The ZZII is a great car, but it is a shame that there are no wings that look good on the car.
I think all the wings are too big and takes too much "focus" when I watching the car

My ZZII has a wing on it. Sadly, it doesn't show up in the interior view (keep in mind this car is a Standard) when I look from the back. I still loathe the sort of prejudice involving Standard and Premium cars with tuning and various other aspects. I'm going to attempt to use the Tommykaira ZZII in the 15-Minute Races as I continue my GT6 career.

I just finished the 15 minute races with my ZZII yesterday. It kicks ass, won easily. Have fun!

the zzii is amazing. i could not believe my eyes when i saw the price. second car i bought in gt6 (not counting the fit), still my best car. using it currently in the final ia race. it annihilated like the wind. i almost made a thread for this car but thought i'd check in case there was one, lucky i did!

i liked the stock rims, but thought eventually to try new gold rims. they look amazing when rotating, like 24k gold! mine is blue, long low custom spoiler and light blue calipers. all upgrade except stage 3 weight reduction.

i actually don't want a premium interior in this car, i like the standard dials and gear number. (huge tach and gear + suggested gear right in centre also large) reminds me of gt3 when on tracks like laguna seca and r246. wish i used my zzii on gt3, never needed it but give a spin next time i fire up gt3.premium exterior would be nice though, and bodykits.

the car was supposed to be used in gt1 without modifications. i wonder if its ultimate successor, the garaiya is good. it was great in gt4, but not sure if it was fast (or just fun)

Anybody here wanna see the ZZ III??? Or it's just me...

I don't think it has ever been made in real life, but...

Tommy Kaira II appreciation thread?? 👍👍
Yes. This is a great car. Probably the best hidden gem. Costs only 70,000 credits, as quick as cars costing 5 times as much. Even went against racecars - admittedly, with "sleepy" AIs - and won easily.
Now only if PDI converts this into full premium...

Its an "overperforming" car for its PP. It's light, very powerful, tons of grip... and one of the few non-race cars that has front+aero downforce. It also is technically a concept car even though the game doesnt have "concept" in its name. This car is one of the several reasons why concept/prototype cars should be excluded from the normal road cars list and should be put in an entirely new list altogether (list of concept/prototype cars which are not road legal and different from the production versions)

I have more info about the ZZ III

Stats from GT2

Drive trian: MR
Power: NA tune min 197hp Max 223hp. Turbo tune max 276hp
Weight: 1358 lb or kg. (lb is the correct, I think)

And it was the price car in Pure Sports Car Cup Race 2

BACK TO THE ACTUAL TOPIC:p

ZZ II

Stats from GT2

Drive trian: MR
Power: Turbo tune max 588hp
Weight: 2248lb or kg. (lb is the correct, I think)

And it is registered as a RACE car:odd:

Price car in Gran Turismo All-Stars Race 4

According to my notes, books and encyclopedias so are the the ZZ II is listed as an MR car in GT2

Can anyone confirm this?

Have checked most sources I have, except to hook up my PSX and run the game

Cool!!!! We have Christmas smileys....

For those of us on a budget you really get great value out of the Tommykaira ZZII ’00. For 60,000 credits you are getting one sweet monster that will run with the best of them and stay on track. Sure it’s just a standard car but its handling will shock you.

I have added pretty much every tune item to mine and it sits at 916 HP and 648 PP. When you first buy it make sure you do an oil change to boost the horse power before driving it. I have raced it in all kinds of races and you can always turn down the PP to get into others. It will run at 267mph on its own and so far I have peaked it out at 285mph hitting the rev. limiter.

Below I have a few photo screen shots and some photo made images. A great race to grind is Like The wind. On race 1 so far I have only managed 2nd place but on race 2 & 3 I come in 1st every time. Payouts are around 43,000 Cr. So if you are budget minded, a purist or are crazy enough to love grinding your credits this standard car deserves a look.

But it's not a "real" car , if you complain about a Vision cars this is the same.

Wikipedia
The ZZ II was a $90,000 sportcar 2 door coupe production car with a mid mounted tuned RB26DETT (Nissan Skyline GT-R motor) rated at 550 PS (542 hp) with 6pot front and 4pot rear brakes. It also featured front and rear aero diffusers, and a fully built roll cage.[citation needed]

it also lists the zziii as a car they made so i'd say it was not made solely for GT.

it was nice to use in GT300 in GT6 at 300bhp/1100kg. every race (except maybe 1) was a 1,2,4 finish for ASL/Tommy Kaira. (they are essentially the same company)

its hard to have cars in a game that everybody approves. some people may love car, while others may hate its very inclusion in the game. same happened with X2010 and Tank Car in GT5

interesting to race the zzii against the gt-r touring car, as the gt-r and the zzii are both born from the r34

Except the ZZII is street legal... lol. The Vision is not...? so erm...?
Dig a little deeper in Google
"
car was to be sold for $90,000... frankly chump change compared to other European and American supercars that performed no better but cost 3 times as much.

Japan was now officially on the map. It had finally built a 100% bonafide world-class supercar.

But unfortunately, the ZZII never made it into production to prove itself.

"
One or two prototypes is not a real car.

If I remember correctly there were two versions of the car built but the main purpose of it was to be a race car. To my knowledge the ZZII in GT6 is the Concept Race Car version based on the amount of downforce that it has, I don't believe the street legal version was meant to have downforce but it's hard to find information on this car for some reason. If anyone has some good information on this car I'd love to read it.

Within GT6 on the Info link when you open the car page it has the most information and states "sadly only one was built" or words to that effect.

A car that works is a real car. I'm not sure where you're getting this argument from... are one-off coachbuilt supercars not cars in your eyes either?

ZZII is one of the top 3 cheater tryhardest cars in the game. Great car if you have no idea how to drive. This car is designed for people who have the philosophy 'winning is the most important thing'. AWD for noobs-check, fake adjustable DF-check. Oh, it has a stupid unfair advantage in PP racing too. People who race the 111r would love this. Weak sauce, sons. Wake me up when the Cizetta V16T appreciation thread comes up.

What a fantastic attitude.

Yes. :) No not really of course, and he's not really saying everyone who drives it. Just who it's designed for. I still agree with his statements.

No one will ever know if it was or could have been as good IRL as in the game, the game performance is highly optimistic, but I admit it is useful as a 600pp bracket non race car, it was just a vision of what might have been.

i believe it was the best car to drive i've ever driven in gt (ive played all of the main line of games, bar gt2) there's nothing wrong with 4wd. was so glad to have it when i did the matterhorn rally. i love it because you can push the car and push but it won't reach its limit. it gets more slippery as you get towards the stage 3 turbo with a bit of weight reduction, but nothing compared to what some other cars are like *cough*190 E DTM*cough*

I would love a replica in real life one day. closer to the GT body than the real prototype. i like how in gt it's not so bulgey and less rounded, also the black headlight shields (they look great). In real life it looks a lot more like the garaiya

Looking at the current Seasonal Events, the ZZII is dominating the top times for the Suzuka Time Trial (600pp AWD), don't think I've seen any other car in the Top 100.

I've probably got a weak setup on mine or am simply not used to the car, as I currently have a faster time in a (near stock) Aventador.
