Tokyo Express thumping noise

This question may have been asked before, but I'm intrigued to know what the annoying "thumping" noise is when I'm racing on Tokyo Express?

Thanks for that. I travel many thousand of kilometers per year on Highways, Motorways, Expressway, including elevated ones, and I would have never picked that. As it doesn't sound like any Elevated highway expansion joint I have ever heard.

Try hitting them at 130mph* and see if it changes your mind

I still laugh now every time I hear these. Early on a friend of mine told me "It was Godzilla walking around Tokyo". He refused to believe my expansion joint explanation.
