im using an R34 Skyline with 717 horsepower@7100RPM.the problem with it not goin over 200 is because of the gearing.my max speed in my Skyline is about 224MPH.but my average speed os 215MPH.my battle speed is 182 MPH.if u want the gearing for the Skyline just post. :D

#2to get the level 8 muffler,you must have 1881(somewhere around that number)miles on the particular car u want the muffler for.
 
Buy an R34, stick everything on it, drive it for 3000kms, stage 9 the lot, adjust gears, and woll-a!
400kph.
Saying that, I've got my 280Z well over that.

Possibly one of the best driving games I've ever played. It's not meant to handle like GT3. It's arcade. Purely arcade. Get over that, and there is a lot to be enjoyed from this game. Not a 5 minute wonder at all.
 
I beat the game way back when it came out. Took about a week. Well kind of beat it. I took out everyone available and just kept cruzing around and never found anyone else to race. It got really boring after that. THe only thing I never got was all the decals. A few left that I couldn't get because no one new would race. Did I miss something?

You can but i think u have to get more then a set of miles for 1 car and it gives a choice of the level 7 engine and level 8 exhust (i think)

Have you beaten White Charisma? And all teh wanderers? If not I doubt you've beaten it. Oh, and by the way, I got the level 7 muffler and level 6 engine. Now its time to work on getting those 1800 and some odd miles to get the level 8 muffler and level 7 engine. If anyone else is doing this, the best way to rack up miles is to race somebody, doesn't matter if you win or lose, after the screen where it gives you the ammount of money won, you will be at the screen that gives the choice to continue racing or go back to your garage. Leave it at that screen and leave and go do something else.
 
I got the final stages of the engine and exhuast...1258 hp and weighing about 2800 lbs...maxed out at speeds of 263...I need to adjust my ratios for more speed...plenty of acceleration...if your looking to buy this engine start saving as it costs over 400,000 to buy.
 
hehe. . . i've got this SKYLINE with like, 1400hp if i'm not mistaken. . . . .took me months, my car tops out at 263mph. can anyone beat that??i'm not sure if i beat the last boss,well, my car is the lookalike Calsonic Skyline. Dayum this game is pimped out, i bought it before i bought my ps2. . .. hehe. . .SUPPOSEDLY they are making a new one, and you can race online with that one too. Man wil that be fun, whooping people in a 1400hp Skyline. . . .: : :drools: : : :

Cant beat...but I sure as hell can tie it! ;)
 
I finaly got the RX3...handles like crap with ALL suspension mods and its sooooooooo slow with all enigne mods and a lil tuning...same with the 240z...i was disapointed :( God when I tried to race the 240Z...saw the accel...I was doing this ~~>:banghead: ...man dont waste money on souping this car up....
