest of the trailer.

It obviously doesn't mean it will be in the game but it certainly was made with gameplay standards and could be in the game as it is. Again, my bet is that it will be a menu background.

Yeah... Clearly :odd:.

OK, maybe not that clear to the untrained eye :sly:
