Does anyone know the specs on these rims? Forged or cast/Width/offset/weight

17x7.5
225/45-17
PCD - 114.3
offset - 38

Same specs as the standard Evo VI wheel, just a different design. And, actually, its heavier than the standard Evo VI wheel.

Evo VI wheel - 20.9lbs
Evo VI TME wheels - 23.8lbs

Not sure whether the TME wheel is forged or not. Its very similar to the Speedline Turini, though, which is forged, and very light weight. They're only 19.8lbs for an 18" wheel, which is good. Very nice wheel, and very similar to the TME. Get some of those and get them powder coated white and you're in business. Hope that helps.

I know a guy with those wheels on his silver evo 7. They look soooo nice, and I think they're 18'' too.

Yea, I've only seen them in person once, but they're SOOOO nice. They were on an Acura Integra. Very nice looking. It was a white Type-R, with the JDM front. Looked very nice. The JDM Integra had a wheel similar to that as well, and thats why the guy got them. He wanted the look of the JDM wheel, just a little bigger. Had them powder coated Championship White, like the car. Looked very nice.

Hilg, thanks alot for the info! A guy in my city is selling those TME rims and rubber (Potenza S0-2) for $1750 (CDN). I think its too much money, plus I think the rubber is Japanese spec, which is illegal here in Canada.

for the tires AND the rims? four wheels and tires? or 1 wheel and 1 tire? or one rim? If its 4 rims, thats not too bad. If its 4 rims and 4 tires, thats awesome. if its 1 rim...damn. if it's a rim and a tire, those must be pretty rare then. we need info!

Whats wrong with Japanese-spec rubber?

Enviro friendly maybe? Who knows, Canada and Japan are both full of stupid ass laws. In Newfoundland you cant have a snowman on a street corner taller than 36cm. WTF.

Not sure about Canada, but technically, every tire you have on a street car here in the US has to be DOT certified. And, since they don't give a hoot about the DOT in Japan, none of the tires they have there are. Now, is anyone going to stop you and say "Hey, those tires are illegal" when your driving???? I doubt it. But, it could happen, in theory. Now, in Canada, I'm not sure about how things work. But, you'd be hard pressed to get caught here. Not sure about vehicle inspections though. They might look at something like that in states with inspections. We don't have to do those here in Omaha, so my car never gets looked at by anyone.

Yeah same here, I doubt it would really be an issue.

It is for all 4 rims and rubber, I was thinking more $1200/1300. The rubber isnt worth much to me I get good deals on rubber through work, and if it is Japanese spec its just one more thing that lowers the value IMO.

His insurance could become void in the case of an accident.
Like I said in my first post, it is possible that things could happen. Now, the chances of things like that are slim to none. I've been involved in many crashes, bumps, fender benders and what not in my driving career. A few when driving, and many just involved with. But, never EVER have I ever seen anyone look at someones tires. If someone has a crash when their tires are very worn, then thats an issue. But, if you crash and the tires have plenty of tread, I doubt anyone would look twice. So, possible?? Yes. Probable??? No.

I've seen huge busts at get togethers where the police take out their ticket pad because a guy had one too many headlights on, another had a sound system that was a couple dbs above the limit, and a TON of other idiotic random articles that were fined for. It is rediculous. If the cops are out to try and have people dislike them, they would check things like that. I have seen it...

lol, the cop @ my school is also one of the football coaches, and whenever he's coaching he does it at the end of his shift, so that he can hand out speeding tickets to all the kids that drive to the park. It's pretty funny. Jeff, do you have Officer Hunt at ur school? ...I think Ross does. Anyway, the Japanese-spec rubber isn't an issue for the insurance companies. To them, they just have to replace the tires. They don't have to replace the exact same tires, if they did then 3/4 of all muscle cars would never be insured. All they do is find matching tires sizes and specifications and ur off, it's up to you get new ones. Besides, they'll probably be discarded with the deductible anyway.
