Also, mine is the PAL version of the game, but that seems an unlikely factor.

That was it. I got a GT Force Wheel off eBay, plugged it into the bottom port, and it worked. This is really going to cut into my GT3 time. :-)

Ok now getting back to talking about TXR0, does anyone know what or where these cars are in the game: KPGC10 or RX3? I have looked through all 3 classes of cars and found nothing.

Well i just got this game not that long ago. I thought it was good, but it its unreallalitic. Auto Mosendell will be way better.

So...is it possible to change the settings on the Viper so it won't go into an uncontrollable spin if you brake while the front wheels are turned when going over about 90 mph. I've tried changing the front/rear brake ratio, springs, shocks and ride height; but none of these seems to help. If I brake, even gently, the car spins and ends up facing the side of the road. If I'm going slow (under about 90) I can correct fast enough, but over that speed there's nothing I can do.

I tried checking out the FAQ and forums at www.gamefaqs.com, but that wasn't any help. There were a couple of messages oon "best setting for the viper" but they contracted each other. And none of them helped.

I just got the game two days ago and it has become an addiction already...

The car selection is immense, as is the variety of upgrades and body mods. The cars aren't named exactly what they are, but they have a code and that code translates to a real car (all faithfully sculpted). You can get the list at gamefaqs.

Paint jobs (another one of the most common "gimme!" items of GT3 players) are available and easy to use.

I actually like the AI *more* than GT3. Rivals vary wildly in skill and aggressiveness, which is a nice change from "everyone follows the same line and uses same braking points" that dominates GT3.

This game enforces clean driving a lot more than GT3 does, as the races are often too short to make up for a bad mistake. The problem that GT3 has in the Pro League is, therefore, removed (races can't be won on tires alone).

It isn't as pretty as GT3 (though it is far and away better than GT2... I can't believe that someone said that earlier) but it is adequate and I am very likely to hate a game if it looks bad or even blah. The cars aren't named, but they already provided a means to rename them appropriately. While there are more modifications, there are less tweaks that you can make in TXR0 than in GT3 (but the important ones are still there).

Anyway, in case you can't tell, I'm already a huge fan of the game. I'm ashamed I put off buying it for so long fearing that it just wouldn't be as fun as GT3. If you get a chance, it's only $20 new (probably $10 or so used) so give it a shot. If you'd rather be racing modified "normal" cars than F1 or GT racing cars, then this is the game for you.

Some Thirteen devils have some good cash. So do some gangs leaders. But the most is from Wanderers.
If you don't want the loss on your record, at a fork in the road or one of the "blocked" roads turn off of the race course and you will get a draw.

Yeah those Thirteen Devils are sometimes hard to get but all i do is look in the rear view mirror and just get in there paths to bump me foward:D

Indeed friends, TXR0, is the bomb. I like being able to put the kits onthe cars. Hey Viper, the first rule is "unlike GT games, only fix one car at a time. the money does not flow fast enough to have a stable full of thourough breds. Another key is the rear spring rate." I can't wait to beat GT3 so I can get back to Tokyo. I still have many rivals to cream and lots of wanderers to find.

Another good tip: Do not be afraid to totaly whip rivals over and over in order to stack the paper. Remember to check each track segment both directions often. If you come to a segment where you have defeated everybody (all green arrows) race one anyway. When you win, a wanderer may pop up.

Man, I can't believe I never replied to this thread!:cry: I LOVE this game!:cupid::dopey: So many cars, so many modifications, I was addicted as soon as I picked it up. I played it at my friends house, since I have no PS2:cry:, so I didn't quite get it beat. I had somewhere over 350 races won. I can't wait until I get a PS2, this will probably be one of the first games I buy. 5/5, 10/10, whatever you want, this game rocks.;)

The Japanese text on the Plates, is indeed a geographical marker. I wondered myself, but off to the side in fine print in english, it shows you the name of towns. I didnt catch on until I saw Hiroshima and some other town name that I knew from a Godzilla movie...

Can anyone tell me if there is options for ground effects "chassie lights" on tokyo racer or not i think if there was it would be sweet. thnks

o yea and also can u get any nos type stuf for boosts? cuz i have raced some people that it looks like they just take off and i cant keep up wit them?
